In the era of HIRES music R2R analogic tape is totally obsolete , as it is with cassette decks , vynil , not so much with CD's , what's the point with this ? , nostalgia ?
Old records mastering was made when people knew about a sound. Then a plastic music came. But you have to be a pretty rich person to purchase good r2r players and recorded tapes. It’s about €4-6k for a player and €300-… for a reel. Then you’ll hear a music how it was supposed to sound
Whenever I can afford to get a Technics RS-1800 i would get it in a heart beat 👍🏻👍🏻
Zakochałem się w tym sprzęcie 🥰 piękny i taki dostojny zarazem 💯👍👏
Technics 1800 is a top notch Open Reel from the 80s! AWESOME!!!

wow, just wonderful
Is there a single cable between the transport and electronics or multiple cables? Looks a lot like my RS1520 with rearranged controls and split cases.
One of the best! I only got the 1700....
素晴らしいですね。
Ein Traum !***
Why the decision to run at 220 volts? Have you run it at other voltages? Thanks
¿Qué número de serie es el amplificador? ¿El amplificador es el que acompaña a la RS-1800?

Is this in two separate pieces ?

I am guessing you have no experience with r2r players.
