Well nuts. I missed the live. We went to our off grid cabin yesterday to get some work done and spent the night.
Those blocks are gorgeous! Love the boarder and backing fabric and can’t wait to see it done.
I figured you were doing something important. I was forced into being off grid the other night- my internet AND phone were out. It was not a pleasant feeling but I put on some music and finished the pastel blocks.

The goldfinches love the dry sunflower heads. I leave them on the plant and I have tons of goldfinches

It's relaxing to watch you work on these but I'll be looking forward to mixed media again! It's nice to have variety.
Maybe at the beginning of Sept I will throw some mixed media in the mix. I keep wanting to make writing journals too- for the 5 or 6 little free libraries I visit.
OH - that is a GREAT idea! I wish I knew where more of those were located; the only one I know about is intended for children. That's awesome, but I don't really have anything to contribute...

I am working on a Crazy quilt for the first time. I would like to see a whole crazy quilt done by you. I do not have much to embellish it with as I have not collected such stuff. Here where I live in Sri Lanka we do not have thrift stores so I have to go and buy new things. I might just only embroider it and add lace and a few beads. It is to be a memory quilt as I am using my late mother’s two dress which I have kept for over twenty five years and also some my late husband’s ties. I added some velvet ( which I’d terrible to sew with). Please let me see a full quilt if you have one. Greetings and good wishes from Sri Lanka.
Look in my crazy quilt play list for a video named "Tying my daughter's quilt" or something like that. You will see a large quilt with just lace and embroidery. Any video in that play list that has Finishing in the title will show smaller quilts. Good luck with yours!

I just recently started playing w my beads. Don't have a small enough needle!
Did you find one? Try a size 11 quilting between. They are short but small and sharp.
Love your videos 🍄what type of thread you using is it just regular or special and. Are you using beading needles 🌻
Sometimes I use whatever is handy but usually it's Nymo beading thread size D. No I am not using beading needles as they are hard to thread and break too easily

I am new here. Love your work but I'd really like to know how you came up with the title of your channel. LOL. It doesn't really match your beautiful Victorian blocks. LOL
@@brendamc3535 I have had this name since 2001 when we had a pit bull named Diane who nipped at our heels like the wolf in Dances with Wolves. My channel started out as me playing my guitar and singing to my online friends who knew me as Dances with Pit Bulls. Most of them just called me Dances. Even though my channel changed I kept my name as I don't pander to public opinion much lol
Hi Rebecca, What embroidery stitch are you using on this project? I want to try it.
I used a lot of different ones but my go-to stitch is the cretan stitch. I use it a LOT!
