For someone that had so little, such a lot of money is something that you actually don't even understand. When you come from a shitty neighborhood, 1000 bucks is a lot, you just don't understand how to manage money until you gets fckd. It happened to myself. Coming from a middle-low class in Brazil, to ok class in Spain (and Im white, he's not its harder), imagine for someone like Tyson in a society like the US.

@uncjim and @Crillin112 - yours are two of the best comments I have read about Tyson. I remember seeing him on the BBC and he was such a nice kid (that was all he was...). He was shy, articulate and so polite. He was trained as a boxer...they taught him nothing else. I genuinely believe he simply found his own way and fought through (not just boxers) but life in general. The rape trial - read and review of it and you'll see how ridiculous the verdict was but he'd have gone to jail for something. I remember when he came out, one commentator said he'd "not be surprised if Tyson bought a gun and went after DOn King (whom he labelled a "a wretched, slimy, reptilian motherfucker" who stole his money). But somehow Mike Tyson seems to have found peace and fair play to him....I think his life was the biggest fight he had and it's clear he won that too. In his prime he simply had no peers as a boxer. Respect!

Agreed. I hope we, as a people, can take/learn something from this beautiful soul. He's as honest as anyone can be, considering the circumstances of his career arc. He's a man that came from nothing, earned everything, and lost (his wealth) once more. He batted for the cycle and I think that warrants study. Unless he, himself, shuns everyone around him, he deserves to be interviewed. If he has something to say, we can learn from heeding his experiences.

He had a AWESOME time. That's what he did with the money. Exotic cars and animals, massive mansions and hot women, top shelf alcohol and high grade narcotics, the best food and finest jewelry, 'A' list celebrity guest at wild parties...... Tyson was a fucking Superstar!
When you grow up with nothing you already know how to survive with nothing, but when you grow up with everything the thought of having nothing is terrifying. Tyson didn't have that fear.
Tyson just done what any person who came from nothing and gained everything would do..... He enjoyed every fucking aspect of it. How many people in this world who came from nothing will actually make and spend more than $400,000,000 on doing whatever they want to do?
I think the host of the interview didn't quite understand why not still having $400,000,000 in the bank wasn't a big deal to Tyson and how relaxed he was about what he bought and how much it cost. But it's impossible to understand how little money actually means useless you grew up with nothing.
All you need is enough money for food and shelter.....anything more than that is there to be spent on having fun...and this is what Tyson did. No matter how much he made and lost, Tyson still has more today then he had growing up as a kid and if he had never found boxing.
Mike Tyson is real guy who came from nothing and, through hard work mixed with natural talent and good teachers, became the baddest man of the planet and possibly one of the greatest athletes of all time and I salute you.

Funnily enough, even when boxing he has shown this side of him, asking if is opponent was okay after a fight and giving him a quick hug if it was a good fight. He's even helped opponents up off the mat when the referee has called a TKO. He went off the rails after the death of Cus D'Amato, his original trainer. The first stabilising figure in his life who provided him with disciplne died when he was at his peak. I find it sad that (even though Mike Tyson has done some reprehensible things) most people remember the bad side of him. He had a ridiculously shiity childhood and went from literally robbing houses and people at the age of thirteen to world champion thanks in large part to Cus D'Amato and his passing crushed Tyson mentally.

What got you? His honesty'His humility? his grace and softspokenness. His meek demeanor inspite of being a ferocious and phisically mighty human? His insightfulness into the human condition and heart? Or could it also be that he was the best most awesome and entertaining beast of a boxer that ever lived?

1:04 as he says "I just want to read through some of these figures" mike holds a smile and looks down. Mike knows what he spent his money on and he probably had the best time of his life doing it too.

What does he have to do ? But talk about how he fucked up, no afence to him but Mayweather is the only boxer who pimped the system he owns everything, you can learn from both imo.
