One thing is for sure. The world is closer to making a Palestinian state. In fact if the US had not Vetoed it, it would have happened this week. Which is strange because the US govt says they want a 2 state solution, but then squash any attempts to make it happen.

There was already a 4 state solution. Hence the creation of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Israel. The arabs were given 90 percent of the land, then still went to war to "Push all the Jews into the sea", when they failed, they lost some territory. That's the issue. They already got 90% of "Palestine" if you look at a pre- WW2 map. That's just not enough for them.
