One thing not mentioned in the Indianapolis 500 portion of this film is the crash on the parade lap between Elmer George (Tony's father) and Eddie Russo on the backstretch (though at 14:46, you can clearly see tow trucks on the scene of that crash, clearing the track for a slightly-delayed start). In the version of this race SpeedVision did for their program commemorating the Indianapolis 500 from 1957-'71 (and that is on my channel), Brock Yates also refers to a practice crash that killed driver Keith Andrews earlier in that month.
