Great looking figure! These are based on the original designs from the trading cards released in 1962 by Topps, which the Burton film is also based on. Oddly, Premium DNA has figures available for preorder which are also based on the cards.
This was great love mars attack stuff . A really enjoyable video much better than sitting down and finding sliced beetroot lined up on the toilet seat. Thank you 🙏
@@OilersWorkshop Yea the hot toys Martians were great looking but some had rubber breaking over time issues . Their whole body was rubber covered. They looked great though.
The Martian looks great , I’m getting one . I think there’s another company also making martians that company is also making the military soldiers. In mars attacks I think.
2:13 I really want a figure based on the trading card package art, which differs enough from the actual trading cards themselves. I want the same gross sculpt and same exact colors
Nice review, the fig looks just ok to me. I was going to pre order a pair for some fun photos but at plus fifty bucks a fig... That's a no can do! I'll wait till I find them on clearance for thirty... Wish they added swivel to the hips of well
Looks great! But in terms of film accuracy, I think the brains are a little too narrow and they should be larger and rounder. Same goes with the glass helmet, of course. But overall presentation, detail and paint work is excellent.
I just got mine! Overall love it, but the hip joints on mine are incredibly loose. Have you had any issues with this? I had to use a claw stand to grab it at the waist so that it won't flop over.
I love the characters from this film but held off purchasing as Super7 were going through some serious QA issues at the time this came up for pre-order. I was also concerned id spend £55 and then find its heavily discounted as BBTS and others had practically everything Super7 at 40% off for months and months due to the bad press.
Yeah I hear ya, I think these are solid, there was slaps rumors going around that Super7 would be focusing on fixing concerns like lack of articulation and paint quality, seems as though this one is a winner either way
Well the Tim Burton Movie is based on the cards series….so it’s all the same property. I don’t really care what it’s based on or how it was licensed, at the end of the day, it’s a cool alien(literally the same design as the movie) and the Movie combines Tim Burton’s style and these cards seamlessly to me, so to me it all feels right. Never had the cards never seem the cards, not really worried about it

Oh wow, I had no idea! Thanks
Which also explains the left pointing hand like in one of the cards. It’s an awesome looking set.
I was just going to mention the Premium DNA version. Wonder how they will compare.
Premium DNA are also the guys that ran Megalopolis which screwed a ton of people out of money when they shut down their site. So boooooo to them
I agree, that 50s style sci-fi era is pretty awesome. I used to work at Fry’s electronics Burbank CA where their whole theme was just that.
Awesome

I’m glad it was enjoyable for you
Ayo a new Mars Attacks figure, great review!
And shoutout for being able to do the Vulcan Salute cause that's a genetics only thing 👀
🤷🏻♂️
Movie never got the attention it deserved thanks for sharing
Yeah, no problem
Hot toys take on these way back was pretty cool! Especially the ambassador .
Didn’t know hot toys did anything with this license?
@@OilersWorkshop yessir! Mms 107&108

Looks awsome! I feel like rewatching that movie now.
Do it!
I’ve gotta get this, thanks so much for showing it
👍👍👍
OMG! It's Russell Crowe! lol. just started watching your vids. Pretty cool
Hey, thanks! Lol
Super cool figure, can't wait to have it. I'd love if Super 7 make Cryptosporidium from Destroy All Humans too.
That would be cool!
These are awesome. Loved the movie growing up.
Me too
I have been looking forward to this figure for a while its so awesome ACK ACK ACK
It’s really great!…ACK
I think the figures are based off the classic trading cards from Topps
Yep, the movie is based on those too
Wow, awesome figure! I didn’t even know about these. Great review. Now you have to build some kind of 50’s sci-fi dio for him.
If I ever have time
Nice I love it❤
I'm glad you like it

Oh neat
If I every win the lottery, I'm buying an army of these guys!
That’s a good plan
This is absolutely amazing, this small fish bowl is so much better than the big one you were comparing to, so excited for this!!
It really is!
I cant wait to get one! great review!
Hope you enjoy it!
How are you doing all this in a 90 degree room? Amazing
Uh…lol, very sweatily

Ok
Bruh, you slayn me. Dign the light hearted review. Rings & Wings baby!

Ok
Good luck finding these on clearance anywhere soon. Maybe eBay 3 yrs from now when they are going for $250.
Id love neca to make figures of these. Btw you should look into, the universal monsters by neca. They're amazing.
Thanks
@@OilersWorkshop my pleasure 🙏

Fair enough!
I just got mine! Overall love it, but the hip joints on mine are incredibly loose. Have you had any issues with this? I had to use a claw stand to grab it at the waist so that it won't flop over.
Brush on some acrylic floor wax in the joint to stiffen it up
@@OilersWorkshop I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip!
I will buy one
Good
I just now realized that the way they killed those Martians is the same way they killed the monsters in the Quiet Place movie
Yes! Sound and water are our best weapons against the invaders
The company making martians is called premium DNA.
Thanks
great editing dude!
Appreciate it!
Those martians sold out so fast back in the day. I could’ve got a differently coloured Martian but no screen accurate ones.
Hmm, well these are still available today! 😄

I would die

How much money did that cost?
Like $50
You do realise this is based on a card series from the 60s, not the Tim Burton movie?
