When I first started working as a nurse, say the truth, I spend a lot on traveling. Work can be hectic and stressful so I needed to get out. I remember traveling once every month. It can be a 4 nights trip to Japan or 2 nights to Bangkok or 10 days trip to Europe etc.
I ended up not saving any money.
When Covid hits, I couldn’t travel and end up having a mental stress and fall sick.
What’s worst is that, it was kind of impossible for me to quit my job as I didn’t have much savings. I didn’t have much choices and I still needed to get a job almost immediately after I quit as I needed money to give to my parents and to pay off my yearly insurance.
From then on, I started to make changes in my life. And started to see what I can do to make me happy (not by material consumption)
This is why also we make a move to New Zealand to try out the life there and having the hope that I will love my job! And thankfully this move has been great!
I am hoping to enlighten everyone over material consumption and living frugally.
We actually do not need much to live.
And we simply can adopt the simple lifestyle to be happy.
I also want to reach financial independence so that I can do what I want and what I like.
My dream is to own a home and do airbbb.
Cooking for my guest and managing a beautiful cottage home ❤️

Hi Apple and K (and Nate too ❤). It's always good to see you and to know you're doing well.
Haha, you did a great job on K's hair, I say 10/10! 😊 He's so fun. I know you say he's annoying sometimes lol, but I just think he's so sweet, especially watching him serve up your food on your plate before his own, plus, he cooks and washes dishes too. My husband doesn't like to wash dishes 😕 😂 He will cook, but I prefer my own cooking.
I hope you always take time to enjoy the beauty around you. You mentioned how hectic your work day was with so many cases and I can relate. Just remember how beautiful you are and how appreciated you are by every patient you help. Nursing is a stressful job, but also very rewarding, so always be kind and reward yourself by doing something relaxing, even if it's a good cry and a long bath. As nurses we need that sometimes.

It is normal to lost inspiration once in a while! I did too! During this period, my bf will suggest what he wants to eat and I will make it for him as I am so stuck.
It’s good that that you get inspiration from UA-cam! I also watch how people meal prep in a week to motivate me as well!
