What I always liked to do is 'remaking' a skin. Basically, I first think of a cool idea for a skin. Then, after realizing I lack both the skill and time to make one, I download a skin from a random website, and basically re-paint the thing, slowly, into the skin that I have thought of. If you ever want to make an original skin both quickly and with high-quality, this is probably the way to go with.

Taking the many comments into consideration, I'd say that a VAST majority of people who actively play minecraft make their own skin. Skin sites would make you believe that most people wear those depressed looking skins but that simply isn't the case, not even close. Go into a server and you will find a very diverse range of skins. I think that the lack of creativity is from people who actively make skins on these sites, not the actual minecraft player base. So no, skins are not ending, not even close. The thing about that skin is that people usually use this skin when they are not premium cause on server you can set a skin putting the name of other playerr who have a skin

I strongly recommend blockbench for custom skins. Even if you don't know how to make skins from scratch, It's a great tool to edit and merge features from various skins to make something unique. i'm not even going to lie, this legitimately gave me chills. this is one of the greatest minecraft documentary i've ever seen, it's so well done. phenomenal job Vix!
Part of what I love about my skin is that I made it pretty much from scratch shortly after I got my account. It's a few iterations in but it's still similar to the base skin I made in the first few hours of owning a mc account. I've worn a few other skins, whether as a joke or because I liked that skin, but I've always come back to my first skin and it's newer versions. If you want to see it, my mc name is the same as my username here.
14 years ago, I found a person with a really interesting skin philosophy: Start with a basic design, shirt pants and face, and add something with every update. So I did that, added a new, thematically fitting bit for every update: 1.0: A set of goggles with the lenses inheriting the color scheme of eyes of ender 1.1: A belt 1.2: A vial of enchanting and healing to the belt 1.3: A leather coat (stole this one from a different skin ngl) 1.4: Emblazoned a creeper face on the coat 1.5: An amulet with a small redstone charm on it 1.6: New shoes and pants (also nicked from a different skin) 1.7: Replaced creeper face with a stylized Thaumaturge's Seal and updated shirt to look woven 1.8: Updated skin format to layer the coat on top of skin, re-adding shirt and pants 1.9: Scar going over one eye, which is now blinded, frayed bottom of coat 1.10: coat stitched up, added trim and rolled up sleeves. Updated hands to actually resemble fists 1.11: Added golden ring to one hand, updated skin texture to be more saturated 1.12: Redid all the colors. Coat is now warmer, and has a smoother gradient. Shoes are now higher. Pants are baggier. 1.13: Redid necklace chain. Redstone charm is now more narrow. 1.14: Added emerald charm to chain, new soles to the shoes, some armor to the right arm. 1.15: Added a vial of honey to the belt, as well as a rolled-up piece of paper. 1.16: Replaced metal belt buckle with a golden piglin belt buckle. 1.17: Merged emerald charm with an amethyst shard. 1.18: Added a bit of sculk to the non-armored arm. 1.19: Removed Sculk, replaced with an embroidered design on clothes and tattoo on skin 1.20: Updated clothes again. Not sure what I'll do for 1.21, but being able to see history on my skin is honestly pretty wild.
I’ve always made my own Minecraft skins, mainly for roleplaying purposes. One of my favorites was a character with a bright, multicolored jacket. It was so fun to make and use
What a sick video vixios glad to see someone from the Minecraft niche adapting the so popular storytelling that I often see on other videos aimed at larger audience bases. one thing tho, the calebissalty edit felt very out of place, just the whole sequence was a mess, the music didn't fit the narrative, the scenery was sometimes clunky and not fitting too, but the rest was fire 🔥 W vix
I don't know why the third act of the video suddenly started turning pessimistic and then leaves of at "Art is contaigous, pass it on" after literally saying that the whole modern scene is so uninspired, lazy and are just "clones". The video was going so good, for me it only lacked that last moments of upward mood shift wherein you could've left the quote in proper manner.
One thing that wasn't mentioned is that the old and flashy skins went out of fashion because the became stereotypical. Most of the time when someone had an OG 'gamer' skin, they would be looked down upon and harassed for their 'trash taste in skins', so in more modern times, they became more mundane.
ngl the examples in the thumbnail are like. the worst examples. How is "that one fire and ice skin every white boy used" more original than "completely custom design that is actually unique to the owner?" This is not a defense of Dream in any capacity, but by definition, his skin is more original than the majority of old skins. I just don't see how the argument computes with the given examples. Also skins of licensed characters is about as far as you can get from "original" lmao
10:25 "in parkour civilization, no one chooses to jump for the beef, it's better to jump for the chicken than risk your entire life for half a hungry bar more"
I mean, he straight up talked about "PNGskins" earlier in the video when covering the "golden age", just with a different name. It's a whole lot of nothing.
I remember faction skins to be a lot older then mentioned in the video, but that might have just been the Dutch community. Between 2012 and 2015 we had the YT series called "The Kingdom" which was roleplay/faction involving the bigger Dutch Minecraft YT channels. Some of those factions had faction skins for plot reasons.
This is why I make my own skins. My skin actually has a recreation of my goth/punk battle jacket that I own and wear regularly irl, as well as a red bandana I often wear too.
I’m not really a skin artist but I wanna say I do make pretty good skins for personal use. It still takes practice but imo it’s infinitely better than whatever skins you can find that’s popular. There’s something special about having a skin unique to only you regardless how it looks. It’s been fun seeing my variety of mc skins evolve throughout the years.
This is why i force my buddies and brother to spend some time in the creator menu. His skin is atrocious to look at but his skin is unique to him. Same as mine. Creating your own skin is you.
I made my skin back in the day with a face based on Taurtis’ skin, a little hair floof, a tshirt and shorts, and a hidden layer of heart undies. The only changes it’s seen is fun new versions to fit whatever theme I’m playing with
i strive to have the editing skills like you one day. When this showed up on my recomended, all i did was check the thumbnail and not the views, and throughout the video, I was expecting something like 100k-1m views. insane.
Loved this video Vix, i rly like how u get other ppl to do voiceovers and not just urself, thats not a common thing to do i like it keep it up 100K Soon!!
this video's making me feel inspired to get back into making minecraft skins again :) it really is a lot of fun, and i don't know why but it feels really rewarding to finish a skin and finally be able to see it on yourself in-game! personal story: i'm really attached to the shovel knight skin i made, because way back when minecraft was around its peak popularity, i decided my "minecraft youtuber gimmick" would be using a diamond shovel as a weapon instead of a sword. i had never even heard of shovel knight at that point, so when i did finally learn of it, i got really excited because of my idea and felt a connection with it right away. i didn't end up making my skin until just a couple years ago (also never ended up being a minecraft youtuber lmao), but to this day i still have no desire to change it because of how personal it feels, with the way that little idea has come full circle in a way! i mostly just wanted to share that story in a place where it's somewhat relevant lol, but i guess the takeaway could be that you don't need to have an original idea to be able to make a meaningful custom minecraft skin? idk lol, either way it's a really fun art form and i hope it doesn't fall out of practice! and of course there's nothing wrong with using a skin someone else made, or even using really popular skins, but it's kinda sad to see how little variety there seems to be on skin hosting sites like namemc.
Personally I love making my own custom skins, especially when it's time to show them off. I especially like making variations of my base skin (me, but disguised as an Enderman) with some interesting twist (the latest having a Steampunk theme).
Holy shit. This video is like. A convo i had with a friend a few days ago. I was scrolling through skindex while on call, and we started talking about how all of the skins had a similar colour style (all the colours looked like they had a warm filter over it), and how they were very same face-y. Very cool to see a video elaborating on both that, and the history of mc skins!
Agreed, it's especially funny to me that the "original" looking skin on the thumbnail is the most generic "gamer" skin in the whole game, lobbies used to be full of those copy paste skins
Last time i made a personal skin it was some sort of skin that could be used without the outer layer like if you toggle the coat off you can see a white shirt under it. I was having a lot of fun thinking of new fitting things to include in it
Completely unrelated, I really appreciate you adding the script into the description, mostly for the music you use because you always seem to find bangers!
I still remember the first few skins I made as a kid, maybe I’ll remake my first skin if I can find an old screenshot somewhere. Right now I’m making skins for friends based on their characters, it’s really cool to see something you made being used in a game
i still make my own skins and i constantly get remarks like "that skin looks like its from 2015" and instead of getting annoyed at it, i just say thank you and move on because oh my god i miss those days when skins were creative
Ive just recently gotten java minecraft and I was able to finally make a design that Ive been dreaming of for years and am so glad. And now when I load into a server I just look around and just see copies of copies it feels like Im just swimming in a ocean of mundain now.
I have never used a skin made by someone else, ever. I have taken design elements before, but I consider the skin marketplace far superior as a inspiration than as a end goal. I've also never uploaded my skins, specifically so I either never see them elsewhere or SOMEONE has put a lot of effort into getting it and deserves that recognition. I believe this kind of system would have resulted in a lot more creativity over the years.
I make my own skins based off original ideas that nobody seems to find despite having great quality so I’m completely original also this video was really well made wow! Thanks for this great documentary
@@notvixiosa friend of mine sent me a screenshot along with a link of the video saying "dude is that you?" and i needed to check for myself. thanks for including me LMAO! i love the video, really well done
i disagree - this video was 100x better than the previous. imo the editing and writing was almost flawless, the only areas for improvement are topic choice (i felt there wasn’t much there to invest in emotionally), music choice and some poor continuity (some jokes/plugs kinda ruin the immersion). those three are my pieces of feedback but this was incredibly well done! as i said, the editing and writing was so impressive and i’ll share this documentary around :)
As a skin creator myself, I usually just make my skin the IRL version of me, wearing whatever my favorite outfit at the time is because I have indeed noticed a lack of originality on Skindex, and I hate it.
Skins online just don’t look appealing to me, so I made my own. The only part of my skin which is copied is the gray white pattern at the back of my head
I remember as a kid using a skin generator, where you'd see a selection of parts and then pick and choose them to create a skin, and somehow it's still original in my opinion to this day. I'm not even into Superman but it has the Superman suit logo on it and "goggles" and then otherwise is just a standard dude. I randomly thought while watching this that maybe I should modify my skin so it has something more "me" then for whatever reason I have Superman on my chest. Not sure if I'll ever do it but I might some day.
One thing I’ve always hated as someone who makes skins is following trends. It seems like nowadays people just make the usual eboy/egirl skin and while I have no problem with people expressing themselves however they want, I just personally find it boring. When I started up my Skindex account, figured that the best way to gain followers was to look at all the trending skins and just make stuff like it, which were usually just eboy or egirl skins. Quite frankly I hated doing it but I did it anyways because I wanted followers. I wasn’t exactly the best at it but I was decent, but I just hated making them since I didn’t like that style of skin. Eventually I got tired of it and decided to explore new avenues, and essentially invented my own unique style of making skins which involves harsh contrasts between bright and dark colours and dramatic lighting. I loved it and continued to roll with it. Eventually I found huge success with it and in less than a year I hit 1K followers on Skindex and I’ll probably hit 1.5K by the end of this year. Is there a message in all this? I suppose just be yourself and stop trying to follow a status quo unless that status quo is something you genuinely love and feel connected to.
I just started playing Minecraft recently, and I have been using a skin of a traditional Russian costume I downloaded from the Skindex. It's a fairly unique one, I hope, and I did end up actually repainting it recently, making the colors nicer and making him look more like me. i don't know if that's enough to make it count as an original skin, though, considering the basic design is still much the same.
You think the ones in 2012 are original????? what. The dumbass "Hoodie character" thing isn't original at all. Everyone did it. Also, the skins that people upload online do not represent the "Creativity" that people have, because lots of those uploaded skins seem to follow the same rules and such. Log onto servers and whatever else, and you'll see that the lack of originality only applies to these Minecraft skin websites :/ Literally.
That thumbnail is wrong. Although I hate dream, his skin was originally made by him. That skin on the left was something many people could just download off a website
My cousin was a pretty well know skin creator back in 2012-2015, he had a few skins with big popularity that were used by some of the biggest builders. He ended up making me a custom skin that I still use to this day, I've updated it or recolored it for events but i have never changed it, its been almost 10 years on the same skin now and I will never change it.
I can see why, it's made by someone close to you adding a personal touch to it. That can't be replicated by someone else it's both of yours. his and yours
honestly something cool that i feel wasnt touched on are the untapped possibilities of transparent outer layers. right now they are just used for patrern skins or for glasses but i feel they have way more options use than they currently are getting
When I was browsing in PlanetMinecraft, I saw a skin of Ganyu from Genshin (made by Tootsi if you wanna search it), and it was one of the best skins I saw that used transparency on the outer layer Personally, I would like to use transparency on the outer layer, but I'm afraid it won't fare well when you use Minecraft versions and editions that don't support it (such as Bedrock). I'm a person who likes compatibility on their skins, so I hope they'll finally add support for it
this style of editing is amazing! i come across channels with unique editing styles semi-often but i really enjoyed yours, and i think it’s very unique :). subscribed!
This is the exact reason i take pride in making my own skin, i made my skin based off my twitch and youtube pfp, and im so proud of it because not only was it my first time making a skin, it was my first time breaking away from copied or previously made skins.
I have been playing on bedrock forever but recently got Java. I used a skin I made all the way back in elementary school, just a little pumpkin guy wearing striped clothes. May not be the most exciting skin ever, but it is still somehow more unique than most skins nowadays.
sometimes I forget I've been playing minecraft for over a decade, and watching videos like this one about things I lived, it surprise me how much has happen in minecraft
Mine defines me... Sort of... It's just a hay block head, specific colored arms and legs of a solid color and a chest for a... chest but I overtime updated it to look better like enhancing the hay block, giving my skin clothes and adding a little bit more detail to the hands and feet of my skin
this was an interesting video, I like the editing style. and this is exactly why whenever i get a new skin, i always draw it from scratch, though i have just made variations of my skin and taken inspiration from other skins and media, its still fun to design and draw my own skin, even wearing one i made is fun as i know that this is my creation. wish more people had that mindset.
my minecraft skin is, well it's not like the ones mentioned before, but it's not creative as others, it's just me how i see myself in mc, a green hoodie, beanie, jeans, etc., but it's personalized and doesn't feel like i copy and pasted it, i want (and hope) when people see my skin is "oh, he made his own skin, basic but at least it's his own skin"

@@Neoniq41 i said i agree that theres a decrease in color but its not as bad as the video says because theres still plenty of colorful skins on namemc
@@Neoniq41idk if that’s just ur nostalgia talking bc I remember thinking the gamer boy ones were just cringe tbh
i'm not even going to lie, this legitimately gave me chills. this is one of the greatest minecraft documentary i've ever seen, it's so well done. phenomenal job Vix!

Yeah it feels a lot like other high quality documentaries like stuff made by Lemmino
1:23 of course someone almost immediatly made a block themed skin lol.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
14 years ago, I found a person with a really interesting skin philosophy: Start with a basic design, shirt pants and face, and add something with every update. So I did that, added a new, thematically fitting bit for every update:
1.0: A set of goggles with the lenses inheriting the color scheme of eyes of ender
1.1: A belt
1.2: A vial of enchanting and healing to the belt
1.3: A leather coat (stole this one from a different skin ngl)
1.4: Emblazoned a creeper face on the coat
1.5: An amulet with a small redstone charm on it
1.6: New shoes and pants (also nicked from a different skin)
1.7: Replaced creeper face with a stylized Thaumaturge's Seal and updated shirt to look woven
1.8: Updated skin format to layer the coat on top of skin, re-adding shirt and pants
1.9: Scar going over one eye, which is now blinded, frayed bottom of coat
1.10: coat stitched up, added trim and rolled up sleeves. Updated hands to actually resemble fists
1.11: Added golden ring to one hand, updated skin texture to be more saturated
1.12: Redid all the colors.
1.19: Removed Sculk, replaced with an embroidered design on clothes and tattoo on skin
1.20: Updated clothes again.
Not sure what I'll do for 1.21, but being able to see history on my skin is honestly pretty wild.
This made me realize how big of an impact skins had on the history of Minecraft.
Womp womp
One thing that wasn't mentioned is that the old and flashy skins went out of fashion because the became stereotypical. Most of the time when someone had an OG 'gamer' skin, they would be looked down upon and harassed for their 'trash taste in skins', so in more modern times, they became more mundane.
Fire video! Love the edit, different narrators and the message! Stay creative
I don’t think player’s skins are unoriginal. You’ve just gotten used to all the skins that do exist, and new types of skins are rare.
ngl the examples in the thumbnail are like. the worst examples. How is "that one fire and ice skin every white boy used" more original than "completely custom design that is actually unique to the owner?" This is not a defense of Dream in any capacity, but by definition, his skin is more original than the majority of old skins. I just don't see how the argument computes with the given examples. Also skins of licensed characters is about as far as you can get from "original" lmao
i agree with your point but whats with the "whiteboy"
The originality got so low that even derpy skins look original now.
10:25 "in parkour civilization, no one chooses to jump for the beef, it's better to jump for the chicken than risk your entire life for half a hungry bar more"
Not gonna lie, this video just felt like "new bad, old good"
I mean, he straight up talked about "PNGskins" earlier in the video when covering the "golden age", just with a different name. It's a whole lot of nothing.
Are you trying to tell me that the gamer skins were original 💀
First thing I though of 💀
I remember faction skins to be a lot older then mentioned in the video, but that might have just been the Dutch community. Between 2012 and 2015 we had the YT series called "The Kingdom" which was roleplay/faction involving the bigger Dutch Minecraft YT channels. Some of those factions had faction skins for plot reasons.
This is why I make my own skins. My skin actually has a recreation of my goth/punk battle jacket that I own and wear regularly irl, as well as a red bandana I often wear too.
what is your username ingame?
@@Aekan Aint no way LMAO
I’m not really a skin artist but I wanna say I do make pretty good skins for personal use. It still takes practice but imo it’s infinitely better than whatever skins you can find that’s popular. There’s something special about having a skin unique to only you regardless how it looks. It’s been fun seeing my variety of mc skins evolve throughout the years.
This is why i force my buddies and brother to spend some time in the creator menu. His skin is atrocious to look at but his skin is unique to him. Same as mine. Creating your own skin is you.
i mean, by the same logic, should you also make your own clothes in real life?
@@ezentsy3329the logic only applies to video games 😂 stop overthinking
The cinemaphotography and documentary vibes to a Minecraft skin history..astounding. 10/10 a masterpiece.
I'm loving the recent video essays you're doing, they are extremely high quality and fun to watch.
When this showed up on my recomended, all i did was check the thumbnail and not the views, and throughout the video, I was expecting something like 100k-1m views. insane.
8:15
So surreal to see my skin being shown in a random video. I love to remake old skins.
Oh damn
Loved this video Vix, i rly like how u get other ppl to do voiceovers and not just urself, thats not a common thing to do i like it
keep it up 100K Soon!!
this video's making me feel inspired to get back into making minecraft skins again :) it really is a lot of fun, and i don't know why but it feels really rewarding to finish a skin and finally be able to see it on yourself in-game!
personal story: i'm really attached to the shovel knight skin i made, because way back when minecraft was around its peak popularity, i decided my "minecraft youtuber gimmick" would be using a diamond shovel as a weapon instead of a sword. i had never even heard of shovel knight at that point, so when i did finally learn of it, i got really excited because of my idea and felt a connection with it right away. i didn't end up making my skin until just a couple years ago (also never ended up being a minecraft youtuber lmao), but to this day i still have no desire to change it because of how personal it feels, with the way that little idea has come full circle in a way!
i mostly just wanted to share that story in a place where it's somewhat relevant lol, but i guess the takeaway could be that you don't need to have an original idea to be able to make a meaningful custom minecraft skin? idk lol, either way it's a really fun art form and i hope it doesn't fall out of practice! and of course there's nothing wrong with using a skin someone else made, or even using really popular skins, but it's kinda sad to see how little variety there seems to be on skin hosting sites like namemc.
They were never original in the first place, they have always looked the same
True
Agreed, it's especially funny to me that the "original" looking skin on the thumbnail is the most generic "gamer" skin in the whole game, lobbies used to be full of those copy paste skins
Last time i made a personal skin it was some sort of skin that could be used without the outer layer like if you toggle the coat off you can see a white shirt under it. I was having a lot of fun thinking of new fitting things to include in it
14:22 that's a good quote
Completely unrelated, I really appreciate you adding the script into the description, mostly for the music you use because you always seem to find bangers!
I still remember the first few skins I made as a kid, maybe I’ll remake my first skin if I can find an old screenshot somewhere. Right now I’m making skins for friends based on their characters, it’s really cool to see something you made being used in a game
Never seen a more serious video on this channel
8:23 the old Lololowka
i still make my own skins and i constantly get remarks like "that skin looks like its from 2015" and instead of getting annoyed at it, i just say thank you and move on because oh my god i miss those days when skins were creative
This video is gonna change our minds completely, I can't wait.
This channel can go from perfectly cut Minecraft moments to incredibly made and cinematic Minecraft documentaries.
and I’m here for it
Ive just recently gotten java minecraft and I was able to finally make a design that Ive been dreaming of for years and am so glad. And now when I load into a server I just look around and just see copies of copies it feels like Im just swimming in a ocean of mundain now.
man you just made me want to change my lists of skins now I realized
Sorry bro it’s not that deep. Log onto any server. Ur gonna see thousands of different skins
bro is from frown town
this is the first video I have ever watched that actually used up my entire screen.
LOL
I have never used a skin made by someone else, ever. I have taken design elements before, but I consider the skin marketplace far superior as a inspiration than as a end goal. I've also never uploaded my skins, specifically so I either never see them elsewhere or SOMEONE has put a lot of effort into getting it and deserves that recognition.
I believe this kind of system would have resulted in a lot more creativity over the years.
u got me thinking for a hole hour what my new minecraft skin should be
I make my own skins based off original ideas that nobody seems to find despite having great quality so I’m completely original also this video was really well made wow! Thanks for this great documentary

very interesting video, keep up the good work dude
This is BEAUTIFULLY edited and I’m only a minute in love the credits with the laptop
i really liked the previous one better. you should do a poll so that we can choose which video essay was better so that it helps u improve.😊
I appreciate any feedback on either video
i disagree - this video was 100x better than the previous. imo the editing and writing was almost flawless, the only areas for improvement are topic choice (i felt there wasn’t much there to invest in emotionally), music choice and some poor continuity (some jokes/plugs kinda ruin the immersion). those three are my pieces of feedback but this was incredibly well done! as i said, the editing and writing was so impressive and i’ll share this documentary around :)
As a skin creator myself, I usually just make my skin the IRL version of me, wearing whatever my favorite outfit at the time is because I have indeed noticed a lack of originality on Skindex, and I hate it.
Dude, this video is AMAZING! It’s a great balance between funny and sad. This channel deserves more!
gosh i love video essays about minecraft
I hate how every skin nowadays is either an eboy skin, meme skin, or skeppy face skin.
Skins online just don’t look appealing to me, so I made my own. The only part of my skin which is copied is the gray white pattern at the back of my head
3:38 ayyo celeste music?!
I love these documentary-type videos, they’re really well-made you should make more!
Not sure if I'll ever do it but I might some day.
aye yolo man
One thing I’ve always hated as someone who makes skins is following trends.
A masterpiece this indeed is…
I just started playing Minecraft recently, and I have been using a skin of a traditional Russian costume I downloaded from the Skindex.
Log onto servers and whatever else, and you'll see that the lack of originality only applies to these Minecraft skin websites :/
Literally.
7:08 nah bro I think I used that exact skin years ago 😭
Mf you are also using a blob skin lol
Exactly. He doesn't like it prolly but made it bcuz it's his channel branding.
im glad i gave a chance to the video, it is very educational and perfectly edited
minecraft skins never were original bruh

why is this like a crime scene documentary... I ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT
honestly something cool that i feel wasnt touched on are the untapped possibilities of transparent outer layers. right now they are just used for patrern skins or for glasses but i feel they have way more options use than they currently are getting
When I was browsing in PlanetMinecraft, I saw a skin of Ganyu from Genshin (made by Tootsi if you wanna search it), and it was one of the best skins I saw that used transparency on the outer layer
Personally, I would like to use transparency on the outer layer, but I'm afraid it won't fare well when you use Minecraft versions and editions that don't support it (such as Bedrock). I'm a person who likes compatibility on their skins, so I hope they'll finally add support for it
I made my skin somewhat based on Slamacow, and somehow ended looking way different
this style of editing is amazing! i come across channels with unique editing styles semi-often but i really enjoyed yours, and i think it’s very unique :). subscribed!
This is why I pretty much exclusively use custom made skins of my own original characters... I almost always make my own skins.
Proud to say I’ve always made my own skins using Skinseed
This is the exact reason i take pride in making my own skin, i made my skin based off my twitch and youtube pfp, and im so proud of it because not only was it my first time making a skin, it was my first time breaking away from copied or previously made skins.
"men can't be loyal"
The skin i made on skindex when i was 10:
I have been playing on bedrock forever but recently got Java. I used a skin I made all the way back in elementary school, just a little pumpkin guy wearing striped clothes. May not be the most exciting skin ever, but it is still somehow more unique than most skins nowadays.
sometimes I forget I've been playing minecraft for over a decade, and watching videos like this one about things I lived, it surprise me how much has happen in minecraft
i would like to argue that skins dont lose their originality as long as you make your own
Mine defines me...
It feels so weird to hear Jak's voice on a non-Disrupt video
my minecraft skin is, well it's not like the ones mentioned before, but it's not creative as others, it's just me how i see myself in mc, a green hoodie, beanie, jeans, etc., but it's personalized and doesn't feel like i copy and pasted it, i want (and hope) when people see my skin is "oh, he made his own skin, basic but at least it's his own skin"
