The current drummer, as seen in the song Jerusalem, is none other than Sami Kuoppamäki - the drummer of Kingston Wall.

VHB are one of, if not THE best band on the planet right now and the Tavastia is a fabulous venue. Was lucky enough to see these guys there in Feb this year and it was filmed professionally - I'm really hoping that it gets a full DVD/CD release.

Hi Kevin, less than 6 weeks until the release of the Bluray/DVD, have you ordered yours yet ? 🤘 or are you even going to the release concert ? I wish I could 😕

Hi Rudolf.Yes to both! Ordered the UK bundle (BluRay, CD, LP & T-Shirt) and have my trip to Helsinki planned already too. Can't wait - the show was brilliant! Its a shame you can't make it over

Your joy is my joy 😆 and it's double fun for me to experience the songs of the festival once again through someone else's eyes and ears 👍 and I can tell you the brothers really rocked the festival, even though they weren't the headliner they were the winner of the hearts. I talked to several people who said, they came because of some of the other bands but were really impressed by the brothers. Not only being in front row, which was awesome, but also meeting the brothers afterwards personally made this one of the best concert experiences of my life ❤ I'm already looking forward to the next chance to see them live, so far the chances for you to see them in England are a bit bigger than see them in Germany ... we'll see 🤔 until then we can listen and watch .. thanks to all the people who released their videos here 🤘
Big shout out to eclipsed magazine 👍 without them I never would have found out about VHB ... and many other great bands ... which you don't hear on radio .. I wish I had my own station ... I'm sure I would never run out of new music and for sure I would never play the same song more than once per day 🤣

At no point during these gigs did anyone say 'Crikey! Let's have a bit less of that!' These were the kitchen sink remixes and all the better for it. I think I used the word 'super-professional' before with the Von Hertzen Brothers and I certainly stand by that.

I have been aware of VHB for a good decade or more and knew several songs so took the chance to see them live a year ago. Thought that kept popping into my head whilst watching them was ‘why aren’t these guys headlining arenas?’ Since then have got their back catalogue and have to say every album since Stars Aligned’ (5 albums back), there isn’t one bad song across the 5 albums and they have since become my go to band and feature heavily on my play list

I like Peace Patrol far and away more than anything else I've heard from them. Looks like they put on a fun show!

I was there in first row and it's one of the best concert experiences in 47 years 😊 several people who came for other bands said that they really like the music and the Show of the brothers. For me they were the Stars of the Festival even though they were not the headliner. They rocked the place as you can see in New Day Rising - not the "normal" behaviour of people at prog concerts😂

Thanks for asking, it was fucking Brilliant! First time seeing them performing live! The amount of talent, but the most I was impressed is Mikko's voice. He's such a good singer. I never had a chance to see Kingston Wall live (I lived abroad) but "Kuoppis"(Sami) in drums is a genius. Still I wonder why the relatively small venue wasn't packed 🤔@@rudolfbecker4313

@@skurkela thank you for your answer, I'm glad you liked it. Obviously it's just as Jim says : why don't know more people this excellent band? I think the major problem is, that the record industry puts all their money into shitty chart music and so bands as VHB have to promote themselves, which is hard with the small amount of money, they probably have compared to being at a major label. So we fans have to support them, mouth to mouth propaganda, spread their music via youtube ... which is hard too, if you look at channels with 100.000+ subscribers they all go almost safe and react to music of bands, were at least the names are known... maybe I should try to convince for example the Daily Doug to react to them 😄🤘 I hope to see them again next year in Germany👍
PS: what was your favourite song ?

Hi Jim. I got 2 questions for ya:
Will the 4 of you be doing another group video again sometime soon?
Will you be doing anymore Ren reactions?
Here's hoping the answer to both of these questions is Yes : )

    Hi Jim,
The festival was held in Valkenburg in south of the province of Limburg (the most beautiful 😊(and hilly) province of the Netherlands). It’s around 30 km from Germany and Belgium. It’s a well known tourist attraction in the Netherlands.
Another try with the von Herzen brothers. I didn’t like them that much so far.
The first song sounds quite good although a bit noisy.
2nd song. Mmmm…..no. Not that fanciful, quite messy and the singing is a bit unstable. He’s singing constantly at the top of his voice. Sing a bit lower and you will be able to reach those higher notes.
3rd song. Can’t say I like this very much because of the same reasons.
4th song. Hooray he’s singing a bit lower and it sounds much better.
5th song. Good rock song, no more no less.

It surely was fun being there in row #1😊 ... and I understand your critic, it's often the singer which makes the difference between "the band is ok for me" and " I like them very much". I talked to the brothers afterwards and I can tell you, they are great guys, their attitude similar to dutch people - not as "stiff" as many germans😅

@@rudolfbecker4313 I’ve been on Hollidays many times in Germany and I must say that Germans are very nice and polite people. They are a bit distant at first but when they realize that you can speak their language quite well, the ice breaks as we say in the Netherlands.
The biggest problem for me is the way which they work with rules. Rules are rules and must be followed, always. Don’t try that here. We will find a way around the rule or ignore it. Often slightly breaking the rules is tolerated. Rules are there for the people.
Germans are also Titel geil. Herr Professor Doktor Ingenieur. You will be laughed at here if you insist that you will be addressed that way.
Ich liebe Deutschland und die Deutschen im algemeinen doch sehr und Ich hoffe dort noch oft zu kommen.

@@palantir135 I "hated" the Dutch when I was young, I originally come from Cochem/Mosel and they also walked along our house at night, being drunk and singing 😀 My brother in law lives in the Netherlands since 93 and since 2014 we regularly come to Noordwijk, we even call it our second home. So being adult my opinion has changed. For example I feel being welcomed no matter if the people in the Restaurant are 18 or 50, it's some kind of live and let live... which is the way I look at life. And the thing about the titles is not quite the same anymore. In my Company work 3 doctors, one was Prof Dr, but I never use their title. So what is your favourite Spot in Germany?

@@rudolfbecker4313 I’ve mainly been to places where there’s a lot of nature reserves, beautiful landscapes and historical cities and villages around. Every region has its beauty.
I love the Eifel the most I think, followed by the Hartz.
The Alpine regions are beautiful but I prefer to go, in summer, to Austria or even better Switzerland. I’ve been to those countries many many times. Age is slightly kicking in and astma so those two countries are a bit to much for me. In Germany I can get enough oxygen.
Yes, I love it when people get tickets for being distracted by phones. I ride a motorcycle and I want drivers to see me and take care for me.
