I will miss Bean, he doesn't even seem like the same bird after being with you. He has gained so much trust! Bless you.
He deserved better
I love him 😍
No not bean
H lost beanbob squarebutt will be missed
How can you stand to do this to him ? Bean will do better if you make the transition process a little less abrupt. You can do that by having the new owners come and spend some time w/you guys then going home . Then having Bean go with them and after a few days you go visit them at Beans new home! If that was the whole process for going to a new home , that was way too traumatizing! Too much of a shock to a bird that has already had a rough life ! For you to be completely absent so suddenly is so hard to go thru even once! They do not understand!????
I thought that Capri was looking down because she was sad, but she was just trying to open her soda. I feel like she was more very happy for Bean. That’s really mature for someone so young.
Plus....she saw a bunny rabbit! 🐇
Yea and she’s Sean many birds come and go
lol got me there too.. total surprised!
I think she’s happy that she can finally get rid of bean 😒😒😒
With a lifespan of 40 - 60 years, "forever" really can mean forever. I hope Bean gets all the love and continuity he deserves.
They can actually live into their 90s, though it is probably as rare as humans, since humans live on average into their early 80s on average. I think this makes their risk of abuse and unhappiness pretty high as they are likely to outlive their owner's ability to care for them (or their desire to). I also hope that this bird, Bean, gets a home he can live to old age in.
The African grey is the crown jewel of the pet bird world. This one has been through alot. I hope he ends up in a stress free family where he feels valued and loved. Animals give alot to us, probably alot more than we have the ability to perceive.
We all feel bad. Missing Bean and all his progress. Best project bird, ever.
Catherine Fraser he was definitely my fave, too! Such a sweet handsome boy! 🥰
Aww, you did amazing work with Bean and Bean did look so happy with you. I wish if you could hv kept Bean.
I cried. I HOPE Bean gets the perfect forever home.
I cry every time you return a bird.😔 but im excited for their future.
bean looks really cute but remember all parrots are cute :)
Lol!! They are
I had to wipe the tears from my eyes. Really touching and sad. I have a rescued Grey myself and I cannot imagine my life without her.
It would be so hard to not get emotionally attached to every bird you help.❤️😭
I could never give my African Grey away. He is part of my family.
Exactly
So sad. He really bonded with you. Looks like you bonded with him as well. He sure has come a long way!
Even though I just found your channel today and watched the progress of bean… I bawled my head off seeing his next journeys. I hope that he is thriving in his new home where ever he is
Don’t be sad, Bean graduated! 👨🎓
Aw, Bean has come such a long way. He used to be so scared, but now he’s so nice and sweet and such a smart bird too!
You guys have worked an absolute miracle with Bean, he is a completely different bird from the day you brought him into your home, and Capri is so so good with all of your birds and the project birds you being in to your home that need your help.
I could never give the bird back i just get very attached to all birds
I would get attached, too.
And me 😢
I understand. My brother bought chickens to eat... Now they're his pets. I also have 2 macaws because I couldn't leave them stuck in a pet store cage. I have a small Stafford Terrier who I found in a parking lot, trying to play with anyone that got near her, but everyone was afraid. I also have a cat that use to be feral. My former customer had me domesticate the cat to bring it in, but her other cats didn't like him so I brought him home during winter. I also took in a pitbull who I found out in the cold. After a month of looking for his owners without any luck... My friend decide to keep him.
I guess I get too attached to any animal.
@@TheMrKeats your amazing for all you do. 👏👏👏
I get what you’re saying to an extent but (as a person who briefly fostered and birdsat quite a few different birds) I can say that while yes you do get attached, it’s really nice to see all your progress and watch the bird go to their home (new or old) with an improved quality of life because you did something.
How could you ever do that.....I could never do that. So cruel to him. He trusted you and look where he ended up. This breaks my heart. No more of these videos for me..I pray for God to watch over Bean and give him a life long home with people that really know how to care for and love him...
He is probably dead now from a broken heart 💔
It is hard to comprehend why you would keep this bird for such a short time, then drop him off at a room full of noisy birds and have him wait until someone takes him…. So sad for this poor bird.
BirdTricks helped Bean transition from a family that could no longer keep him, the mom had cancer if I remember correctly, Jamieleigh helped him learn to overcome his fear of new humans so he could transition better to a new family. She did him a HUGE solid and maybe you don't understand but these birds outlive there human companions and life happens! NO one that loves birds the way they do wants a bird to be "dead from a broken heart" and now of course he will miss their family but he overcame his fear of new people and is more likely to have a smooth/er transition and thus live a happier, longer, and healthier life because of what she accomplished! Sadly these kinds of comments are exactly the reason she doesn't normally share this part and I imagine it has to be the hardest part, saying "good bye" but by not keeping every project bird she can help more "project birds" learn to trust new humans and not just be fearful and live in a cage never knowing human love and affection, because of fear. I hope my comment will help someone who didn't/doesn't understand why what she is doing is soooo important but there will always be some closed minded people who just can't seem to see the beauty in things like this.
🙏🏽❤️🪶🕊️🦜❤️🙏🏽
I hope Bean is in a happy forever home and thriving!! And even more importantly I hope Jamieligh doesn't let these type of comments stop her from wanting to help more birds in need from the amazing rehabilitation that she can provide ❤ I would love to work with birds like this in the future! Cheers🥂
I hope Bean gets a forever home soon, I can't wait for an update.
Can't help but tear up, but Bean is better for all the training and love you put forward so Bean can have a Happy life's journey. So sweet watching Capri be a part of the BirdTricks team. Thank you for sharing.
Bean thanks you for helping him overcome some issues. I hope he succeeds in his new home.
I’m gonna miss bean a lot
I hope you go visit him while he’s there! Thank you for giving him so much love.
So we better hit up Ronnie's if we want to adopt Bean?! Hahahaha
Awwwwww I love you guys! You're so amazing! The things you do to make the life of one bird soooo much better... but over and over again and then let them go... UGH.
My heros. Capri too... little hero! 🦸🏼♀️❤
Bean seems so much happier and well adjusted.
Poor Bean. Every time he gets comfortable and his surroundings feel like home, he gets trotted off somewhere strange. Parrots have such awful lives.
😭🤧 i'm crying
I’m a bit confused, I thought bean was given to you by a friend to keep!! Poor Bean, I’d have gladly taken him forever 😢
I think too many parrots get passed off to too many people, it’s horrible for them to then trust bonding
Rewatch the first video. She took Bean in to “get him ready” for his forever home. I had originally thought that as well and had to rewatch it. I took in an African Grey over 10 years ago and was going to rehabilitate him and find him a home but here we are over 10 years later because I just didn’t have the heart to pass him off. Debbie is right, so many get passed off and it isn’t fair to the birds but trainers like Jamieleigh rehabilitate them and give them a better chance to stay in a forever home. Owning an African Grey is not easy and should never be taken lightly. They are needy and messy and usually a bit crazy but OH SO Amazing if you don’t ruin them. I am so grateful I kept my boy. Good luck Bean! ❤️
@@debbiemanningkelly6595 from what Jaimie’s shared, he looks extremely happy on his forever home. Eating great, isn’t locked up in a cage, hanging with his family. He’s one of the lucky ones
Bean better find the best home ever!
Hes with my bestie they love him and always talk about how much they love him hes defenetly with a amazing home
More Eclectus videos! I had a female eclectus show up on our property 2 years ago. We tried to locate an owner through social media and driving around looking for signs but to no avail. Chatted with a lady who runs a bird sanctuary here on Big Island and she said it is common for folks here to just let the birds go if they didn’t want them anymore. I have been caring for her since. Her name is Pua and she is a good little bird!
I think it is so sad to see all those beautiful birds in cages.!!!!!😭
My hat off to you 👒 you have transformed Bean and given him the gift of a truly happy and balanced life 👏🏼 - I💜🦜
Bye bean
You put your heart and soul into these project birds and it shows. It's heartbreaking to give them up but they are all the better for knowing and working with you.
good luck bean!
Oh man, that's got to be tough giving up that sweet bird. You did amazing work on Bean. I would always be afraid that the bird might fall into the hands of someone that might not be so kind to him like you guys were to Bean. You daughter is so sweet and a very kind young lady. She is doing some fantastic work with the birds as well. She is learning off her folks the right way. Good job guys.
Jamie, thank you for sharing this part of the journey even though it's difficult to watch I think it's also very important to see ! We can't change what we don't acknowledge ❤️.
You and your family changed Beans life so much that poor little baby didn't understand life until he came into your home ! He was so well adjusted when you brought him right out if the carrier outside 😳, then when he was inside he didn't miss a best just kept eating. He would have been so scared before he would have shaken off the perch poor fella. Best of luck Beany Boy xo
YOur family is totally a GodSend!
Bean has come such a long way it’s amazing what you guys can do!
Awww they are all so cute I love your UA-cam
@BirdTricks I cried so much watching you drop Bean off and seeing all the clips of the amazing progress he made with you. I bet it can be difficult sometimes when it comes to letting them go. You do such an awesome job and it's so nice to see how much better the birds are after being in your care.
Also, your daughter is so adorable! She reminds me of my niece who's about the same age.
I will miss Bean he is a good bird
I don't know ANYTHING about bird ownership, but I just love your channel. Your enthusiasm is infectious and I find your analytical approach to bird training highly informative and entertaining. Watching how yall diagnose and fix behavior is like watching a psychiatrist "shrink" a patient, except the patient is a parrot.
Blueberry was like the neighbor that always invites themselves over to your house, and Bean was like "Umm, I'm gonna chill over here."
That's one that I could have never given up.. I'm sure you have your own reasons, but I could never have put that poor guy through yet another re-homing.. Plus, completely healthy and happy African Grey man...
I’ll miss you beanie boy I’m sure you’ll have a place in many peoples hearts.❤️❤️❤️
Capri is such a sweet kind little girl and shes amazing with the birds.💗
I do hope bean is happy and loved right now, these birds are so intelegent and can get very attached to somone, and wen they feel a loss of a person they suffer bad depression I hope bean is loved very much now by a good person
we love you bean so much wish you luck
I hope his new family will love and respect him like you have done. Ohhhh how i hate goodbyes
This is my first time here. Bean is an absolute gorgeous African Grey!! Hope Bean finds a great home! It is hard to give up a bird that you foster. I couldn't give up birds that l foster. Bean just knew he's going to a new home. Birds just know how a man might receive them. Good luck Bean with your new home! Hello to Blueberry. That's a cute name for the parakeet!
Bean was so lucky to have you work with him and he is going to have a wonderful life in his new home because of you ❤
I’m not on patreon, but want to thank you so much for letting us have these sweet vids of the project birds. I love not having to wonder what happens to these sweet guys.
Awww he is so adorable 🙂🙂
This made me sad:( can’t imagine how you’re feeling let alone bean :(
You helped Bean move through some fears and GROW ! Bean showed in your journey RIGHT IN DIVINE TIMING.
Your daughter is so cute. And some one that we’ll have your gift. Beautiful
That’s sad but at least you had fun and enjoyed being with him 😊😊❤️❤️❤️
Parrots bond with their humans. I hope Bean doesn’t grieve too long.
Aww I love Bean as soon as I saw Saying Goodbye to Bean in the title i thought that he had tragically passed away but Thank god you were returning him really i love Bean and my first parrot i wanted to buy was African Grey Love Bean 🐦
I love your videos guys, I just got a 3y old female African grey, and managed to bond with her so much in 15 days, we came from biting all the time to scratch my head every night and some times during the day too
Taking treat from my lip and just today I managed to teach her to turn around with the stick, then my finger and some times on the word “turn”
Thank you so much for your videos, please keep sharing informative
Stay blessed 💐💐💐
Thanks for setting Mr. Bean up for success.
I've truly enjoyed watching his journey.
You have helped yet another BIRD, congrats! He is so different and he will find a great home that will enjoy him for the rest of his years.
its funny seeing where he was when u first got him and now ur so good with birds i wish i could be that patient goodbye bean!
Noooo not bean I will miss him so much
Capri is so cute it's amazing to see her working with the birds and also understanding that they won't be staying forever I don't don't think I could do it. You guys are amazing
Way to go Bean! He didnt even stress at all!! Really amazed at his progress. Congrats!!
Stop STOP...this made me cry I didn’t want to watch it by like halfway through but I did because of the flashbacks and the music
I watched it again, couldn’t help it! Thank you so much Jamie for everything you did for this special guy! He’s such an amazing sweetheart! 💙
"His new forever home " 😔 thats what you said on day one...
Bean has improved so much, you’re amazing Jamie💖 sending love to Bean🙏 I hope he has a great life :).
Someone pls adopt him! 😭 I hate seeing him go back to the rescue
Ronie’s posted on Facebook that he has found his forever home 🥰
@@jennip13 omg yay!
why did he go back to rescue? im not a native speaker so i couldnt understand everything
A Birb he wasn’t her bird, he was a project bird- she took him from the rescue to train him and get him ready to be adopted. Her work with him is done, so it was time for him to go back to the rescue so he can find a family 🤗
@@jennip13 oh i see but im confused now, wasnt this parrot her friends parrot? i thought that her friend had cancer so had to give the parrot to her
This is so heartwarming! What an incredible feeling that your whole family must have. I am learning so much about pets through your birds. I lost my 14 year old cat this year. It took a lot of grieving before I was ready to share life with another pet. Surprisingly, to my family and friends, I got a tiny,, spunky, brave, aerodynamic, bigger than life, parakeet! I was expecting a clipped bird, (not by my choice, but the pet store said they were all clipped) Jack, or perhaps Jacklyn 😁, is a flying ace! It took longer than anticipated to get him comfortable around me because he chose to fly away from me. Capri, you and Blueberry gave me a lot of hope and encouragement to keep on going at Jack's pace. I would love to know what was the funnest part, so far, of training for you. What "trick" took the longest? How long before he was converted completely to a fresh diet? We are still working on this. Sorry this has become a novel. Your family has given me a passion! I haven't had this feeling in a very very long time! Thank you, thank you so much.
@@NameOmitted this was very kind of you. Thank you.
Awww!!! I was hoping he was going to a home and not a rescue 😞
OMG Jamie, Bless your heart, I bet that is hard, especially when the bird is so scared, n you work thru that and all the process, Thank God for people like you, your one of a kind. love to y'all from Ky ( Keep being you!)
Happy and sad at the same time....love what you guys do as a family....keep up the good work lots of love from cyprus
I’ve watched 3 videos today of bean, his first time home, first week home and now him going to a new home, and I’m already prepared to sob, such a long way he’s made it, I hope this is his last move and finally finds his forever home
Adorable little girl. When I was her age, I also had a "Blueberry".
I will definitely miss Bean too 🥺😩❤️
a little flock of blueberries came yesterday to our mango tree since all the fruit is ripe now. they were so beautiful! Usually we get green lorikeets.
Awww Bean is going to miss you guys SO much! I hope he finds a good home and doesn't have sadness.
Awe I’d love Bean
Greys are just so adorable.😚😚😚😚
Bean so beautiful 💖
🥲 man I wish I could have adopted that cute African Grey, I am hoping he’s doing well now 💕 this was such an emotional video
she looks she really loves him
Oh no! I am gonna miss Bean! I just started following him and y'all, now I am Heartbroken!!!!
Capri is the sweetest little girl she melts my heart 🥺
Thank you so much for sharing
Bean will forever be in our hearts. We will miss u Bean 😭
Bean Awww
Capri had me smiling thru the entire video... You all are amazing.
Watching these videos for the birds but love the relationship with her daughter most of all. What a calm compassionate mama. So heartwarming with her daughter.
Its ok just know she is going to get great care by someone else as well ❤ you got this jamie and this is even a little sad for me but we will stay strong 💪 💙 I love you
Bean a good bird, I also had a Bean, but he was a foster cat that recently got adopted.
I have loved following Beans journey. You have done amazing work and he has come along way. I wish the UK had better bird rescues as we would certainly adopt a bird rather than buying one. It's sad to say goodbye but hopefully now he will go to a loving home and have a brilliant happy life. Our conure is a big foodie too.
I'm only 4 minutes in and don't know Bean's whole story, but I just wanna say raising a kid to interact with parrots is probably one of the wisest things a parent can do. Capri is so emotionally sensitive to them, and calm and gentle in her movements. And parrots give a certain healthy fearful respect of animals that dogs and cats (maybe sometimes cats) can't give to a kid.
That's a lie my kids have no problem with it. How worse is it? Explain
@@vanitahnambatya9793 wow! So negative. The OP didn’t say only kids around parrots learn healthy respect, she simply stated her opinion and basically said it’s a plus. Birds can be more skittish to humans and have the ability to fly. So because they more often come as untamed pets, humans tune into the birds behavior or give up. Don’t take a positive comment and give it an unintended negative connotation. Perhaps he or she should have said “many kids” but she never said “all kids”. OP didn’t lie, you just need to step up your comprehension.
The only thing is that most parrots are afraid of small children, capri is an exception, children move differently than someone older teens and up, but with patients and alot of time it can be done successfully, and as always lots of love, training, etc., it is a very nice thing to see a child that has the capability and ability to be with such worthy parrots!!👍♥️
Elderly, male dogs, that should notmally be dominating the pack by thair age, can definitely teach a small child a thing or two about respect. I know that from experience.
You do amazing things for birds. Bean learned very much, thanks to you. May you please take care and stay safe. Thank you.
I didnt know Bean but im crying m praying for him...
I don't know why they couldn't keep him. Thank you for retraumatizing him. Birds are smart, and he's eventually going to realize if he ever gets close to anyone he will be abandoned. I don't think he will be so welcoming with his next set of owners considering he's been abandoned twice. Good job by the way.
Good thing I am working remotely. Crying my eyes out.
