I think rather than adding e after a for American accent people should use y and use it a little long as the situation like make = mayke ,take = tayke, late =layte etc
1:00 Æ: Extension of the "a" sound. 3:32 rrr sound: arrgghhh like a pirate 5:09 The L sound: Ignore if in the middle. But focus on hitting the roof of your mouth if in the beginning. 7:00 W sound: learn to differentiate from V 7:45 O sound: more emphasis on oohh. Do not shorten . 10:45 Example sentences including all sounds learnt.
Words cannot capture my appreciation!! You are amazing❤ I have watched a lot of videos on this topic but there was no one who made it so easy to understand I am grateful that I found your channel😊You really really deserves more subscribers🙂
Wah...what an attempt to correct aspiring Indians to learn US native English. Lakhs of Indians are benefitting from you sir... Thank you so much n number of times..❤
"Indians are benefitting" sorry to burst your bubbles but I don't think it does anything for Indians considering that every Indian, whether young or old, that I've ever come across in the west or in India itself in the last 10 years could hardly be understood when they try to speak English. Acquiring foreign accents after a certain age becomes almost an impossible task as you have to do a lot of deprogramming with the way you position your mouth and tongue. The best thing that parents of Indian kids can do is to demand that the government of India hires native speakers of the English language to teach their kids how to speak English with the proper accent as soon as their kids are old enough to go to school. It is important that kids are taught by native speakers of the English language at an early age because their brains are malleable at that stage in their lives. Studies have shown that kids can learn any accent between the age of 1 and 10 with ease. After that age it becomes increasingly harder.
Every rational person should thank you, thank you a lot sir, we appreciate your time and your effort to help many who are in need, your a 100 % right in everything you say.
Mannn!!! You are wayyy too good 👌 love how you can actually pronounce the way us indians pronounce as well. Makes it easier to understand and follow along 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
A couple of other very important points changing 't' and 'd' from retroflex to alveolar, 'th' to a fricative, pronouncing 'f' as a fricative and 'z' as a voiced fricative.
Interesting stuff. Would love it if you could make one for Dutch speakers. Thanks for all your video's, they're very informative and they've helped me out a lot!
At 12.4, u look like indian actor dharmendra who makes this expression before beating villains nd abusing them😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤ but thnx this video is very helpful for me for giving presentation in english
Thank you very much sir, now I can finally learn to speak proper gentleman's english like Shah Rukh Khan in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, so I will stop being called as Jason from Microsot tech support in America by the American peers and colleagues.
Sir with words you should tell some sentences as well. That'll be really helpful and easy to understand for us. BTW i appreciate your videos and learning from it.
Its the british english influence on the rrr's. Since Indians generally pronunce rrrr rumbling their tongue in mothertongue, avoiding r's altogether was a better approach.
Nice video but I need clarification on pronunciation of pronunciation. Some natives say pronounciation including this video as well but dictionary says pronunciation.
one thing u didnt point out is how indians pronounce t in middle of a work .. they pronounce it strongly whereas in american accent u have to do it lightly ( like in meeting )

This really helps me improve my Indian accent!!!
1:00 Æ: Extension of the "a" sound.

In American English, we say learned (instead of learnt). Just FYI 😊
You don't ignore it if it's in the middle. You pronounce it by making a dark L sound.
