Modern humans colonized the whole planet and replaced all other hominids, such as Neanderthals. This evolvement raises interesting evolutionary questions concerning both species. The paleoanthropological research presented in this video looks at a moment in time when both co-existed. In order to find out about the differences between them, JEAN-JACQUES HUBLIN looks at both species’ use of technology, behavior, and social organization using molecular screening techniques.

The evidence currently points dominantly to evolution...... but nobody claims it to be 100% confirmed. Skeptical analytical people never claim 100% truth unless it can be seen, touched and verified, just like science.

Research into Neanderthal (and Denisovan) DNA showed those things were 15-16ths human and 1-16th chimpanzee. The ape-men were not human ancestors. They were the result of human-ape hybridization.
You're talking shit. They were all cousin hominids that descended from the same common homo erectus ancestor that spread to Eurasia out of Africa. Modern humans spread out of Africa and replaced the other descendants of the same common ancestor

I clarify: the dna parts that are completely different they exclude these from count, they compare only the common genes and how many changes are between them. The 1% counts single “dna letters” difference, but even a single change might mean huge difference in protein coding and how they work...
They weren't things and we share about 98% of our DNA with chimpanzees.

Neanderthals also were from Africa, but hit Europe far earlier than Sapien, so they are slightly less "African" than Homo Sapien.
