Why not use solar energy in the country where solar radiation is among the highest?
A young German company is building a solar plant with containers for the village of Amaloul in Niger. This will enable solar energy to be used exactly where the people need it most. Only about one percent of the rural population in Niger is connected to the power grid. Development policy has done nothing to change this. This is supposed to change with the solar plants. The container with the solar panels should enable more efficient agriculture and bring light to the school. But for the use of solar energy, the heat and all the sand put obstacles in the way of the team.
