  • Not much to say about this one. I applied the same route change as bad ending where I get Skinny as one of my second pair of friends, and other than that just better movement. Think I'm done with this game for the time being (again)

    Oh my god
1 I love the fact you did a speedrun for my game
and 2 I had no idea there were that many glitches left in there!!!!!
I am really glad you like the game well enough to do a speedrun for it

Thanks. I'd actually wanted to create a speedrun for Reach since back when you released the 1.00 version, but I ended up putting it on the backburner for a while. Even without the glitches it just seemed like a good speed game, like with how fast Spider is, how there's a button to skip through the text automatically, and how the route I made before I found the glitches ended up being an almost perfect, efficient circle through Limbo that seemed intentional. I also thought it was really interesting how Sewa moves across some surfaces slower than others; finding ways to avoid those as much as possible took a lot of research and made the movement feel a lot more thoughtful than it would've been otherwise.
Finding the glitches was a lot of fun too, even if noclip hyperspeed movement is kind of a nightmare to control. The thing where you get Tiny a second time instead of Jumbo in particular was really tough to figure out. It looks really simple in the runs I did, like, "Oh you just leave the room early and you can get him twice", but you actually have to play the game in a really specific way that would take kind of a mini essay to actually explain fully. Basically half a dozen little details about how you evented the cutscenes had to line up exactly right for it to even be possible.
Also, wishing you luck with the rest of For Elise. I played 0.01 and really liked it.
