I love how humanity is so incorporated with dogs they are making robots based on them. We are so close to this species, hundreds of years of working together and cooperation, too the point the robot version will potentially help us discover life on other planets. Not a human robot, but a dog, a companion, a helper, to help us take a step into humanity’s next great era.
I dont have any background in robotics but I would suggest something. Spot or your robots could be equipped with an antenna droper. In case the signal gets weak due to spot being in a tunnel or a hard to reach area spot would drop a signal amplifier then continue its journey in the cave and if the signal gets weak it drops another signal amplifier... I hope I made a positive suggestion :)
