"Ask me how I know" Hit hard, LOL Another reason for a spouse becoming seemingly significantly lazy is if they are struggling with a sin that you may or may not know about. I love hearing you guys literally talking out the issues that you guys are bringing up. It is really nice to see healthy communication between a husband and a wife❤
My 4 year old had the same question asking how baby gets into the belly and I've loved following birds and bees on Instagram they have a course as well on talking to your kids about all the stuff. Maybe you've heard of it. But I simply told her that a seed is planted in mommys tummy and that grows into a baby. That was enough for her at this stage. I feel like we often overcomplicate their questions in our mind when really they're satisfied with such a simple answer. I definitely hope to have the hard conversations with my children before they hear it from others hopefully. My parents never had any conversations with us so I'm hoping to change that in our own home. I appreciate your outlook on so many things. I've definitely been encouraged to just do parenting in a way that isn't always trying to be like every other family but doing what works for our family!
It is so hard thinking of talking to your kids who were just babies( it feels like) about things that you sorta wish they didn’t need to know about for a long time! I feel like I’m sad because I don’t want them to know this stuff yet, but also glad we can be the ones to share with them. Encouraging to know that your mom was even embarrassed and that it still worked out! We have an almost 8 year old girl, and three boys after her and I’m taking her on a girls overnight just her and I for her birthday, but to also start talking about some of these things(even though I’d rather avoid the topic, trying to make it fun)! 💜
You guys crack me up! You had me laughing alongside you guys with the “dragging their meat around the park” situation, Elijah’s commentary and facial expressions are very funny. Love you guys so much, great podcast.
@28:01 Elizabeth Urbanowicz’s ministry Foundation Worldview has some great information and recommendations on how to approach these conversations. Interviews with Christopher Yuan and Hillary Ferrer, particularly. 12 is too late, average exposure to bad pictures is now 8, cell phones are everywhere, and UA-cam videos for kids can have bad commercials or intentionally explicit content spliced in the middle. but the early conversations are simple and sweet and lay a good foundation that you build upon over years. Affirming God’s good design, and that He made your son a boy are part of those early pieces. I love how y’all interact as a married couple and how you’re thinking through challenging and interesting issues of many different kinds, with a biblical worldview as a goal! I love being on the same team with my husband, it takes some work but it’s such an incredible blessing to us both.
I know what book you are talking about. Its about the mental load. I have seen the writer make some videos online. Its definitely not Christian person, but the concept can really help husbands understand the mentally of their wives and the same for women when it comes to their husband's workload.
I wrestle with this idea We are to serve and care for our husbands please share an how that can not always be an umbrella to catch them? I cant seem to come up with an example of that if someone can :)
Can you guys share instructions on how to rate your podcast (maybe show a screen grab of you going to the place where to do it)? I finally after a billion times hearing you guys say it am like, “oh yea, I should go ahead and rate you guys” (I adore your podcast and all your content), but I went to my podcast app and couldn’t figure out how to rate it. I’m probably dense and admittedly didn’t try that hard, but I bet if you did that it would help boost your ratings! I’m sure I’m not the only one who is more than happy to do it but doesn’t know how. :)
Ok just finished the episode. Good one! I learn so much from you guys, not just the content itself but also your dynamic as a podcasting couple (we are too).
@@NowThatWereAFamilyPodcast So when you guys talk about ratings are you talking about Apple podcasts or reviews on any platform? I could try on a different platform! I just subbed on Spotify, but I couldn't rate yet because I haven't listened to any episodes via that platform.
I googled how to rate and review on Apple podcasts and figured it out! Just rated and reviewed the podcast. :) (It was easy, just wasn't in a place that was intuitive to me so I overlooked it)
@@NowThatWereAFamilyPodcast by the way, my husband does all the back end stuff for our podcast. I’m just 1/2 of the “in front of the camera” talent. Can you tell? 😅 This process has motivated me to learn more about ratings for my own podcast, so thanks for that. We are still growing. 😊
Thanks for this folks! And for pushing through post-talking-stress! We value your honest thoughts and humble perspectives of what’s worked for you!
I love how stylish Katie is 😊 great podcast yall !

Ah thank you! Yes, I think it is different on each platform. Too bad they make it so hard for you! Thank you so much for the encouragement!!

What denomination are you guys? Just curious...I can't figure it out. Lol
We go to a non-denominational church called Hayden Bible Church. We really love it.
non fiction evolution joke 🔥
