it mentioned in the Hadith that for a true believer , some of them will get truthful dreams , and Allah only chose a person based on his heart .
Nancy you need to understand that this is no ordinary man,he was a leader of a church,you think he doesn’t know about dreams and the different dreams and there sources. The man has 100000 followers in his congregations . He had the character and strong belief in God for his followers to take the shahada with him. This is faith we are talking about,that is one thing u can’t force on people. If he’s wasn’t a truthful person in his church they will easily replace him than follow him. When Allah speaks to you, you won’t be confuse or be in doubt. We are talking about Allah,your Lord and mine, the creator of the Universe. You know so much about Jesus but so little about The creator. Father and son are different titles and characters,since you strongly believe that he is Jesus father,go back to the Bible and learn about the father,who he is and how he has been operating before the arrival of Jesus. Get to know him instead of replacing him with Jesus altogether,then you will understand or might have a clue what this man was experiencing. As for knowing the difference and discerning the voices between Allah and other beings, when Allah speaks it is the heart that hears not the ears. You will feel it and you will know it, but listening is choice he left entirely in your hands. Hope this helps

O Lord, if you know that this thing (and this thing is then called) is good for me in my religion, in my life here below, and in that of the hereafter, destine it for me, and facilitate its realization, then bless it for me. And if you know that this thing is evil for me, in my religion, in my life here and in the life hereafter, take it away from me, and take it away from me; and destine me good wherever it is, then make me satisfied with it. أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالطَّيْرُ صَافَّاتٍ ۖ كُلٌّ قَدْ عَلِمَ صَلَاتَهُ وَتَسْبِيحَهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ 41
Do you not see that Allah is exalted by whomever is within the heavens and the earth and [by] the birds with wings spread [in flight]? Each [of them] has known his [means of] prayer and exalting [Him], and Allah is Knowing of what they do.
وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ 42
And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the destination.
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُزْجِي سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَهُ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَالِهِ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ جِبَالٍ فِيهَا مِنْ بَرَدٍ فَيُصِيبُ بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَصْرِفُهُ عَنْ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالْأَبْصَارِ 43
Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightening almost takes away the eyesight.
يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِأُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ 44
Allah alternates the night and the day. Indeed in that is a lesson for those who have vision.
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَابَّةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَىٰ بَطْنِهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَىٰ رِجْلَيْنِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَىٰ أَرْبَعٍ ۚ يَخْلُقُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ 45
Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.

إنَّ ما يعيشه العالم اليوم من هرج ومرج وإقتتال وأطماع وأنانية قد يؤدي ذلك إلى نشوب حرب عالمية لا تبقي ولا تذر وسبب ذلك أن البشرية تركت الأخلاق والمثل وغلبت عليها التصرفات اللا عقلانية لأن الذي يحدث لا يليق مع ماوصل إليه الإنسان وما كنا نتوقعه من علماء العالم من المسلمين والقساوسة والرهبان والحاخامات ومفكريه وسياسييه أن يتصدواْ لعلاج هذا الأمر الخطير
وعلى كل صاحب فكرة أو دين أن يعرض ما لديه ويخضع للنقاش وما يجمع عليه الناس فهو الساري ويكون جميل لو تكوَّن مجلس يضم الجميع يكون هدفه الدعوة إلى السلام العالمي يمكن أن يحدث ذلك وقد وصل الإنسان إلى ما وصل إليه من تطور وحضارة أن يستغلواْ هذه التقنيات والمقتنيات في الإصلاح الإقتصادي وإصلاح البيئة وتجنيب البشرية الحروب والكوارث والأمراض التي لا يوجد لها علاج حتى الآن والأرض وخيراتها تسع الجميع إذا قامت العلاقات على تبادل المنافع والمصالح دون ظلم أو هضم لحقوق وهذا ما تدعواْ له الأديان الثلاثة ومن بوذيين وهندوس وأن الكل محتاج إلى بعضهم البعض وإذا جاز لنا أن نقدم ما عندنا كمسلمين من مثل وأخلاق نقدم الإسلام دون إكراه أو فرضه على الآخرين أو تبخيس ما عندهم من أفكار وأن الإسلام لديه الحلول لكل مشاكل الإنسانية ويمكن التعامل معه كفكر وأرث إنساني إسلام الدعوة المقدم على الدولة وإسلام السلوك المقدم على الحدود ونظن أن بوتن بعد موقفه الأخير من حرق القرآن في السويد وتعامله مع المسلمين في روسيا يمكنه أن يكون له دور في هذا الأمر حتى يجنب العالم مما هو ذاهب إليه بسبب الحرب وعليه نقول لبوتين يمكنك فتح المجال والتسهيلات للإسلام الوسطي الذي لا تشدد فيه ولا غلو إنما الدعوة إليه بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة لينتشر في روسيا ولأن الروس وحتى الغربيين حسب تعاملهم وأخلاقهم لا ينقصهم إلا النطق بالشهادة وأنهم فيهم الأمين والصادق والمخلص وهذه هي الصفات المطلوبة ليسعد الإنسان ونقول لبوتين إذا فعلت ذلك سوف لن يقف أحد أمامك لأن مجتمعك سوف يكون متماسك ولا دولة أقوى منك لأن العزة لله ولرسوله والمؤمنين وقد تقدم بذلك نموذج للغرب يحتذى وسوف لا تكون هناك حاجة إلى سلاح نووي أو عابرات قارات لأن الإسلام دين سلام (المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده والمسلم أخو المسلم لا يظلمه ولا يخذله ولا يحقره كل المسلم على المسلم حرام دمه وماله وعرضه) وتعاليم الإسلام هذه موجودة في كتيِّب بعنوان:(رسالة إلى الباحثين عن الحقيقة)

فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ 36
[Such niches are] in mosques which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein; exalting Him within them in the morning and the evenings
رِجَالٌ لَا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَارَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ ۙ يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَالْأَبْصَارُ 37
[Are] men whom neither commerce nor sale distracts from the remembrance of Allah and performance of prayer and giving of zakah. They fear a Day in which the hearts and eyes will [fearfully] turn about -
لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا وَيَزِيدَهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ 38
That Allah may reward them [according to] the best of what they did and increase them from His bounty. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.

You both should read and make research on the classification of dreams in Islam.We have 3 types of dreams, the dream from Allah, dream from the devil and the that of imagination of things compile in our brains.Research for yourselves and know which exactly eventually comes to reality.
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَعْمَالُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍ بِقِيعَةٍ يَحْسَبُهُ الظَّمْآنُ مَاءً حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَهُ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْئًا وَوَجَدَ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ فَوَفَّاهُ حِسَابَهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ 39
But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing but finds Allah before Him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allah is swift in account.
أَوْ كَظُلُمَاتٍ فِي بَحْرٍ لُجِّيٍّ يَغْشَاهُ مَوْجٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ مَوْجٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ سَحَابٌ ۚ ظُلُمَاتٌ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ إِذَا أَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرَاهَا ۗ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجْعَلِ اللَّهُ لَهُ نُورًا فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ نُورٍ 40
Or [they are] like darknesses within an unfathomable sea which is covered by waves, upon which are waves, over which are clouds - darknesses, some of them upon others. When one puts out his hand [therein], he can hardly see it. And he to whom Allah has not granted light - for him there is no light.

we believe in islam there are three types of dream, one form god , from devil , from a person speech.
Allah revealed himself to Mohamed in a dream.The devil comes as an angel of light.Not all good voices comes from God.
✓No one is sure that even mohamed made it to heaven.
✓Koran Surah19:71-72 says every one will first pass through hell before it is decided who will proceed to heaven.
✓Only in Christ Jesus are we promised eternal life for those who believe.
✓It would be heart breaking to serve Allah faithfully then you are rewarded by hell fire first.May Christ himself reveal himself to those that haven't believed.
لَقَدْ أَنْزَلْنَا آيَاتٍ مُبَيِّنَاتٍ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ 46
We have certainly sent down distinct verses. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
وَيَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالرَّسُولِ وَأَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّىٰ فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا أُولَٰئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ 47
But the hypocrites say, "We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey"; then a party of them turns away after that. And those are not believers.
وَإِذَا دُعُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ 48
And when they are called to [the words of] Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, at once a party of them turns aside [in refusal].
وَإِنْ يَكُنْ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ يَأْتُوا إِلَيْهِ مُذْعِنِينَ 49
But if the right is theirs, they come to him in prompt obedience.
أَفِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ أَمِ ارْتَابُوا أَمْ يَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَحِيفَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَسُولُهُ ۚ بَلْ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ 50
Is there disease in their hearts? Or have they doubted? Or do they fear that Allah will be unjust to them, or His Messenger? Rather, it is they who are the wrongdoers.
إِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوْلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذَا دُعُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَنْ يَقُولُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ 51
The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those are the successful.
