    Hello mate, just wanted to message you to say thanks for your advice a few weeks ago regarding my GSXR 750 and the NOX level with ULEZ. I emailed my logbook and it's now compliant, much appreciated 😎👍

      That's great news, I'm glad some people are listening. I'm still getting people telling me that the bikes should be lean to pass for example.
      If your on any forums it may be worth sharing your experience for others in the same boat especially as the zone is expanding.

    Vehicles used to be simple. Now, if your fan stays on you may need to check the fuel flap is functioning or you haven't lost a centre cap on the rear left hand wheel! 🤔( I'm joking of course)
    It used to be a thermostatic swith in rad controlling fan , thermal transmitter near the thermostat controlling the gauge on the dash . Now they're all linked up to the computer and even an air intake temp sensor can throw the fan into a fit!
    And on very modern cars you need a factory bi directional scan tool to replace rear brake pads. ( electronic actuators for hand break operation and piston retraction) . It's appears to be tech for tech sake. Some of it is great from the driving perspective but the days of the average driver maintaining and heaven forbid fixing their own vehicle are long gone.
    I find it quite embarrassing as an ex mechanic I have to ask a garage for help for some jobs. I replaced the discs pads and sensors on my daughters car recently. Simple. But had to get the dash service warnings reset at a garage because you can't reset them your self . ( mini) .
    But you can reset all the service lights on my hyundai and isuzu.
    I guess that's progress.
    I'm so old/ cynical😃
    Peace love and hugs all round ✌️❤️🤗

      I agree with you all round there Springy. I'm actually going to have to order a diagnosis system to see if I get a code.
      It absolutely used to be easy, the thermostat heated up then let coolant flow, the temp sensor switched the fan on. So simple.
      I've actually removed the fan fuse for now just to keep the car on the road

    Should be engine temperature sensor causing the issue

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Рік тому +1

      Potentially, but could be a number of things on this engine after looking it up. I'll take it one step at a time for now.

    Got an OBD2 / code reader charlie may lead you to the cause of problem

  • @robertadams4415
    @robertadams4415 Рік тому +1

    Charlie it's probably the fan switch

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Рік тому +1

      Possibly but after researching it I'm afraid it could be a whole number of things. The temp gauge in the car reads normal and I think that's attached to the switch. So am unsure at this stage what's going on

    Great video. For reference on the dashboard unit. Yellow is ignition live and green is earth. So you can get rid of some of those and join them into one 👍 the pipe on the car is an odd one 😆 you should make that a separate short and label it as a common problem fix 😆
    I think the wide bars look mint

      Yeh the wide bars worked in the end although we may cut a touch in a couple weeks.

    Might be a stupid question Charlie but was the air con turned on or was it off. That usually runs the fan full on a soon as the engine starts.

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Рік тому +2

      It was off Bob, I checked that aswell.
      I even tried turning it on and of. Annoying the Aircon is working well and the temp gauge is right aswell. But the fan kicks on and stays on for like 10 mins after the car is locked.

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Рік тому +2

      That could be a simple bulb change Stephen. Normally the bulb has 2 filments in it, one for the light and the second for the brake light

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Рік тому +2

      No mate, you can press it as hard as you want and it won't matter. Bulbs just blow every now and again. You will need to take the red light housing off and put in a new bulb mate. You will find the same one at Halfords.

      Well technically its a perfect street fighter although I agree it looks ugly.
      Originally street fighters were built by stripping bikes down to lose weight and running at just about road legal. So it's definitely a street fighter.

      Yes good point. I do agree it's not a good looking bike. I don't like the original either.
      It would look better with a different tank on without the fairing support on.
