  • Welcome to Raycom TV!
In this video Tom is joined by Pyers, our inveterate RF Guru, to discuss the Wisycom LFA antenna - a firm favourite here at Raycom for good reason!
The Wisycom LFA Remote Controlled Wideband Active Antenna is a directional antenna with a unique design to achieve an ultra-wideband of 410-1300 MHz, a compact and rugged form factor and reduced wind resistance.
The LFA integrates a unique bank of filters along with a low noise amplifier. Filters and gain can be easily setup locally through 4 key navigation buttons and a TFT display - or remotely with a data connection on the same RF coaxial cable.
Using the latest Wisycom filter technology, the LFA gives full control of RF zones and allows you to build flexible and remote controllable antenna systems.

Awesome video how far would the range be if you used the LFA on a walk test compare to the sharkie antennas ?

Stupid question. How do you power the LFA. I see just the BNC connector. Can the MRK16 drive it?

Hi there, the LFA does require power which the MRK16 will do. You can also do this with a Bias Tee as well most antenna distribution amplifiers. Hope this helps!
