I'm not sure which manufactures endmills and other tooling you are using, but most have numbers you can call or websites that have recommended feeds and speeds for different grades and materials, free of charge. I know you say you want to figure it out on your own, but that kind of info will get you in the ballpark a bit faster. I am really looking forward to see what you come up with.
What cnc milling machine you are using ? I'm looking for an very accurate +/- 0.01mm cnc machine to cut some titanium, at least rack and pinion rails and laser straight rails won't bend under 190 lb forces. Need to make an object 2ft x 5ft x 1ft and there is no such object sell it online need to cnc machine it by myself.
Wow, almost 20K subscribers! Couldn't keep but grinning while you started milling that Ti! Really cool milling machine! Looks like sky's the limit now! :)
Magnus, if you use your water jet cutter to cut a blank from a chunk of titanium, how do you register the size and position of it on your C&C machine to do further machining?
You use a tool called an 'edge finder,' it mounts like any normal bit, but it doesn't cut anything. It gives a visual indication when it touches an edge, and you just save that position in the computer. The computer then uses that information to set boundaries.
Hi, i have 3kg of pure Titanium dust in vacuum sealed bags and I was wondering what the best way of turning it into rings, is it possible as i can't find anything on the internet about making rings from pure dust, just bars, please help, I'd really appreciate it!!
Been quite a while since I last commented! Loving the mill work, definitely looks like a good machine, and you are learning really quickly, so I am sure you will be making spinners and other things on there really soon! With regards to the vise, I don't know if the dogs on the bottom are removable or not, but if they are I would check with the manufacturer to see if they supply them in smaller sizes before returning the whole thing. If they cannot be removed, then I would also check to see if they supply the same vise with different sized dogs, and if all that fails, only then would i return it for a smaller one. Brad
Why are you conventionally milling instead of climb milling? Don't you know that you can get t nuts to fit your t slots in your table. Vise size has nothing to do with it.
Could be his machines better conventionally. Our bed mill gets nasty looking with conventional cuts. Much better finish conventionally. The manufacturer is still trying to figure out why we suspect an issue but otherwise machines fine.
Hello Magnus I just find out ur youtube channel today wen i look though some cool new designs of fidget spinner and 100% fall in love with ur work. Nothing special just letting u know dat cant wait for the date to open the page from u !!! Thank for ur team XD
I know you haven't made a spinner in a while but I have a spinner idea make the two sides the same weight but different story design So like have one a triangle and the other like a rectangle
they are called T-slots and you use T-slot nut that can be ordered or made to fit any size T-slot!!

I have some unknown make endmills, how to make a start? ∅0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0MM
Thanks in advance 🙋

take your time man just watching you learn the mill is cool to me all never seen this type of work
You have a mill now, make your own tnuts
Hopefully we get to see a prototype from the milling machine soon. Cant wait

What type of end mill do you use on Ti. Ceramic, carbide or HSS?
What does the mill sound like when it's cutting aluminum and titanium?

Christopher Vaerten thanks for the explanation!
what type of end mill were you using? Carbon coated or pure carbide?
Love your videos, keep an comming! greetings from germany
one day you should do copulation of all the things that you have done on the milling machine because think it looks awesome
Copulation = sexual intercourse. Compilation = a collection or assortment. Get thee a dictionary...

The keys in the vice are interchangeable and should be ordered to your t-nut rail size. Size of the vice is not the issue. Best, Job
There any is possible to make insert in titanium carbide with HSS
Runners = T-slots
What do you think you are going to upload after you make spinners
there is possible to make insert in titanium carbide
Titanium channel construction balisong handles can bring you a lot of money

make the core you need to make a ti ring a bearing can be mounted in a lathe to turn some ti buttons I suppose the mill could be used
Punctuation would make it much, much easier to read what you just vomited into that post...
you're vlogs are super interristing 👍
HAHA! 4:32 I thought you slowed the video down because the endmill broke again! I kept expecting it to break.
You need more than mist for titanium flood it from all angles and through tool if you have it 👍🏻
You don't have high volume flood or tsc on a machine like that...
nW squidasaur he might have just put minimal amount on so he can video it.
I know you haven't made a spinner in a while but I have a spinner idea make the two sides the same weight but different story design

Dont be so scared of the titanium. Really its just an alloy. Its not much harder to mill than some aluminums like 7075.
7075-T6, makes for excellent r/c truck chassis parts- Magnus can start making custom r/c parts now I guess... :D
coool
Even the chips are worth keeping.....
T slots
Chamfer
So don’t name your video how to machine etc... if you are a beginner and are learning yourself. Wasted my time🤦🏼♂️
The title is a question...not their fault you cant read correctly 🤣
