I have a 32-key Stream Deck. I love it!!! I use my stream deck to improve my efficiency on ZOOM calls. I like the hotkey option, although it hasn't worked for me previously. I will try it again and reference that portion of your video to guide me. In a short period of time, the Stream Deck has already improved my efficiency on Zoom calls. I just need to work out the nuances of the programs that I access while presenting on Zoom so that everything is seamless. Thanks for your tips and techniques. They are very helpful.
Such a relaxed style that is so easy to watch... no pointless background music either - yippee! I've just bought an XL and come on YT to find out what I have to look forward to. I'm not sure I will find a more eager advocate! On a side note, why is it that some people smile all the time? By that I mean their personality is so happy and contagious, that it shines through all the time. That must be why you are so watchable. Finally, I love that you leave little mistakes in. EVERYONE will make some during a 30 min presentation but it has become so common to just cut them out and jump cut their way through the whole video. Just so much more natural and 'flowing' to see it uncut. I have subscribed and will look forward to taking in more of your addictive style. :)

I love to use this to reduce Stream Deck to reduce typing. I have MS which often effects my dexterity. This device reduces my need to type which reduces the painful impact on my hands and arms. Not only do I look more professional on my front facing products, but I am more comfortable at the end of the day, which makes this device priceless!
Hello from Phoenix Arizona. I just discovered the stream deck a couple Of weeks ago. I do about 5 to 8 zoom calls a weeks, each of them are an hour to an hour and a half. Although I don’t do streaming or live broadcast I work from home I work on my computer all day and I think this device would help me greatly reduce my time spent clicking buttons and doing drop downs. I think I’m gonna go ahead and get The middle version. Thanks for your help and the icons.

I watch a lot of online "How Tos" and demos and such, but this is one of the best, concise, and informative I have seen yet . Well done all round. I have the Stream Deck XL and hope to really use it for all sorts of purposes. The only update that is a little confusing/different is that the "More Actions" option has moved to the top and is now called "Stream Deck Store". PS - downloaded your icons for Zoom - TY. 👍🖖👏
I bought a stream deck to control the screen reader on for two years since I lost my site. I have just about enough site to tell whether one of the buttons has a light background or dark background, but that’s enough for me to make usable patterns on the stream deck with 32 keys. No, I will say setting up the stream deck as a severely visually. Impaired person is frustrating but doable.

Love your channel, your presentation skills are amazing. Curious if you can also control environmental conditions like lighting sources and if you are using a green screen, switching quickly to different backgrounds etc?
Thanks for the kind words 😊 There are definitely options to control lighting (e.g. Elgato lights, Philips Hue, etc). The best thing to do is check Elgato's Marketplace for plugins: marketplace.elgato.com/ As for using a green screen, you would use need software like OBS, Ecamm, Vmix, etc, that allow you to set up scenes each with the background you want. Then you use the Stream Deck to switch scenes.
Thank you for posting this tutorial. I had been on the fence about purchasing a stream deck over the past year, surfing this time time its had price fluctuations and supply problems. Your video convinced me and I purchased from elgato as they now have white units, which match my setup and face plates to further customize it. I’m currently rewatching your other videos about setup, utilizing the unit in my zoom trainings and see if the other mentioned software is needed. Thanks again!

I have 32-key, I use it for everything literally, including signatures, symbols, blocks of sentences, websites, etc. I do everything. I am a researcher. I also track planes and I use hot keys for specific things. Yes, love exiting Zoom with it.

Great tool, but can I set up / program the buttons to paste in prepared text? I host online meetings with Teams and want to be faster in documetation what was agreed on in the discussions. I need a one button hit to paste in 3 Standard sentences as example.
Thank you! I personally use Profiles, but folders work as well. It's a matter of testing them out and seeing what you prefer. For leaving Zoom, I use the hotkey Cmd+W (for Mac). I do see that it's no longer listed in the Zoom keyboard shortcuts list, but it does still work on my Stream Deck!

I've been using the streamdeck for teaching on zoom. I teach kids so I have a few sound board links to get the students to start/stop tell them if they got a right or wrong answer. There are a lot of commands here that look pretty useful and now Stream Deck has built in Zoom functionality.
