- In this video I take out the foil drive slim unit on a flatware day to try and learn to get up on a small prone foil board.
Gear:
KT Drifter Slim 4'4 25L
Lift 32 in mast
Lift 220 HAX
25 High Aspect Tail
Practice makes perfect! That three blade would have made a big diff in starting off but looks like you've got it down. Would love to see another clip after a few sessions and see how you progress!
@@foildrive getting better each day! Starting to like riding the small board with foil drive more and more. More progress videos to come ;)
I am thinking of getting a foil drive, I like the slim because it is lighter, am I am quite light weight 65kg, do u recommand the slim? Also which battery you used in the vid? Performance or the endur? How long did that last in this vid until battery 100% drained, thanks
@@chanedd I do like the slim but definitely the biggest downside compared to the max is the battery life. I have multiple batteries to make up for it. In this video I used the performance battery and I usually get around 20-25 minutes with some efoiling and some non motored foiling in there. Heavy efoiling it’s closer to 15 minutes
Love the FD content! Looking at getting a setup when my knee heals but was curious if you like your motor distance or if you would consider going shorter at any point?
@@FoilFanatic42 I like where mines at because I’m mostly riding in chop and efoiling to the next wave. If it were calmer conditions/only using it as a true assist I would go lower
I tried my Max Sport on my old KT 34 wing drifter, it was a struggle and consumed so much battery, after I dug my old kt prone 35 liter which is a 5,5 by 20, it was so easy to get going and felt so good on foil, I only needed minimum battery power to get going.. its great to mess around and experiment ..
@@FOILING-ITALY so much fun trying out different combinations! This board definitely drains the battery fast when trying to get up. I’ve noticed The smaller board likes to be used as a true assist going with a wave much rather than “efoiling” around
@@hunterlukes what setting did you have your foil drive on
@@FOILING-ITALY I put it on the low mode
How do you like the 220 hax? I was thinking about getting it for downwind conditions and get small boat wakes with the Foildrive
@@Detron3000 I like it a lot! It’s very easy to pump and can catch the smallest of waves. Can dock start it too which is something I really haven’t found too easy with any other lift wings
Great! How much do you weight?
About 155lbs (70kg)
