This all makes so much sense. I've had two hemorrhagic strokes. One on the left fide and the other on the right. Physically I'm recovering nicely, how ever, my concentration, reading, writing and short term memory are a mess. I had to quit my job, I'm an actor so memorizing lines is nearly impossible. Get angry and I feel isolated. Reading this post make me feel less alone. Thank you.

I had a stroke during lockdown and everything is visually noisey. Everything comes at you so fast (scenery) when I get home from a drive (my husband drives as I'm not safe) I sit down shattered and feel like I've been in a loud disco for hours. Hope it gets better

I've had 3 strokes in the last five years. Retired as a big ticket sea captain, now I can only barely do simple arithmetic. Have very little balance and my legs just seem to quit on me. Short term memory is very poor, although I can remember stuff from 50 years ago. I had iron control of my emotions before, and now cry at the least provocation. Many of the skills I used to have, are gone now. One of the main losses is the will to live.

Capt. Cross please know that you are not alone in this. I really feel for you but don't pretend to know what you are going through as every stroke is different. I survived a stroke during lockdown and have also been finding it difficult. My brother died of a similar thing 25 years ago. You and I have been given a second chance xx

My mom had a stroke in September 2021. She had a subarachnoid hemorrhagic stroke. After her brain surgery. She was 90% okay. Except she couldn't move her legs. After 25 days, she began to move her legs. She gradually improved too. But in December, she started to become disoriented. Day by day, this became severe. Like now she barely talks. She can't do her necessary things. The medical reports of hed condition seems fine so doctors here can't find out the exact causes. Then her EEG report showed that she has some dysfunction in the brain. But I want to know is that, are you familiar with this kind of condition of a stroke patient? If so then is it reversible?

I totally knw how they feel. Had a stroke in 2018. Lost my sense of taste for a while. Focus is lacking.

Is it starting to come back at all in any way?

My sense of taste comes and goes. So annoying. Focus is the same. Was recently diagnosed with epilepsy due to the stroke. Seizures are causing involuntary movements...etc.

@@stevee.4869 well isn't that just par for the course, were you epileptic before? I've never had one but on d day, I had a stroke and 2 anyerisms, or the other way around, and apparently I was seizing alot that day, although the did not declare me epileptic, I'm on anti seizure meds for forever now

@@stevee.4869 also I think the focus thing is fairly common for us all on some level, some days I feel ready to take on the world, other days it's a battle to just brush my teeth

I was never epileptic before the stroke. Neurologist told me that scarring on brain after stroke is cause of the seizures.
