A good sketch but flawed: they could have at least tried to get the medals right. They tried with the VC but even got that wrong, wrong shade of purple, wonder if the costume department tried to replicate it. The others are completely off. And the people watching at the time who were in the war would have known!
Very odd, how that last one got through but the previous didn't. Ah well, for the record, this was the latest comment, after each time I wrote the same comment, it was immediately blocked (assumed you were offended and had reported me? Which obviously would be extremely petty, given I was thick skinned enough not to report you): "Aha! You must be a sufferer of Small Man Syndrome. A man so insecure, he can’t stand a strong woman. Fortunately, there are plenty of chaps who like women with military backgrounds 😊 Enjoy your sad, lonely life, incel!"
@@youcanlearnalotfromlydia Yeah it's happened to me a few times where a UA-cam comment wouldn't post. Anyway, I was being rude in my original comment, I was having a bad day. So I apologise. I'm all for a strong woman. My mum is hard as nails and she's my favourite human. Forgive a loose, irritated tongue ☺️ And incidentally I'm 6 foot 2 🤣
I so loved them both!!💕 wish I could could go back to those days!! 🏴🏴🏴🏴💕🇬🇧 RIP BOYS!!
Back to 1971
Fabulous......Those really were the days of comedy........
I love this bit, and Earnie does a fantastic job as Captain Hammond - VC, DSO, MM, DFC & BAR.
ThThanks very much for posting this it’s fabulous to see these late great comedians
British comedy at its best watch it quick before they take this off as well 😂

A prisoner in Stalag 54 with a kilt...brilliant!
Hilarious! This is proper comedy! It's funny
And to think the BBC these days would rather these comedy gems didn't exist.
The BBC have become complacent and take their audience for granted. Its time to scap the licence fee and make the BBC earn its living.
Hahahahahahahahah-ba-donk.
I laughed my head off!
Magnificent
"Luton for the Cup!"

For fuck's sake! The stove looks like it might be made of plywood too.
The more times you try to delete my reply, the more you confirm just how sad and lonely you are :)
@@youcanlearnalotfromlydia ... I wasn't deleting your reply, don't even know how to do that 🤣 You must have internet problems.
