I like that they play actual fucking riffs. It's so refreshing to hear after the endless dull stream of low open cords from shitty deathcore bands.
amen brother
True. Very true. Riffs is what makes brutal metal enjoyable. Normal deathcore seems so lame.
the death metal influences as work my friend. Tis why this isn't just plain deathcore.
Philosopher Sheep I think "Technical death metal" suits this pretty well.
How about "Bomb ass jams" metal?
I wonder if the vocalist has difficulty facing the fact that he is an absolute beast.
Perhaps he is one of the Flood :P
I’m sure he’s just accepted it. Lol
Could be like me: "I don't have an ego... I just let everyone else say how great I am."
Ben is truly a badass vocalist!
This band has 4 full-lengths now, I still think this 1 is their best
I second that
Sic
You can have that opinion I suppose.
AGREED
This album essentially retells the Forerunner-Flood war from Halo. Read the lyrics.
I was expecting they're Halo fans judging by the name of their band :D
This album sounds even better after all these years
the thing that really sucks about this album is that it ends..........
It’s always a sad ending when a shadow of intent album ends.
This has everything, riffs, solos, amazing vocals, production, just a huge record; and all from two guys too impressive.
its 3 guys
Agreed, although I heard they picked up a third guy for this album, the drummer.
Actually it's possible this was 2 guys I know they have a 3rd now unless he's just a new drummer
@@necrolam7593 this is made with Midi drums... I think that their drummer joined after this album
luke bailey this is TWO FUCKING GUYS?!?! 🤯🤯🤯
Damn I love it when I accidentally discover something awesome.
Perfect blend of heavy, catchy, technical and dynamic. One the best albums I've heard in years
This is an album to listen to all the way through without even one bad or filler song
In on the 3rd song and I've heard 5 stolen riffs so far....wait now there's 6. Jesus this guitarist loved dethklok lmao
Not only is this album a masterpiece, but the lyrics are all Halo lore oriented. OMG I think I just found my dream band..
How come this band isn't as big as they should be?! What the hell, people?! Ben is a SPECTACULAR vocalist. These are TRUE musicians, guys!!
They are fucking huge wtf are you talking about lol
Dylan Rose I mean like....stadium huge. these guys should be playing in arenas and stadiums.
because it's a pretty new band.. but they're doing fuckin great,
don't worry.. if they keep like this they will be huge in a very short time.
Alejandro Arriagada Oh yeah. I can't WAIT for their new album.
There are many bands with a similar sound. If you're not more original you get lost in the mix.
Has nothing to do with being good or bad.
46:58 gives me chills everytime, amazing album!
I don't think bands like this actually exist on this planet. Some alien species comes down to upload their music to UA-cam with the only intention of shaming us Earth musicians.
I am really confused as to how anyone could dislike this....
Diffrent music taste maybe? LOL
Didn't expect too much at the start, but as soon as it got into it, it was like "wtf why can't I stop listening? No. Seriously. I physically can't stop. Help."
Between this CD and the new Infant Annihilator CD we are in Technical Deathcore paradise this year!
a night in texas and angelmaker are also realising a split ep so even better
That is literally how I have felt listening to this.
Thanos Retsas I agree man
Mr. Stiglits Hugo yeah sadly i don't think they are dropping any singles
who gives a fuck tho 2 days to go!!!
18:23 this is my favorite part on the whole album, cant get enough of it
If another halo game is made, they need to be on the soundtrack
that first guttural "iiiiiit caaame" im dead
OH WOW! I Always click on random bands knowing theyre probably gonna suck but holy fuck I actually found something I will listen to for the rest of my life!!! WOW
I just evolved into my next form after this
This a pretty fun album. It's got a real sense of drama without being too cheeky.
Ok, I had to log in to comment. I'm 13 minutes and and I've never heard something so crisp and satisfying as this. It's amazing how influences from other bands shine through in the album, and at the same time it blows the bands it takes the influences from out of the water. I've been on the edge of my seat the last 13 minutes. There's no build up without a breakdown, there's no skipping a riff that I anticipate and want. It's all there. Oh and I'm pretty sure the band is Halo inspired which, come on, who doesn't love that. Shokrans new album better step it up. This is what Assemble the Chariots new stuff should have been. So glad came back to see what these guys were up to. Found an album that is going to be hard to top this year. Thought I was pumped listening to new After the Burial and Black Tongue. This has my jaw on the floor every 4 seconds. And those vocals are the rawest I've heard in forever. SO good.
Tyler Stewart seems like a common name. But, tell me, are you my amazing friend in Arizona? If so, fuck yeah! Cool running into you here! If not, fuck yeah! Good taste in music!
+Damon Koenig haha, thats not me, but that is the second time this year I have encountered someone who had a friend with my name. \m/
I am late to the party, but I am right there with you man. Their sound is so refreshing for me, this is everything I love about metal rolled up into one ball of raw energy and drive. This is actually my second time listening to this album today. I went from here to Reclaimer, and now I am back again. Reclaimer is fucking excellent too, if you have not listened to it yet.
worth logging in to drop this monster of a comment lol

Still can't decide if these are the best comments I've ever seen on UA-cam. Buncha metal nerds. SOI and Halo are sweet af.
Wow, I'm definitely not into deathcore but this is really really solid music !
Dimmu Borgir is the last place i would think of for a technical deathcore band to draw influence from, but they incorporate it impressively well. 10/10
Fuck, been a looooong time since I listened to some Demon Burger.
Baker 3
Dimmu Borgir is the last band in this solar system I would think bands would draw influence from tbh
these dudes are going to blow up
So much Halo lore... this is super impressive. Oh, and so is the music haha
this is literally the most perfect example of multiple influence metal meshed together, it flows perfectly and this is literally the most talented shit I have ever heard. my new favorite band! absolutely amazing!
wait wtf where have I been this whole time
2016... the fucking best year of Deathcore albums, VOID, Primordial, The Elysian Grandeval Galèriarch, Barton's Odyssey, THE DIALECTIC, JESUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS GREAT YEAR
I could still read the logo. Not brutal enough. :v
have you seen the Dying Fetus logo?
did you have seen paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis logo? lol
You scrub it's called. eximperituserqethhzebibsiptugakkathsulweliarzaxulum
55gore
could is still correct. nice try though.
This is one of if not the best deathcore albums I have ever I have ever heard; Massive and ambient production that truly makes it fit with the halo aesthetic, brilliant composition that makes it sound like it was written by the Didact himself, brutal breakdowns that sound like an entire planet being glassed, Incredible vocal variety as if every species in the covenant army was in this band of only two people, and riffs that give Pantera a run for their money.
I headbanged so hard, and I never headbang...
Damn this is probably as good technical death metal/deathcore gets
AntiGravity Yandere face as profile pic? Neat.
Not while Incurso is still an album
Incurso re-organized my mind into what it is today.
Sharp oatmeal.
Shred-rrific work guys
It's been a long time since I've heard an album like this.
Phenomenal guitars, Drums, Bass, AND vocals. Not to mention my favorite part, the Ambience.
Buying ASAP :)
Lmao I see you in just about every video I click on.
SAIYANLINEAGE \\\\\\\\ Agreed...I too am part Saiyan.
Wtf i've found you again on the metal part of youtube wtf lol XD
for real this is one of the best impressive releases as well as original and yes the damn ambiance. I love bands who can actually capture some sort of emotion as opposed to these monotone deathcore chug core bands.
wth is goin on here when i saw her commenting on the 23491249123593 time i started to search for crazy sick deathcore bands like those and see if shes on the commants and she just wont go away how is taht possible wtf
Halo-core.
Shadow of intent is easily my favorite deathcore band. i still remember when i was barely getting into deathcore and randomly put their "Reclaimer" album while working and i fell in love
I just love ❤ 😍 it for real when any death metal or death core band writes a masterpiece record 🤔 🤧 😤 ✨ 😌 😪 I can't explain the chills I get from listening too any bands kick ass .music
So this is what happens when you pay attention in math class. Legit.
It's 3 am at night.
Normally I wouldn't be able to listen to death metal. But this is spot on man. Thanks for sharing.
deathcore please....
one of the best Deathcore bands right now.
I am super late to this party, but I'm in no way a death core fan by any stretch of the imagination.. so its hard for me to critique.... I usually cant stand this music for more than a song or two.. but something inside me refused to quit listening... I can barely understand the lyrics... but the guttural screams are tremendous... the guitar playing/arrangements is skillfully awesome, and the pedal work on the drumming should be given a grammy all on its own. I am still not a fan of this genre of music, but Shadow of Intent has at least kept me listening longer than any band in this genre like ever... I will not hate on fans of this genre of music, I think music like this should be respected and admired because its fucking hard as hell to play this good, this fast, and this clean. \m/
We descend through the fucking burning skies.
Solid album. I hear a ton of Heaven Shall Burn at 6:48 - so awesome.
Wtf now I finally get why it was so familiar to me.. really similar sound! Thanks
6:49 is so amazing for such a simple riff. 🎧👍
Man, I'm really diggin Shadow. Cant get enough. Thanks for Upload bro, really.
Ben, Chris, and Matt are some of the most talented musicians I've heard on the east coast for their young age. Matt (drums) and I worked together for a few years in a NY based band, Towers. My homies are killin it.
great vocals. highs and lows, both skilled
This is so much fun. lots of melodies, the variation is immense. great work.
Phenomenal work. Thank you for the upload
6years has passed since I found this gem an it still slaps like a dab
If you love rings of Saturn like I do this is right up your alley. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼😎
This whole record is just pure magic from beginning to end! Much to my surprise, these guys are local talent where I live. After hearing this, they've definitely earned a lifelong supporter for sure!
The battle of the maginot sphere woke me up from a dead sleep it was so brutal 🤘😠🤘
Halo Anyone?
Ordered the physical of this, can't wait!
Some of the best progressive death metal I have heard in awhile.
Ben's such a cool guy, saw him with his old band In Depths and Tides and while i'm bummed he's not with them anymore i'm hyped he's working on getting a full lineup for shows!
Holy shit this is not your average deathmetal/deathcore band. The melodic parts, solo's, breakdowns and just the writing is ethereal and creative.
The twin revelation is the best song I think, mixing all the crazy guturals with a little of clean vocals is awesome.
so much work goes into something like this. its a shame they dont have millions of views at least for the music
This is insane. Excellent production. I'm also hearing elements of other bands in this.
First time listening , the album is very special . nice work!
Much much better than I expected, this stuff is actually very refreshing!
They've come a long way since this album, but it's still good to listen to. 2016 was a goldmine for deathcore albums.
I think 2016 where the greatest times of deathcore by far.
Yeah... But Mark Of the Blade also came out that year 😬😬
@@Jerrremy This album and The Elysian Grandéval Galériarch are compensation
UA-cam randomly started playing this for me. Glad it did. New band to check out, already texted a few friends to check this shit out. Brutal. Love getting my face unexpectedly melted at work. \m/
after listening to this like 3 times I gotta say this might just be my favorite tech death album
Discovered this album 3 weeks ago and I've listened to it well over 40 times, or on average twice a day. I can't stop listening to it, with the sole exception of the Twin Revelation. I can't get into the cleans on that track, even though the concept of it is very cool. Otherwise, every listen through there's a new intricacy I missed before, or I headbang so fucking hard that I need to play it again or actually listen to it. Incredible album.
The name takes me back to the expansive lore of Halo.
Alex Lofing that would be because its a halo refrence. Every song on the album is as well
This whole album is about the Forerunner- Flood war in halo
this band is amazing, truly one of the best in the genre in my opinion.
Honestly, this album kept me from going to work on time lol. This is an amazing album. A masterpiece.
The last minute of "The Cosmic Inquisitor" gets me every time. Holy fuck, that outro scream, and those instrumentals. Just perfect.
I just fucking love this album
them spooky keys are nice, ominous & heavy
I bought this album just after half part of the first song heard. Waiting for the CD and listening to the whole album here. Darn, I am not going to be disappointed buying the CD with just one song heard before.
Just the sound I was looking for.
i needed this in my life
I would love to see a drum cam for this entire album.
+Jacob Jeans Its a laptop.
I would as well. However, the band consists of only 2 members: the vocalist, and the guitarist/programmer. Such immense quality from this duo!
Bravo, another person makes an ignorant comment about the drums being programmed. News flash: Not everyone has a drummer, but that shouldn't stop people from creating music man. Such a silly mentality. Also, I'm listening to this on high quality headphones, the drums sound absolutely fuckin fine.
+Dylan Rose I agree, this drumming is honestly some of the most enjoyable work I've heard in a while.
They have a drummer now! They've even posted a play through of "The Battle of Maginot Sphere" on Facebook.
Fantastic
I am ordering the Physical of this!! Finally!! Something new!! This is incredible! A new direction to metal. Never heard a band like this. I can definitely hear influences, but this is pure organic music to my ears
reeeeeuploaaaad this amazing work, enjoy, subscribe, share
+Death Metal / Deathcore Album´s I literally listen to this band every day since I stumbled upon it/them on your channel... Thank you!! \m/
i do the same i found them through spotify and do not regret it
Have to agree "Epic" band... \m/
thx a lot for uploading this amazing piece of work. cant stop listening - only found them thanks to you!

This band is ferkin magnificent !
Too amazing
Forerunner lore in this band I fucking love it! HALO BABY
Such a fucking slaughter, man. This album is just fucking out of this planet. Fucking br00tal. Epic stuff.
bravo !!!!! magnifique, et le temps des cathédrales aussi !!!!
One of the greatest albums I've dam near ever heard. Absolute fucking masterpiece.
I've never clicked a notification so fast.
this is amazing ! Something different in a very good way
The solo/outro on the first track reminds me alot of Iron Maiden.
I personally got the black dahlia murder-i will return vibes from it.
Pleasant surprise, good metal albums are rare these times, this is right up there with Ultu Ulla :)
new favorite band
Can't believe I passed this album for so long.
Has sounds from various bands. I like it
Can't get enough
4:02 Reminded me of Ihsahn on Nightside. Very powerful vocalist
This is so good. Dont know how they will top this album but will see.
I've seen this video on youtube hundreds of times but never actually gave it a fair listen...and damn I am blown away. Kind of reminds me of the raven autarchy.
