Puneet Kohli once aspired to a #career in hotel management, but destiny had other plans when he took over his family’s Chole Bhature business.
Sita Ram Diwan Chand’s Chole Bhature has a history dating back to 1950 when Sita Ram and Diwan Chand began their venture together on a bicycle.
Fast forward to 2023, they now sell approximately 7000 plates per day. Puneet's recipe for entrepreneurial success, as he puts it, "SSG - Start karo, Simple karo aur Ghatiya karo"

I also work with my father and it’s really difficult to change old systems and how the old staff is used to working, hats off to him.
I can relate what he saying at 8:20 "ye bahot badi myth h, handover milti hai" recently I have joined my father's business... it's totally true😂
And that is Correct as well Wisdom late aati hai and slowly slowly aati hai. Young age me Hum Agressive hote hai Risk Takers hote hai but that can lead to Downfall. Jitna hai utna bhi nai rahega. But 10/20% of Net Profit everybody's Dad should give them to try out their Agressive Growth Strategies.

2:35 the female is wrong when saying sitam ram diwan chand rate of Rs 100 per plate of chole bhature is cheap since she is not aware majority chole bhature are sold from rede and resturants at less than that rate across NCR region.
Pricing is cheap compared to restaurants in NCR ofcourse can't compete with pricing of roadside carts

Best part of street food in Bengal, Bihar and Odisha is that it is usually served in leaf plates. Use and throw, but no damage to the environment. No plastic, no detergents, minimal use of water for washing the plates.

one gem I took away from this story, which I felt wasn't given much attention to was how this guy got his employees to take charge of their own responsibility in a non invasive way by introducing scoring of checklists asking them only how he could monitor their work to reward them and slowly getting them used to it. I've seen places that end up installing cameras, start screaming why employees are just standing par inhone toh kaam bhi karvalia aur ye sab bhi nai kia. Ese chiz kar pao na toh business ke dusre fundas toh aap waise hi karte karte sikh jaoege kyuki it isn't rocket science for those who've got this level of understanding.
