    How do you know if your smart?
    When information like this is presented to you and (assuming no or limit baseline knowledge) and you process the information at deep levels, and more importantly recall when presented with the same or similar information and are able to interpret and problem solve. Memorizing, well has a wow factor but unless you can effectively solve problems, short term memory alone won’t get you very far

    • @RandyNeilMD
      @RandyNeilMD  3 роки тому

      It's all a bout the repetition... The ability to recall may make you a good test taker for STANDARD EXAMS... but you got to have some "problem solving" skills to get through the STEP Exams... My goal to to try and simplify as much as I can and make sure you don't see something for the first time on the exam... Hopefully, you can make your mistakes with me, not on the exam.

    But I have doubt @16:07 you mentioned Protein Kinase A increases Calcium but, you choose IP3, which also increases the calcium.
    So how did we eliminate Protein Kinase A?

    I don't know if i'm missing something, but following your pathways, regarding the first question...how do you decide between D.) IP3 or B.) Protein Kinase A, as they are both "directly responsible for release of intracellular Ca2+." The question does not specify WHERE in the body this is occurring. Thanks for you videos! Always helpful!

    Your videos have meant more to me than you will ever know! I went on the website and didn't see a Pharm one-page pdf. Also, the Behavioral button is linked to the BIOC pdf. Would you reupload please?

    Thank you so much for your videos Dr. Neil! Greatly appreciated. I just wanted to ask you about the answer about the GPCR pathway (which factor directly activates intracellular Ca?): why couldn't the answer have been "protein kinase A"?. I thought that protein kinase A in the Gs pathway also directly increased intracellular Ca levels or does it not?
