The first thing that came out in your first visit was ''ancient spirit'', then ''shapeshifter'' this time. The European settlers loved wiping out the Natives, so I'm guessing it may be a land haunting, perhaps by a SW. Of course, the settlers would call these ''demons'', but they're actually responsible for them through the sheer brutality shown them when they got there.
Also, Robert/Bob/Bobby might be the gentleman that owned the RV. The owner said he bought it from a woman who claims it was her grandfathers'. Of course he'd be unsettled. There is definitely more than one spirit, not just a single entity. You're in America; most of the land is blood-soaked, so consider where you are. Could you have been hearing a Native American language through your heaphones? Do some research.
