- There is a very good chance you have been a fan of Zoë Bell's work for many years and never realized it. From such series as the 90s-tastic 'Xena: Warrior Princess' and Quentin Tarantino's bloody epic 'Kill Bill' movies, Zoë has been jumping, kicking, punching, and otherwise giving fans the amazing stunts they so desperately crave. We dive into these decades of action in this episode of The Hollywood Reporter's Magic Hour.
Her long standing working relationship with Tarantino has evolved her roles over the years. First, with her high profile acting role in 'Death Proof' (where she naturally did her own stunts), and now as a stunt coordinator for his latest film 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.'
"Being a stunt coordinator, it was like a perspective shift" says Zoë. "Our relationship had always been, he was like 'I want this' and I was like 'let's do it!'"

One of the best things about Tarantino's indulgence in the film industry is his appreciation of all the smaller roles and different jobs which make up the movie magic he adores so. By allowing someone like Zoe Bell the opportunity to act within several of his films, bringing her into the spotlight allows people to notice how important her profession as a stunt actor truly is! - Be right back, I'm off to re-watch Death Proof!

Her acting part on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was less than a minute but as Janet, she was amazing & most memorable parts of the movie. To find out she is a stunt woman, I have a whole new respect for her.

Yup, and also a sort of sweet epilogue to Death Proof where stuntman Kurt Russell and stuntwoman Zoe Bell tried to kill each other. Now in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, they play stunt coordinators married to each other.

My co-workers asked me what my favorite Tarantino movie was and I literally said Death Proof BECAUSE of Zoë Bell! Zoë is amazing on her own but is the reason those amazing Tarantino scenes are amazing! She makes that sh*t look GOOD!

I love Zoe! It's so ironic that she intended to go to Med School and became a stunt woman. I wanted to be a stunt woman but after an SUV shattered my spine and my life as a professional martial artist, I decided to become a doctor. I'm currently in medical school to become a trauma surgeon and just like her Mum said, I guess I'm where I belong ❤ Safe stunting girl, you rock!

The things she can do! What a role model and inspiration. If I had seen someone like her when I was younger, I would have pushed to do what I wanted instead of what I was told. Because Zoë has done it, I feel empowered and hope for better roles for truly physically strong women. She is the real star for me (not a part of a role).
