  • In this video we take you out to one of the top things to see on the Washington coast. The tree of life is located outside of Kalaloch campground between Ocean Shores and Forks, Washington. There is a huge parking lot that has a trail that is about 1/4 mile long and takes you down roughly 10-15 stairs. Once you are on the beach just a couple hundred feet to the right you will find this Sitka spruce holding on for life to either side of the bluff with a completely undermined root cave beneath.
This is a great stop off to see the wonders on nature defying physics and showing how even when things aren’t going well, there is always a way to adapt and survive. As the undermining continues to evolve it is likely that the tree will finally give and perish onto the beach. So it is important that if you are interested in seeing this wonder that you do it before it will no longer be there. Definitely one of the top things to see on the Washington coast.

My sister just saw this recently & recommend it. Nice review of the trail access as well as the story of the tree.
