I bought Diablo 4 for myself and my beautiful 17 year old granddaughter. We have played together and it has brought us more close, especially for me at 73 years old because I don't get to see her much besides the holidays because she lives in Rhode Island and I'm in Oklahoma.

The more people that work on a project, the more detached it is from reality and what people want, the more bland and lifeless it is, and the more clueless they are on what is needed for the game to get better. Man, I love Rax. His "17 Damage" face is so perfect, it applies to so many things even outside of D4 because it just perfectly captures the emotion of "....fucking really?" It's the ultimate expression for a video thumbnail. As for school presentations you're unprepared for: back in a college spanish class I was supposed to do a skit with a partner about going on vacation or something, using a bunch of specific vocab words and such. My partner wrote the script and I just fucked off for three weeks. The night before I memorized the script without having any concept of what the words actually meant. Because the teacher was busy she was having people come into her office to do the skit, so there we were: my partner spouting out his lines and me just parroting what I had memorized. We got 4 pages in on a 6 page skit and I hit a wall. I have absolutely no idea what to say next and because I wasn't actually "speaking" spanish (i.e. with comprehension) I had absolutely no idea what to say next, nor could I even try to bullshit my way out of it. But at that exact moment the teacher saw that her next class was about to start, told us that we did a great job, and gave us both an A.
Paradox Studios get a lot shit, but one thing they always did well is communication. Weekly Dev Diaries when a new patch or DLC is so good to inform and hype up the new content. On top of that it's a great way to get player base response and opinion. Blizzard seems to take the completely opposite stance.
Since D4 came out all I see is "it's bad", "disappointed", "im trying to help". Clearly Blizzard does not listen. And I wonder why people keep playing things they don't like... Vote with your wallets people.
Blizzard is so bad at talking with their community. They have no reason to try and be so tight lipped. Just be like "This is our goal for the next 5 years. We don't know if any of this stuff will work but here's a look at what we're working on." Then if something doesn't work, just be like "yeah so we tested X and found that it just didn't really work like we wanted it to so we're putting it on the back burner for now." I mean hell at least WoW showed the new BG layout. Rough as hell but its like "Cool a new BG is coming at least"
The moment he said "Tell us about the things you are working on". That is so fucking important. They could actually announce their ideas and let the Community decide if it is cool or hot garbage and if it is garbage they just dont add it into the game. They wouldnt even get hate for it, cause it wont break D4 nor would they lose much player. This would make the game ALOT better. They could also get a good bond to the Community again. I dont get why they just dont do it. Also some cool Polls for what to add into the game would just be amazing.
why only one new class? why are the seasons story lines so ridiculously short? why are we in season two and the game only just seems like its remotely "finished"? why does season two have more bugs than season 1? why is there still really only two viable builds per character? why have they only just gotten on top of resistances? why are we still repeating the same 100+ side quests every season? what are we meant to do with our characters after the season has finished, when the build no longer works because the season unique items are gone? why are we still stuck on one extra stash tab? why do dungeons still feel terrible and why do I prefer to spend time in the over world? why is there still no real incentive to build a team with other players? why does this game deserve any more of my time and money?
They did tell us what they had been working on... They mentioned their culture consultants at least a half a dozen times. At this point... that team is bigger than the dev team.
I'm surprised there are still so many people in Blizzard who have such high hopes. Blizzard in the past certainly made good games, but not now. The developers who made their prime time together are no longer in this company. Diablo 4 is a simple example. Diablo 3 isn't a good game either but it's nevertheless a better game than this awful Diablo 4. To be honest, I'm sure anyone who makes a game in this genre will make it more fun than Blizzard today 😂
Blizzcon was so much "We have so much coming in 2024" PR talk, followed by "we can not talk about it right now but..." If you have an annually convention, that people pay multiple hundreds to thousands of dollars to attend and you don't use that convention for announcements, then you are failing hard. You can't be serious, that you can't talk about upcoming content, because you need to save it for that hyping Blogpost in spring next year, only to safe the stocks from falling. That is why Nintendos approach is much better. multiple 40 min digital only video events spread accross the year. with upcoming stuff up to 12 months.
I got bored and decided to start a season 2 charector last night. I found zero difference in the way the game felt. I think people get too hyped in the patch notes and are blind to what they are actually playing.
I disagree. I played a sorc on preseason, did absolutely every piece of content the game had back then (except successfully beat uber Lilith) and got bored just when I hit Lvl 90... Played a rogue on season 1, got bored and left at Lvl 48... Currently playing season 2 with a Druid Lvl 100 and even thinking about creating another seasonal character... There's a lot of difference for me...
And I'll add that during preseason I played the worst class at that moment and got bored because progression was so slow (maxed renown, did every side quest, found every Altar, unlocked everything in the codex, etc)... On season 1 I played the most OP class in the game at that time. Combat was unnecessarily slow, felt worse than playing the worst class, the grind requirements were even higher... On season 2 I played the slowest leveling class, still flew through the game, combat and rewards felt appropriate, dopamine in general doesn't feel in short supply even at Lvl 100...
I'm still amazed after all these videos that Raxx still cant afford to put his heating on. Hopefully after the boost from Asmon he can finally bang his heating up and put down his hoodie.

If players had faith in developers, communication would be unnecessary. We would all look forward to a release date knowing something fun would be coming our way. The suspense would still be frustrating, but at least we would know the things we've invested so much time and money in were being improved by people who even more than we do. The more developers fail, the more often we are asking what is going on, simply to have a reasonable expectation of how disappointed we will be, and whether we should cut our losses and give up now.
A LOT of content creators are at the end of a long road: D4 is one of many games that is failing -- and taking the people with it who expect to make a few bucks off it along the way. The day of the shill content creator is probably already over; now the semi-detached, sometimes skeptical content creators are being pulled down too. There is a reason Asmongold doesn't seem to be playing games anymore: because so many are failing and because talking about the situation is more interesting than actually playing these games. Imagine also having to pay for these games to disappoint you, lol. No need to imagine: a lot of us actually did it for D4. Will not be fooled again.
Its kinda amazing that people still hold out hope for Blizzard. The best content Blizzard has put out in the last decade has been making their own community seethe with every thing they do. You have to let go folks. These people don't even play their own games. Can't expect much from them.

Finally someone who understands. This is pretty much exactly what i said to @vdmx2824 and his comment above. Blizzard is now corporate greed wearing the skin of the old blizzard we knew and loved. The entire team that made that magic happen and released AMAZING games every single time- is long gone so of course that magic is gone too. People need to stop being baited by nostalgia.
They said they picked fan questions that kept coming up... and one of the questions was "Will the expansion have Heroes Journey?" How was something you announced YESTERDAY a question you got alot of?? You'd think the questions they answer were older than a day old.. makes me think there was 0 planning here.
I'm not even satisfied with the game to be honest with you. It just doesn't hold a torch to D2 or D3 in my opinion. It feels rushed unfinished the dungeons are boring all the same. There really isn't much to do once you hit level cap. And why the hell can't I trade with the people that are in my group. I should be able to trade anything in the game. Especially if they were in the group while the item dropped.

Major problem with that panel is instead of talking about how theyre going to fix X amount of problems with the game, they go on about an expansion sly words for a ($90+) patch which not 1 person has even come close to getting their moneys worth out of the game as it is.
3:40 - I took an _Intro to Modern Dance_ class in high school. Our final project was to choreograph (and perform) a 5-minute modern dance for the class. The day of the final arrived, I had a song that was just weird enough to pass for an 'abstract piece' and proceeded to make a TOTAL ASS of myself in front of 20-25 classmates (most of whom _actually_ took the final project seriously) The most awkward part was having to 'keep up' this charade as my instructor asked about my 'inspiration', artistic narrative or background, etc. 🧚♀️🤹♀️🦄💁♀️🙆♀️🙇♀️🙅♀️🙋♀️🤷♀️🫠😁 Most importantly, I passed the class.
Nah, Overwatch had its shit on point. Three new hero announcements, a rank reset, massive competitive changes, a new game mode, new maps based on old favorites, and previews of the upcoming heroes including a demonstration on how one worked, teasing changes of a new battlepass is a nothingburger, but the idea that one of the most scummy games in terms of FOMO is changing so that if you missed any season's worth of things, you can get them in the battlepass *ALMOST* DRG style. I don't know if you can get everything, but they said you can go back and get the major rewards. Diablo just...has nothing in the pipeline whatsoever. Hell, you'll be able to queue with someone of a vastly higher rank to just be able to play with your friends, even if you're in Gold and they're a GM. OW which is the team based shooter where you're able to play with your friends finally makes sense. Fixing the game's biggest fuckup ever is a pretty big deal. With Diablo...There's just nothing there. Overwatch may be a PVP only toxin festival, but at least it looks like the gears are turning there, not being welded in place.

At blizz con its like they were scared to even give us any real detail about anything up coming. The Wow team did any amazing job at blizz con Im excited to go back to wow again.
Exactly. They are just celebrating the sales as how many fans were fooled with an unfinished product to keep inventors happy then they split up the main campaign into 2-3 expansions like they did with SC II.
How little they had about Overwatch? They revealed the next hero (and made him available to play for the weekend), previewed the next two after that (with gameplay footage for the Season 10 one), previewed a new game mode (with a 1st look at a new map), as well as detailing big changes to Competitive and Battle Passes. That's a lot!

It has become apparent to me that Diablo IV was built from the ground up trying to take advantage of FoMo at EVERY possible turn. Your eternal realm character means nothing because it's never going to get to take part in current content. Gotta be a battle pass Andy to get the best new shiny items. And they didn't want to show the next class at BlizzCon because they don't want the hype to start burning too early. That's not how you do FoMo properly. Same thing with next season, itemization changes, etc. They are ONLY going to announce things just before they drop to get as much FoMo as possible. In short, they announced NOTHING on purpose and with a lot of thought behind it. They don't need this dude to tell them that their presentation contained nothing, they already know...
The reason they didn't said anything, it's because they have nothing to show. To me game looks completely aimless and without a vision, it feels like they are outsourcing most of it and coming up with stuff on the go

I remember when Diablo 2 released in early 2000's, I don't recall having to hope or wish. It just simply was the best game of all time, and getting to lv 99 was no easy task. How do people even call this a Diablo game? Kids.

@@ComfyCat523 having to hope or wish back then, wasn’t really a thing. I could get on any game, enjoy it or not, and then onto the next. Now with content creation and everyone sharing their opinion, it really makes expectations higher which are harder to meet.
I do feel that they just need to listen to the people playing the game still and don’t give up hope because the same people saying they changed nothing in season 2 and saying dead game are never coming back other than if their favorite streamer is hyping it back up. They did make a lot of good changes this season and they should be praised for good changes but held accountable for the bad.
I can only think of two games (that I've played) that succeeded while being tight-lipped about what they're working on. Fallout Shelter, while a small pet project while working on the next Fallout game, was a solid game and a big success. Also, No Man's Sky, while failing in the beginning, doesn't say anything about what they're working on until an emoji tweet 2 days before the next update is released. Otherwise, a lot of games do well to build hype about what they're working on.
Monster Hunter World and Fallout 4 did well with that too with being quiet, announcing it only a few months from the launch window and both having success.
What are you talking about…? The majority of games that are successful have been tight lipped about what they are working on. Minecraft, every single CoD, the older battlefields, Rust, No Mans Sky, Most of the games that are very vocal about development and provide detailed roadmaps have failed or go through periods of extreme massive backlash. Star Citizen, Cyberpunk, Diablo 4, dying light 2, etc. People only care about playing a good game or good update. The only thing being vocal does is provide a tiny amount of dopamine to selfish impatient players, while limiting the developers on what they can do and when they have to do it by.
Imagine saying you find it sad and disappointing... but still continuing to play the game. The problem is even if you enjoy the game, are there other better games you would enjoy more? Probably. But you won't let go of this bad one, hoping it'll get better.

I still don't get how they didn't say the name of the class. All they said was that is was a new never before seen Diablo class. Like even without concept art, just providing a name would have fueled the D4 community speculation machine. All we know now is that it can't be a templar, paladin, monk, demon hunter, blood knight, witch doctor, rogue, warrior, mage, or assassin. I think that's all the unrepresented previous classes. It really does feel like they phoned it in like Asmon was saying cause it would have been an easy win to say something like the next class will be Horadrim or something. Makes me wonder if they even know what the next class is going to be or if they just have that criteria and they're still like flinging darts at a board with a bunch of shitty class names they came up with.
They should create more variety of monsters anyway. Maybe some of ememirs should show up on higher tiers or they could have different attacking routines. Like the main world or endgame bosses could be learned so easily, but what if they could add new way of attacks in every season and also these options would mix up on higher tiers as well. The same could go for hardcore mode as well where it would be a bit more realistic if unexpected moves could be introduced. I believe players would love this type of optional game mode for more xp rewards.
If Asmongold would pay me a dollar every time I see a video about him or his friends crying about blizzard games and still playing them, he would have negative balance by now (I also understand that drama and arguing is the only way to farm comments, clicks, views and stuff like this including my comment, but it's sad to see them causing and going with it just to make a dime... truly sad....)
OG overwatch player here, 1500+ hrs. I was quite happy with the things we heard about, updates to competitive UI & updates, new heros, new gamemodes and even an in-game first look at a baller new tank. There was a bit of monetisation stuff too, but I'm moreso a cosmetic enjoyer than demander. Unpopularly I actually don't mind having characters paywalled, as for me it's a sort of subscription to the most resource demanding aspect of the service. Maybe us Overwatch players have just only known L's, so this feels like a W. Alternatively, I likely have just never witnessed a big G unit Blizzard moment, so my expectations weren't so high.
the campfire talk cutting jokes on a major stage with people waiting to hear reveals and actual gameplay, and not concept art and just talking rambling about the same thing just in circles it was very very expected should i say for Blizzard today.

Haven't bought a bliz product since SC2, been a clown show the past decade+ and people still buy and complain. Maybe if people stopped the preorders and stopped buying trash Blizzard would have to rethink their products.

For me the d4 future is very bright. I love the blizzcon for d4, WoW and the new WoW season thing... Adding stuff in d4, fixing stuff or adding some end game content every month or 2. Feel like it launched bad like ESO did and now the game is way better than launch and one of my favorite MMO.

D3 - garbage d4 garbage (with the promise of fixing the steaming pile of crap to keep you hoping) retail wow expansion let down after let down, the overwatch FLOP. Buddy- this company is a shadow of its former self, actually its corporate greed wearing the skin of old blizzard and keeping fools paying through nostalgia alone. Wake up cuz as much as i hate to admit it, that old company we loved that made THE BEST GAMES every single time - is LONG gone. Everyone who was part of that magical team has abandoned ship too.
It doesn't take much to improve D4 because of how bad it is. The changes being made are only things that should have been in the game in the first place. Blizzard just can't make good games anymore. Their best games at the moment are games that came out almost 20yrs ago in classic.

Coming from someone who cope defended this game because I spent hella money to going to starting elden ring for the first time I can safely say this game is boring. The loot makes fighting for it basically not worth it because there’s a good chance you’re going to get something with a completely useless aspect and the attempts at storylines are pitiful. Overall just a really bland game due to nothing really standing out
Lost ark = free to play + new class every 6 months, meanwhile i paid for diablo 4, they have battle pass, microtransactions, early access and on top of this all we have to wait near 2 years for a new class that we probably have to pay for. diablo 4 has potential but they doing it wrong, it feels so greedy, they not going to beat lost ark or path of exile 2 this way.
The reason WoW can lay out 3 expansions is really simple. They stole FFXIV's story. So they know how it goes for at least 3 expansions. Meanwhile, if you ripped off the PoE story then it would be way too similar as it would magically become New Zealand cultural out of left field.

I bought Diablo 4 for myself and my beautiful 17 year old granddaughter. We have played together and it has brought us more close, especially for me at 73 years old because I don't get to see her much besides the holidays because she lives in Rhode Island and I'm in Oklahoma.

Modern days rule of thumb on gaming. The more people that work on a project, the more detached it is from reality and what people want, the more bland and lifeless it is, and the more clueless they are on what is needed for the game to get better. Focusing on tree roots and not on the forest that is burning. Literally.
The fact that they KNOW what the new class is, but wouldn't even announce it with an art image of it, boggles the mind.
They are doing less than bare minimum now. Blizz player base will keep sending them all the battle pass and skin money though, so business as usual.

As for school presentations you're unprepared for: back in a college spanish class I was supposed to do a skit with a partner about going on vacation or something, using a bunch of specific vocab words and such. My partner wrote the script and I just fucked off for three weeks. The night before I memorized the script without having any concept of what the words actually meant. Because the teacher was busy she was having people come into her office to do the skit, so there we were: my partner spouting out his lines and me just parroting what I had memorized. We got 4 pages in on a 6 page skit and I hit a wall. I have absolutely no idea what to say next and because I wasn't actually "speaking" spanish (i.e. with comprehension) I had absolutely no idea what to say next, nor could I even try to bullshit my way out of it. But at that exact moment the teacher saw that her next class was about to start, told us that we did a great job, and gave us both an A.
Paradox Studios get a lot shit, but one thing they always did well is communication. Weekly Dev Diaries when a new patch or DLC is so good to inform and hype up the new content. On top of that it's a great way to get player base response and opinion. Blizzard seems to take the completely opposite stance.
Asmon's presentation on 'wars' had more content in it than the D4 campfire.
Ive had more fun in season 2 then season 1 however the there are still issues prevalent from launch that are as simple as balancing.
Since D4 came out all I see is "it's bad", "disappointed", "im trying to help". Clearly Blizzard does not listen. And I wonder why people keep playing things they don't like... Vote with your wallets people.
Blizzard is so bad at talking with their community. They have no reason to try and be so tight lipped. Just be like "This is our goal for the next 5 years. We don't know if any of this stuff will work but here's a look at what we're working on." Then if something doesn't work, just be like "yeah so we tested X and found that it just didn't really work like we wanted it to so we're putting it on the back burner for now." I mean hell at least WoW showed the new BG layout. Rough as hell but its like "Cool a new BG is coming at least"
The moment he said "Tell us about the things you are working on". That is so fucking important. They could actually announce their ideas and let the Community decide if it is cool or hot garbage and if it is garbage they just dont add it into the game. They wouldnt even get hate for it, cause it wont break D4 nor would they lose much player. This would make the game ALOT better. They could also get a good bond to the Community again. I dont get why they just dont do it. Also some cool Polls for what to add into the game would just be amazing.

They did tell us what they had been working on... They mentioned their culture consultants at least a half a dozen times. At this point... that team is bigger than the dev team.
I'm surprised there are still so many people in Blizzard who have such high hopes. Blizzard in the past certainly made good games, but not now. The developers who made their prime time together are no longer in this company.
Diablo 4 is a simple example. Diablo 3 isn't a good game either but it's nevertheless a better game than this awful Diablo 4. To be honest, I'm sure anyone who makes a game in this genre will make it more fun than Blizzard today 😂

If you have an annually convention, that people pay multiple hundreds to thousands of dollars to attend and you don't use that convention for announcements, then you are failing hard. You can't be serious, that you can't talk about upcoming content, because you need to save it for that hyping Blogpost in spring next year, only to safe the stocks from falling.
That is why Nintendos approach is much better. multiple 40 min digital only video events spread accross the year. with upcoming stuff up to 12 months.
I got bored and decided to start a season 2 charector last night. I found zero difference in the way the game felt. I think people get too hyped in the patch notes and are blind to what they are actually playing.

I disagree. I played a sorc on preseason, did absolutely every piece of content the game had back then (except successfully beat uber Lilith) and got bored just when I hit Lvl 90... Played a rogue on season 1, got bored and left at Lvl 48... Currently playing season 2 with a Druid Lvl 100 and even thinking about creating another seasonal character... There's a lot of difference for me...
And I'll add that during preseason I played the worst class at that moment and got bored because progression was so slow (maxed renown, did every side quest, found every Altar, unlocked everything in the codex, etc)... On season 1 I played the most OP class in the game at that time. Combat was unnecessarily slow, felt worse than playing the worst class, the grind requirements were even higher... On season 2 I played the slowest leveling class, still flew through the game, combat and rewards felt appropriate, dopamine in general doesn't feel in short supply even at Lvl 100...

If players had faith in developers, communication would be unnecessary. We would all look forward to a release date knowing something fun would be coming our way. The suspense would still be frustrating, but at least we would know the things we've invested so much time and money in were being improved by people who even more than we do.
The more developers fail, the more often we are asking what is going on, simply to have a reasonable expectation of how disappointed we will be, and whether we should cut our losses and give up now.

I'm not even satisfied with the game to be honest with you. It just doesn't hold a torch to D2 or D3 in my opinion. It feels rushed unfinished the dungeons are boring all the same. There really isn't much to do once you hit level cap. And why the hell can't I trade with the people that are in my group. I should be able to trade anything in the game. Especially if they were in the group while the item dropped.

Nah, Overwatch had its shit on point. Three new hero announcements, a rank reset, massive competitive changes, a new game mode, new maps based on old favorites, and previews of the upcoming heroes including a demonstration on how one worked, teasing changes of a new battlepass is a nothingburger, but the idea that one of the most scummy games in terms of FOMO is changing so that if you missed any season's worth of things, you can get them in the battlepass *ALMOST* DRG style. I don't know if you can get everything, but they said you can go back and get the major rewards. Diablo just...has nothing in the pipeline whatsoever. Hell, you'll be able to queue with someone of a vastly higher rank to just be able to play with your friends, even if you're in Gold and they're a GM. OW which is the team based shooter where you're able to play with your friends finally makes sense. Fixing the game's biggest fuckup ever is a pretty big deal.
With Diablo...There's just nothing there. Overwatch may be a PVP only toxin festival, but at least it looks like the gears are turning there, not being welded in place.

It has become apparent to me that Diablo IV was built from the ground up trying to take advantage of FoMo at EVERY possible turn. Your eternal realm character means nothing because it's never going to get to take part in current content. Gotta be a battle pass Andy to get the best new shiny items. And they didn't want to show the next class at BlizzCon because they don't want the hype to start burning too early. That's not how you do FoMo properly. Same thing with next season, itemization changes, etc. They are ONLY going to announce things just before they drop to get as much FoMo as possible.
In short, they announced NOTHING on purpose and with a lot of thought behind it. They don't need this dude to tell them that their presentation contained nothing, they already know...

@@ComfyCat523 having to hope or wish back then, wasn’t really a thing. I could get on any game, enjoy it or not, and then onto the next. Now with content creation and everyone sharing their opinion, it really makes expectations higher which are harder to meet.
I do feel that they just need to listen to the people playing the game still and don’t give up hope because the same people saying they changed nothing in season 2 and saying dead game are never coming back other than if their favorite streamer is hyping it back up. They did make a lot of good changes this season and they should be praised for good changes but held accountable for the bad.
I can only think of two games (that I've played) that succeeded while being tight-lipped about what they're working on. Fallout Shelter, while a small pet project while working on the next Fallout game, was a solid game and a big success. Also, No Man's Sky, while failing in the beginning, doesn't say anything about what they're working on until an emoji tweet 2 days before the next update is released. Otherwise, a lot of games do well to build hype about what they're working on.
Monster Hunter World and Fallout 4 did well with that too with being quiet, announcing it only a few months from the launch window and both having success.

Most of the games that are very vocal about development and provide detailed roadmaps have failed or go through periods of extreme massive backlash. Star Citizen, Cyberpunk, Diablo 4, dying light 2, etc.
People only care about playing a good game or good update. The only thing being vocal does is provide a tiny amount of dopamine to selfish impatient players, while limiting the developers on what they can do and when they have to do it by.
Imagine saying you find it sad and disappointing... but still continuing to play the game. The problem is even if you enjoy the game, are there other better games you would enjoy more?

I still don't get how they didn't say the name of the class. All they said was that is was a new never before seen Diablo class. Like even without concept art, just providing a name would have fueled the D4 community speculation machine. All we know now is that it can't be a templar, paladin, monk, demon hunter, blood knight, witch doctor, rogue, warrior, mage, or assassin. I think that's all the unrepresented previous classes. It really does feel like they phoned it in like Asmon was saying cause it would have been an easy win to say something like the next class will be Horadrim or something. Makes me wonder if they even know what the next class is going to be or if they just have that criteria and they're still like flinging darts at a board with a bunch of shitty class names they came up with.
I think some of the content like Duriel for season 2 was meant to be announced at Blizzcon and released later on.
They should create more variety of monsters anyway. Maybe some of ememirs should show up on higher tiers or they could have different attacking routines. Like the main world or endgame bosses could be learned so easily, but what if they could add new way of attacks in every season and also these options would mix up on higher tiers as well. The same could go for hardcore mode as well where it would be a bit more realistic if unexpected moves could be introduced. I believe players would love this type of optional game mode for more xp rewards.
If Asmongold would pay me a dollar every time I see a video about him or his friends crying about blizzard games and still playing them, he would have negative balance by now
(I also understand that drama and arguing is the only way to farm comments, clicks, views and stuff like this including my comment, but it's sad to see them causing and going with it just to make a dime... truly sad....)
OG overwatch player here, 1500+ hrs. I was quite happy with the things we heard about, updates to competitive UI & updates, new heros, new gamemodes and even an in-game first look at a baller new tank.
There was a bit of monetisation stuff too, but I'm moreso a cosmetic enjoyer than demander. Unpopularly I actually don't mind having characters paywalled, as for me it's a sort of subscription to the most resource demanding aspect of the service.
Maybe us Overwatch players have just only known L's, so this feels like a W. Alternatively, I likely have just never witnessed a big G unit Blizzard moment, so my expectations weren't so high.
the campfire talk cutting jokes on a major stage with people waiting to hear reveals and actual gameplay, and not concept art and just talking rambling about the same thing just in circles it was very very expected should i say for Blizzard today.
the most sad part of all this is that I do not even care anymore :D and I feel like I am not alone. I like to play D2R form time to time but D4 is dead to me
Haven't bought a bliz product since SC2, been a clown show the past decade+ and people still buy and complain. Maybe if people stopped the preorders and stopped buying trash Blizzard would have to rethink their products.
for they REALY understand we have to be BRUTE, don't play, play Diablo II and III, play Last Epoch, POE, they don't understand being polite.....in this season i play until level 60 and then.... boring, return to Diablo II and III has so good that i forget D_IV (D IV not DIABLO)...
D4 is the most empty feeling game Ive ever played, there are soooooo much missed potential in it. Its just like an arcade racing game for simulation enjoyers.
For me the d4 future is very bright.
I love the blizzcon for d4, WoW and the new WoW season thing... Adding stuff in d4, fixing stuff or adding some end game content every month or 2. Feel like it launched bad like ESO did and now the game is way better than launch and one of my favorite MMO.

Wow… if youre being serious… COPIUM TO THE MAX sir… stop huffing and take a breath of fresh air. Blizzard has been releasing absolute garbage since a few years after they sold. The time and care and thoughtfulness they used to put into their games is SOOO apparent (D2, warcraft 3, starcraft, wow and early expansions) BUT those days are long gone and you can just tell by playing the new trash- its very stark. D3 - garbage d4 garbage (with the promise of fixing the steaming pile of crap to keep you hoping) retail wow expansion let down after let down, the overwatch FLOP. Buddy- this company is a shadow of its former self, actually its corporate greed wearing the skin of old blizzard and keeping fools paying through nostalgia alone. Wake up cuz as much as i hate to admit it, that old company we loved that made THE BEST GAMES every single time - is LONG gone. Everyone who was part of that magical team has abandoned ship too.

It doesn't take much to improve D4 because of how bad it is.
The changes being made are only things that should have been in the game in the first place.
Blizzard just can't make good games anymore. Their best games at the moment are games that came out almost 20yrs ago in classic.
@@snb9705 everybody has their favorite games. For me d4 and Elden Ring are my favorites to play right know. Best game of the year is by far Alan Wake 2. Hate BG3 should not have bought it, only played 5 hours of it to try to give it a chance, not a fan of starfield and spider man either

People actually still expect Blizzard to actually wake up from their stupor since like what.... 2010? That blizzard is gone, its dead, get over it already. Its a whole different company and what you see is what it is.
People are really struggling with the fact Microsoft owns it now. They speak of blizzard like it’s still under activisions umbrella
watching blizzard fan's despair, brings joy to my life.
Coming from someone who cope defended this game because I spent hella money to going to starting elden ring for the first time I can safely say this game is boring. The loot makes fighting for it basically not worth it because there’s a good chance you’re going to get something with a completely useless aspect and the attempts at storylines are pitiful. Overall just a really bland game due to nothing really standing out

Lost ark = free to play + new class every 6 months, meanwhile i paid for diablo 4, they have battle pass, microtransactions, early access and on top of this all we have to wait near 2 years for a new class that we probably have to pay for. diablo 4 has potential but they doing it wrong, it feels so greedy, they not going to beat lost ark or path of exile 2 this way.
The reason WoW can lay out 3 expansions is really simple. They stole FFXIV's story. So they know how it goes for at least 3 expansions. Meanwhile, if you ripped off the PoE story then it would be way too similar as it would magically become New Zealand cultural out of left field.
