It's early in the story, but I paused it at the 21-minute point to write this. I remember a divorce case in Augusta, Georgia during the time I lived there. The wife was crazy. One day decided she did not want to be married any longer and filed against her husband and accused him of the same things in this story. She even lured him back home under the guise of reconciling only to have him arrested. The husband finally left Georgia. About 5 years later karma came calling. Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer ended that man's nightmare. He cleared his name, got full custody of his kids, and remarried.

Well written! Loved the plot line and character development. The positive way the female’s rape, the wife’s betrayal, the daughter’s older boyfriend, and the son’s readjustment to a good role model present familial triumph over adversity. The short note at the end regarding the first wife’s betrayal showed how little she meant in the long run. Many thanks to the author for showing balanced portrayals of adult betrayal vs reviling either gender.❤

His initial response to his daughter's "older" boyfriend was one of the few unrealistic parts of the story. There's no way any father would be so nonchalant about their THIRTEEN year old daughter dating a 22 year old man.

I have a nephew that would wait on his mother to pick him up on Friday nights. She would end up being a no show and no call. He would sit on the porch crying and asking why his mother didn't love him. It was hard for a 4/5 yo boy to understand. It wasn't that she didn't love him she just loved partying more. That stayed that way until he got married and had kids. Now to hear her talk she was super mom. The dad that he lived with and raised him carries a little smile every time she comes around. She will never be as close to him as his dad.

Another great story! I love how characters get revenge by living their best lives in a lot of these stories. One of my closest friends I served with, his ex wife decided being a military wife wasn’t a life she wanted. She began an affair with a rich guy & did the same thing to my friend. She lied saying that he was abusive to her & their children. She received custody & he had supervised visitation. Slowly his kids didn’t want to spend time with him, so he lost contact with him. Fast forward years later & his son was an addict constantly in trouble, & his daughter was having issues too. His ex called him & said he needed to take over. His son is now clean & serving in the Air Force, & his daughter will be graduating from college in two years. His ex started her new family with her new husband, things aren’t going well for them. Keep the great stories coming LLC.

When i was living in another country something like this happened to a guy i knew but worse, what made him snap was when the wife wanted his grandmother's necklace/ moms ring that his grandfather made, all his money. Him,wife, lawyer, judge, bailiffs, innocent bystanders are no longer walking among us, he blew them all to smithereens via suicide bomb. It's a lot I won't say what she did to him but if i did you'll be soooo heated. By all means it wasn't right what he did but if one treats one bad enough one can snap! Oh and if i posted the story word for word all social media would deem it as too violent and be removed.

I get kids being poisoned against the father but ungratefulness is a trait that’s developed and from personal experience I don’t take betrayal well so idk if I could or would have Ben able to forgive the children for breaking my heart the way they did to him and acting the way they were after he took custody of them and if I could forgive them it would take so much more time then wat we are presented to in the story. I get they felt remorseful eventually but still This is just my personal stance Ik many people won’t agree with it but honestly I don’t care.

    • @Ninja-es3fi

Nah I believe you're not incorrect in your thinking. My child had it rough during my separation around the same age and we are more attached now than before. So the kids betrayal is unacceptable and I believe it would take years of conditioning to make your kids disrespect you the way this story portrays. Especially in their age group.

No blame on the children, but if they want to come to bed me when the grow up then so be it. I’ll explain everything to them when they get older. I’m sure the mother would have them poisoned against me.m but so be it

Now once he was served with that restraining order when the wife asked him to meet he should've contacted his lawyer and forward set message to her and had her show up as well as block her from xontacting his phone because that alone is violating the restraining order on her part which literally should've voided it out especially after she continued to text and boast about the things she was doing on purpose. I also would've told the judge that he no longer wants visitation and he wants to move to a different state to be free of this vile woman's tactics so he could move on with his life. I also would've never let my number be published so that I would never have to be around those ungrateful kids again.

Before this, its a shitty fate bestowed by WW to BH. She made him lose his job, steal the kids, frame him being violent, even made him pay for the house n alimony. Basically, she wreck him finanxially n emotionally.
Anyway, I understand why court believe wife accusation of husband allegedly being violent toward wife n kids (even including molestation). But to read that it happened to innocent man....its just sux big time.

It's crazy how the wife in this story was literally caught cheating but her and her affair partner came up with all those lies against him. Also I would've said hey I will see the kids after everything is done and decided also after everything is proved that none of the things I'm being accused of is true I will be filing a lawsuit against her and her affair partner for alienation of affection, as well as deformation of my character and for making him lose his job. And let's not forget he should've asked the judge for an actual DNA test. Also wtf why is it that he still has to pay all the costs of everything while the now ex wife gets to live off his earnings and let her affair partner live there as well. Also the first time that she violated the visitation order she should've been arrested immediately because she violated that court order on purpose. But hey it is what it is I would've just told the judge hey if I can't see my children then I'm not gonna pay for nothing

Well this story is total fiction as my brother's a judge and he said none of this was possible. She would have got a temporary restraining order in California the most liberal state but she would have had to prove with kids making testimony that there was abuse. And even if the story was true I should say no one could be this stupid. His lawyer was horrible and just took his money even with everything that well planned it would not have drug out that long and no judge would have done that. I thought it was poorly written and the story wasn't that compelling and I skipped sections because it got so ridiculously boring and so ridiculous.
