This is the Motorola StarTAC 3000, a very basic StarTAC phone. Works on AMPS 800.
Sorry for the hiatus, I was trying to solve my life.

No, it’s impossible. This phone is analog, it doesn’t take any kind of SIM card.

No, it’s not usable anymore. This phone is analog, analog networks are not available since many years ago.

Not this model because it’s an analog phone but the later models like the 85 which i have myself still work if you get a 4G card, you need a new one if you don’t have the credit card size one like not the standard size SIM card which is the biggest cut out on a modern card but the full size SIM card with the plastic around it, I call it the credit card SIM because it looks like a credit card. Just a tip: tape the smaller SIM card to the plastic so it doesn’t fall out and let me tell you it’s worth because it’s a pain in the butt to take it out once it’s nice and stuck in there
