The Thunderguards Motorcycle Club was founded in Wilmington, Delaware in 1965. They are an all-black outlaw motorcycle club.
The original members were Buckie (who is said to have chosen the name of “Thunderguards”), Junkyard, Fishman, Billy C, Charlie, Gordie and Cuppie. The group of men to join next were given the title of “7%ers”, they were Big Leonard, Joe, Lensey, Marvin, Sonny, Sam and Soulman.
In 1979 a board was voted in with one of the founding members, Sam, being selected as the President.
Originally the club used the houses of the founding members for meetings, but then opened a clubhouse in 1966 on 9th and Wilson in Wilmington, Delaware.
Today we sit down with Taa Shon well known in the hip hop music scene for doing a collab with a member of the Outcast MC which is unheard of because of the 2s past.

I grew up in the Charleston, SC area where I met some TG in the 80s when I was a teenager burning up the roads on a sport bike. Met the guys at a gas station and talked about bikes and stuff. They were the absolute coolest, most chill guys that I had ever met....taking time to talk to a youngster. Definitely part of setting the stage for my motorcycle journey. Much respect for TG.
My great uncle rode for TG back in the day out of Charleston SC. I love their club
What a great interview. Looking forward to the next part!!✌️
This cat is cool as hell and very intelligent. Speaks a lot of truth. One of the best interviews I've seen you do.

Sose, this has been a very enjoyable interview & very informative. Black MC's/1%er clubs do not exist in my country (Ireland) so i really enjoyed the insight. Respect. 🇮🇪

Very great interview. I'm so glad he made it clear that it's respect among brothers, NOT a color issue. That's how it should be. Love ya sose, bless you and yours, be safe out there
Love you too Dee
Lol nah it's definitely a color issue "lady"
Dope interview and to hear where he is from and the history with my Brothers is hella dope…!!! May we continue to grow and finally stop the wars with each other and be 1’s together…!!! Much Luv & Respect To you and the Brotha Taa Shon…!!! 🖤✊🏾
I knew Shon back in Kansas back in the day, we served together in the Army. Essayons Shon 🏰. He has always been mature beyond his years and one of the most real people I’ve met. You give respect you get respect, he’s always been like that. I was sad to see him go but I’m happy that he found another calling, another set of family, and that purpose he was looking for. Stay blessed Shon 🤙🏻
This means a lot big Sarge! 🫡
@@taashon2571💪🏽💯🏆
A very very very long standing 16 from here in VA told me that the reason why TG and 16s are so tight is that some of the founding members of the 16s were black. If you know about PG County, where 16s started, you can see this being true. A couple years later, the black bros left and started TG and they've been close since. Just what I heard but a cool story nonetheless.
If this is true, not saying you are incorrect, but why hasn’t anyone stated this publicly, because that’s a disservice to the 16’s and TG well not to them Internally, because if it’s true they know. But to us on the outside? Idk man. It’s makes me think about the Character of the person. Just my opinion fam 💪🏾
@judas_cobane maybe that's why it's not been stated publicly because it's none of anyone's business...idk man... just relaying what I've been told. Might be right, might be wrong....
I was told this by my grandfather who rode his whole life but I figured it’s a lie because he was an evil ass drunk said it was a split… but I do remember they use to have a house on Marlboro pike in pg county I lost a tooth there never been back
I still live 5 min from their old clubhouse off gov printz Blvd in wilmington, hated seeing them pushed out of there
I'm from Delaware as well that place has been there forever on governor printz I moved to southern Delaware now haven't been to Wilmington for a while
@HSantos327 good old wilmington lol. I drive past their everyday on my way to work. No business has yet to move in but I have been seeing the m/c further up the printz right next to Edgemoor so they are back around but it's way less noticeable or used like the old spot
Love how relaxed he was, that's a good interview.
Appreciate you
That was and is an amazing interview. The backstory to present and his journey very interesting. Just this past 5th January toronto international bike show here up in Canada there was a large group of TG's. Now to see an interview of your with a TG is pretty cool. Look forward to the second part of this interview. 👏👏👏👍👊✌️🙃🇨🇦

I'm new to the channel and Ive seen a couple interviews. But from a kid who grew up in an inner city, this by far has been the most relatable interviews I've seen. The Ruff Ryders MC is huge in my town. It just felt like I'm listening to one of cousin's talk type shit. This was great
Salute 2 the Thunder Guards
I like this cat!!!! He’s honest and carries himself w/ honor!!!!!:)
Gotti from Infamous Ryders, love this interview and definitely love your music ML&R for TG

Great interview. I keep expecting Mike Myers to pop out with the music
My editor got me with that one 😂
Yoooo !! I never knew it was a black Diamond 💎 that was on the 1% that was Good with Others 1% !! Dope Ass interview !!
That's wild! I'm a retired 12B combat engineer who rides too!
There is a Sons of Confederate veterans motorcycle heritage group called the Mechanized Calvary that's growing huge. 5,000 plus members. And 1% members ride sometimes with them.
I know it's a heritage group but it's getting huge.
Check them out. They ain't no joke.
I'd love to meet some of these men honestly. So many seem like good guys to just sit and chat with about anything really. His up bringing was cool to hear.
FROM THE 302 WILM DELAWARE MT USA /HILLTOP AND TG HAVE BEEN AROUND SINCE I WAS A KID AND ALWAYS GOOD TO THW COMMUNITY AND LOOK OUT FOR THOSE IN IT MUCB LOVE TO THEM
