Why do men critique Meg for owning her sexuality and rapping about it? All the pop girls sing about is heart break, all the male rappers sing about is sex and money but ya’ll hold female rappers particularly black ones to this weird standard of having to be extremely versatile. It’s strange to me, but I digress.
Because honestly I don’t know anyone that talks about sex non stop except for Meg, Cardi & Trina. Most of the other girls have those songs but are at least versatile a little. It’s just so tired. Give something else. Why do ppl have such a problem with song called out about being a one trick pony? Especially when it’s a valid criticism. And while men do talk about sex I can’t say I know of a male rapper where every single song is about sex & they are showing off their ass & body in every single video. They may throw in a line here or there but that’s about it.
@@skidrow1800 megan has several songs where she doesn’t talk abt sex. the ones abt sex blow up and she knows it gets clicks and goes mainstream. it’s the algorithm that’s the problem not her
Fun fact: Her music video is actually very well planned it’s based on a japanese legend about a man eating eating snake woman so she really did her research (or her team at least)
Megan’s body is a work of art, so it makes sense! I do hear the Tiktokiness of it. She has some songs that are made to be hits, they’re catchy, but she does also have songs that don’t have repetitive hooks, etc. so it’s on purpose. Great reaction!
The whole thing is a reference to a Japanese legend/folklore of a snake creature that has the body of a snake and the head of a woman (nure-onna) that can tranform, lores men into her den and devours men. Even the name of the song "mamushi" is a Japanese viper. In the legend the creature sometimes would break apart the body of who she killed and distribute the parts to the different spirits that helped her. In the MV i believe shes using the souls of the people she killed to make an army The blue people are a reference to that as well as to the 1990 Japanese film dream by akira kurosawa
@@SeanStaxxMusic You know it! Megan says he rapped in a style she never heard from him before and apparently there will be an animated MV that the Boondocks animator has teased.
I like the song n the idea of the vid is cool, but I'm not a big fan of such extra nudity, I cannot see what artistic, dramatic or positive value it serves...just an opinion n I like ur reactions🔥
@@charlitingz4318 Honestly, that’s your opinion but me personally I kinda like it and exactly we’ve seen it with her over and over again so that’s what you expect with her so it’s not a surprise you kinda know what you’re getting with her
While I agree with this for the most part, I don’t think this song is bad. Definitely geared towards tiktok and that generation but it’s not for me. A lot of female artists rely on sex to sell their music unfortunately. Same way a lot of the male artists use flexing or violence to sell theirs.
I have to say this. I cannot keep not saying it. If you're a father of a 14 yr old daughter, would let your daughter listen to her and repeat and sing her songs? Or dress and have the same "don't need no man if don't have this or that or put me on a pedestal attitude and having unrealistic version as the kind of man to throw her thang to. I'm so glad my 19 yr old daughter loves the music I love and it's not this ho rap.
Megan is grown and makes music for grown adults. Kids get into and consume things they aren't supposed to all the time. No new news. That's why it's the PARENT'S job to either teach them how to navigate through that responsibly, or (if you are even able to) shield that from them completely. Either way, it's YOUR job, not hers.
Your children shouldn’t be listening to rap or Megan since she appeals to adults. If your children are listening to this music, you’re a terrible parent, and you need to step up. Not Megan. Megan makes music for adults, if ur kids like it, then check them. Ur wasting ur time hating on a female rapper sounding like a prude and lazy. Raise ur kids right don’t depend on artist to do it for u

She was literally in a Japanese bathhouse where everyone is nude lmao
So statues of David and the like have no artistic value then? .... smdh

Gotta have visuals when the music sucks -
Most of these new girls rely so hard on cool videos to distract you from how bad the song is.

I love the song, and a lot of other ppl do too that's why the song is on top. You have your own opinion doesn't mean everyone else agrees.
Very underwhelming ration. You seem bored.
Pretty much lol the song is mid so hard for me to excited

I didn’t like when she was a snake and the video was weird.
The song is literally named “snake” in Japanese LMAO
