Finding the sweet spot is trial and error talaga. PSI, hammercspring tension, and valve spring tension. I watched a video on youtube na ang sweet spot ay nama maintain ng AG ang MV na almost constant. Meaning minimun spread and standard deviation. Patiently waiting in the production line .... Sana mag December na hehehe.
It's a GCMAG airgun bro. Gilbert Felipe of Tarlac City in Luzon made it. He has three models of these GCMAGs, which are very popular among BR competition shooters. You can contact him via FB Messenger bro. You can also message Felipe Gcmag on FB Messenger for the current prices and details.
@@therandomcarpenter6810 Nasa pagka chamber ng barrel yan sir. Baka ang ginamit sa pag chamber JSB pellet. You need to resize the astro to 5.51 or 5.52mm.
I used Astro pellets (18.40 to 18.60 grains). The reg was set at 1900 psi when I received the unit early this year but never tried to adjust the hammer spring to the max. With JSB jumbo heavy pellets, I immediately adjusted the velocity to just a little above 800 pfs at that time.
Ah, I also got my unit at 1900ps reg pressure and shooting at 890 fps on a jsb 18.13. I havent had the courage to adjust the reg pressure yet hehe but adjusted the hammer spring and now shooting at 913 fps. I was planning to adjust it to around 930-940 fps using jsb 18.13 (since my purpose is for hunting) but to go to that MV would have a very high tension on the hammer spring which might result in higher recoil as well. so for now Im good with the current settings
@@michaelacosta1821 Recoil is not a problem with the max hammer spring tension. Even the sound or decibel it produced (as shown in the video) with low MV and highest MV had no significant difference. Same case with the recoil (or perhaps I just didn't notice it).if you are content with your current settings and MV, there's no need to tinker with the reg setting. Curious at pakialamero kasi ako kaya binubusisi ko usually mga pag-aari ko hehe. If I could no longer make it work, I can always bring it to the maker or to any legit and competent smiths hehe.
That may be the case when at 1500 psi reg pressure, but it maybe a different case at 1900 psi reg pressure. Since it will require more strength/ power from the hammer to open the valve. Only way to find out is really to test hehe.
ganda talaga gc mag (gilbert custom made air gun) iba talaga craftmanship..
