- Aston Villa faced a huge test vs Bournemouth this weekend in the Premier League. After competing in 4 games in 10 days across the league and the Europa Conference League, Villa have been pushged to their limits. Unai Emery has came in for lots of praise this season and Andoni Iraola was always going to be a tough opponent. In this video I analyse Aston Villa v Bournemouth. Moussa Diaby, Leon Bailey & Ollie Watkins have begin to really, no REALLY gel as we also see Youri Tielemans excel.

40 years of hurt as a Villa fan but Unai Emery has killed my lifelong gloominess about our chances so - we will continue to pick up points where it has previously seemed impossible we only need 70/71 points most likely

Spurs have got a hard run and I expect them to drop points as well. I honestly think Villa will keep this up and if we beat Chelsea next week then I’ll be happy.

It seems that many people, pundits especially, do not seem to realise that one of Spurs' games in hand is against Man City. That's a tough fixture for ANY team. Furthermore, they've still go to play Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool away (and Sheffield Utd too) with Man City and Burnley their final two home games so their fixtures aren't exactly easy. Villa on the other hand have Chelsea and Liverpool at home and Brighton and Crystal Palace away. Villa also have 6 points more than Spurs already on the board so I know which fixtures I'd rather be facing.
I would rather have the points on the board. Its going to be very difficult for spurs to catch us .its possible but very unlikely. With man City.liverpool .arsenal. and Chelsea to play. Very hard run in .VTWD.SOTC

I'd like 7, i think we need 7. 5 is more likely but that'll probably require Spurs to have a rough run against the Sky6 teams to get us 4th spot and CL.
Good analysis but I think you’re downplaying just how good Rogers was. Easily the best villa player in the first half and I’d have him 2nd after Watkins for the whole game. He was always picking up the ball and getting it forward and was vital to the first 2 goals and involved in the 3rd
I've been very impressed with him, didn't mean to downplay him, just don't want to jump the gun. He's looking a TOP pick up 👌
I reckon we need 4 more points. Can't see Spurs getting more than 9. I would be comfortable if we get 6 or 7 though - Don't want it going to the last day.
Now you've said it,spurs have 2 games in hand maybe 1 of them they slip up,then we've just gotta match their results.
