This was such a fun time as a Canes fan. Only two years removed from going to the Eastern Conference final in 2009, we had the Calder winner and the future seemed bright. We didn’t know what was in store. 11 years after this was filmed, the Carolina Hurricanes failed to achieve success with Ward, Skinner, and a particular Staal brother. The Canes future seemed bleak. (Jamie McBain was an All-Star.) But now, after a decade of purgatory, the Canes have showed what they are about. I attribute this to Rod Brind’Amour. The previous coaches were Bill Peters (ew), Kirk Mueller (lol), Peter Laviolette (thanks for the Cup) and Paul Maurice a couple of times. Today, the Carolina Hurricanes are already near the top of the league, playoff-bound, and considered a Cup contender. It’s obvious how more cohesive the current team is compared to the 2011 Canes team that we had such hope in. Rod Brind’Amour, Don Waddell, and Eric Tulsky have completely turned this team around.
Back when the all star game was fun
"You know you're old when you are drafted by a team that no longer exists..." HAHA!
The players who were supposed to be captains were Crosby and Ovechkin... look how that turned out lol
