The leaf petiole is cylindrical and can be up to 30-40 cm long. The flowers are wide, heart-shaped, with ruby red, pink, and orange colors. The flowers are usually yellow and attached to the inflorescences. Each inflorescence has many small flowers attached. The flowers of the Anthurium plant are bisexual, so the flowers also appear continuously.
How to plant
People often grow anthurium plants mainly by separating bushes. However, you should note that bushes from 3-5 plants should be separated at the beginning. Splitting too early can easily weaken the mother plant.
How to care for aquatic anthurium plants
Anthurium is a plant grown in shade or scattered light, growing well in favorable, cool climate conditions. Anthurium plants are a very good choice for interior decoration and for desks and offices... However, in order for the plant to grow smoothly and not fade away, we need to pay attention to some of the following characteristics:
Temperature: This plant prefers cool climates and has poor tolerance to heat and cold. This can cause the plant to rot due to too high or low temperatures. The suitable temperature for plants is from 16-25oC. Anthurium can live well in an air-conditioned environment.
Humidity: Anthurium likes humidity, most suitable is about 70-80%.
Light: this is a plant that likes partial light. Direct sunlight can cause the plant's leaves to burn. The plant is suitable for growing indoors, near windows or glass doors where there is indirect or softer light, reducing the intensity to make the leaves and flowers more intense. If there is poor light indoors, take the plant outdoors 1-2 times a week to photosynthesize, once each morning under light light.
Soil: Anthurium plants prefer loose, well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil.
If growing in a hydroponic vase, use hydroponic solution. Note that you must change the water for the vase every 10-15 days to clean the vase, change water and nutrients for the plant, and prune the branches, leaves, and roots of the plant. You should mix an aquatic solution with a ratio of 1 nutrient: 10 water. If you fertilize too much, the leaves will burn or the plant will become drooping. The water is clean, lime-free, chlorine-free, salt-free, and alum-free. You should use tap water to grow aquatic plants: pay attention to collect the water overnight or leave it in the sun to let the chlorine evaporate.
