Dreamcast's Spawn in the Demon's Hands was pretty fun
Absolute blast on the original arcade cabinet.
It's one of my favorite Dreamcast games ever.
I purchased it randomly and I'm super glad I did.
Yeah, this dude is tripping! The one on the dreamcast is an awesome game. Was one of my favs growing up.
Don’t forget Spawn Armageddon for the PlayStation 2!
@@YaowBucketHEAD I did that with PS1 Spider-Man. Classic.
8:02 "Infinitely more successful in it's *X-ecution* ."
I see what you did there...
Fantastic video Sir, really enjoyed it! Great topic to cover too!
The Spawn arcade game was pretty good I will say, Capcom even rehashed it into a Heavy Metal arcade game.
Ugh. This guy again...
Thanks, Larry! Glad you liked it.
@@PanelstoPixels No worries, I've subbed to you, so lookign forward to seeing what you've got planned next! :)
@@PanelstoPixels Please make Russian subtitles! and check the original subtitles of youtube did not write them correctly, I really want to watch your video!🙌🙌🙌
@@alecaquino4306 my sentiments exactly
Todd's GOT to let someone ELSE direct Spawn!
Cough cough spawn movie 1997 cough cough
He's never gonna get it done. He's been saying that shit for years now
Unfortunately, that's never going to happen because Todd McFarlane is a huge control freak.
It’s His Character He Has The Right🤷🏽♂️😂😂
Spawn: Armageddon was pretty decent and enjoyable
There was a cancelled Atari Jaguar game for the Image Comic title, "Maxx", and it seemed to play like a pretty cool isometric sidescroller with plenty of animations for when the player would get trapped and such.
Could've been one of the only good Jaguar games, oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
How much better could this video be? And the answer is, none. None more better.
It could be better, any video on UA-cam could be done better. Stop with this false support.
11:07
I've never heard of Shadow Hawk so as a novice he looks kinda like a more metal Wolverine. I've got to look into him.
It's cheap, trashy fun but I love it.
its interesting while wildcats are the worst characters, they have definitely had the best comic runs, with writers such as alan moore, joe casey, warren ellis and artists like travis charest and sean phillips coming though the reins, definetly the best stuff to come out of the classic image years.
I really enjoy the content of this channel! I'd really like to see you do a video about the original GameBoy Spider-Man trilogy. Keep up the great work
Good suggestion. I'm not too clued up on handheld stuff but I still have my old Game Boy.
That run cycle in The Eternal...XD
Excellent video, wish this channel had thousands of views. Also wish you’d covered another PS1 game based on Image Comics - Danger Girl! At least it got released, if nothing else. (And indeed, it lacks much else going for it.)
I remember loving Spawn: Armageddon for the PS2
"Spawn in the demon's hand" was underrated. It WAS the BEST Spawn game. (Still got it 4 my DC)
😊
Capcom made a pretty cool Spawn game for the Dreamcast. But if I recall it didn’t have much to do with anything and was just a third person competitive shooter with spawn character skins. Beats the hell outta that PS1 game you showed though.
Thank you guys for giving a shit about your audience. Hard to find so much detail in a channel.
Keep it the FFFFFFFFFFFF up!
Great vid!
Thanks!
@2:22 are you suggesting that Chris Claremont co-founded Image Comics? Because he didn’t . He intended to write a book for Image in the early days, but that plan wouldn’t pan out until several years later.
I was a huge Shadow Hawk fan , obviously
Tom McFarlane's Spawn is the only thing that was great about Image Comics during the 1990s. Rob Liefeld's Youngblood, Bloodstrike and Supreme series had really bad designs with the concepts of big guns and terrible body proportion. Liefeld was with Marvel Comics had also designed Captain America in a Arnold Schwarzenegger way.
maximum carnage is in my heart and soul for ever, from everlasting to everlasting.
Didn’t PS2 have a Spawn game? I’d be cool to have a video from Panels that covers all spawn games
@13:30 , You talk about the "MTV Generation" and at the same time that you mention it, the girl on screen is clearly a copy of MTV VJ "Duff" and you didn't notice.
Serendipity at its finest.
That side of humility by diving into the shitpost.. i like it, but dont do it too often lol.
10:43 what kind of sucker would buy not one but TWO of copies of that shiny comic!! ME!! AND I STILL HAVE THEM!!!
Spawn 300 is $7.99? Is that the normal price for a comic these days? Holy shit.
They probably don't sell a lot of copies these days, physically.
I have no idea what they cost digitally but I'd hope it's a lot less than that.
I had that spawn game for snes as a kid, I could never get much past the first boss, “the redeemer”.😁
Although it wasn’t early in Image, The Maxx was my favorite to come out from them
I was soooooo hooked on his cartoon
Dammit Maximum Carnage!!!
Hey man just Wondering if you are well because of the current global situation
All good, thanks. Staying inside and keeping busy. How are you doing?
@@PanelstoPixels fine bored out of my mind was checking UA-cam for awesome channels videos to watch like your channel been doing a marathon of the mcu and the fox X-men movies and other movies like terminator, predator, robocop etc
@@isinganddootherthings4616 Glad to hear it. Hope my videos help relieve the boredom. Stay safe, bud!
Shut up about the goddamn "global situation".
@@isinganddootherthings4616 do you ask every UA-camr you watch the same question? Why? To start such an awkward conversation with them?
Hey at least the 2 The Darkness games were great and The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners is a revelation for VR games
I really hope the algoritm promotes this channel more, what an absolute gem!
I can't believe you missed the best one of all, Dangergirl on the PS1. At the time DG was from Cliffhanger Comics which was a part of WildStorm which of course is under the Image umbrella.
Hey.
Spawn: Armageddon was awesome.
i played the heck out of soul caliber
no danger girl ps1 game?
2000s game, maybe in a part 2!
@@PanelstoPixels hark! thouest demand a more accurate title to this video. Grab the pitchfork and tar and feathers!

The darkness games are amazing i hope that one day they make the darkness 3.
10:11 nah hes notable because hes the "black vigilante that has aids"
What’s amazing about it spawn is not alone in his battles there for British Todd McFarlane I know some of the copyright issues caused unnecessary break ups that one day I hope they’ll get fully over with and that they like marvel get there entirely sold off products back in there main library 📚 the Seven as they called them the spawn the wildcats the youngbloods the savage dragon THE NIGHTHAWK THE GEN13 And THE DARKNESS AND WITCH BLADE IVE READ A BIT OF ALL OF THEM PROBABLY WITH THE DARKNESS FIRST THOUGH IF WAS SPAWN THAT I HEARD OF FIRST THEN TBE WILDCATS THEN THE SAVAGE DRAGON ALL OF THESE CHARACTERS HAVD CLASHED AND TEAMED UP AT VARIOUS TIMES AS A RESULTED A BETTER ROUNDED SQUAD OF CHARACTERS I DONT KNOW MAN AS USUALLY IM A OUTSIDER LOOKING IN A FAN NAF AND PRETTY MUCH A LOST BUT FOUND ONE THING IS CERTAIN THIS PLACE WOULD IS USUAL
Tinnitus from cross hatching?
Tendonitis.
Mate, you cannot tell me that WildC.A.T.S. was more boring/shit than Youngblood.

Thanks! Yeah, I think I went a bit hard on WildC.A.T.s in this one. They're OK, I guess...
@@PanelstoPixels lmao all good I'm not a huge fan of them either and your pretty much right about them. Being xmen light. Just thought it was funny lmao
Spawn the Eternal sucked but IMO it is nothing close to Superman 64 levels of bad.
There's nothing terrible about the shadowhawk game
It's cheesy fun just like the comic, I guess.
Seems maybe you're a marvel boy and dont like Image. WILD CATS, spawn, savage dragon, tmnt! The best... but their games.... well like every other 90s game they were copies of other games. Thats the 90s bro! Lol nice video
TMNT was Mirage Studios, not Image.
Cool video, as always! Love your take on these games, and have come to value your opinion.
And no... You don't look like an ugly woman.
Stay safe, Dude. :)
Thanks dude, that means a lot! You too.
that Dragon character and show is so lame with that jazz on his head
I'm happy Spawn Armageddon wasn't on here. The game was definitely not perfect, but it was loads of fun
I just subbed and this is the first video I watched !!
Hopefully you make enough on this vid to buy the sealed Shadow Hawk on eBay for 550$ 👌🏽🙏🏽
Ha, here's hoping! Thanks for subscribing, I really appreciate that.
Spawn
For kids?
I like the video but disagree I enjoyed the game?
I hate these stupid, angsty, juvenile 90s comics.
We both know that if any of those Spawn games were remastered we would be refreshing our browsers during the Limited Run Games campaign.
Spawn: In the Demon Hand was awesome
Where is Spawn: In the Demon's Hand or Spawn: Armageddon?
I was wondering the same thing. Armageddon was fun in my memory
I was thinking the same thing considering that Armageddon came out after Soulcalibur 2...
Because they're not terrible
I love Mutant Apocalypse. All the Capcom licensed titles on SNES were pretty great.
Yes!! Mutant Apocalypse and War of the Gems are two of my all-time faves.
Man I am absolutely loving this channel. Really takes these deep dives into places other channels just can't seem to reach.
Thanks, glad you like it!
Yes! So much research and effort. It is criminal he has so little subscribers.
@@tf5463 I agree.
That's not even true. Other channels do this exact same thing, you just haven't found them yet.
@@tf5463 No, no it isn't.
"Wildcats are a bit shit"
And you lost me.
Joe Casey's run in the early 2000s rules.
the old spawn game was fire and so was the dreamcast one
'threaten us with a remaster'
I loved that line.
I think Spawn deserves to get a good modern game like Spider-Man and the Arkham series
Thank you so much for making these videos. They always brighten my day-even talking about lousy games, you have a loving tone. The channel is just always so pleasant to visit.
Wow, thanks! This comment has made my day. Glad I can help!
The fuck?
It is a shame that only The Darkness games (both on Xbox 360 and PS3) and Spawn (PSOne and the original Xbox console) no other Image property were made into a video game. I would love to play a WILDCATS, Youngblood or perhaps even a Witchblade video game on previous, current or perhaps even the next gen consoles...Kinda wish they had more love than just Spawn and The Darkness.
We're just gonna forget Spawn in Demon's Hand? In my opinion it's the best Spawn game from the 90's.
I loved Marvel, Image & DC (in that order) in the 90s, so w/ a few tweaks & some remastering, I wouldn't mind playing any of these games on modern consoles. That WildCATs game looks to be the most promising, they just need to: make it co-op, have additional playable characters (i.e. Grifter, Voodoo, Zealot & even Void), & give them more powers/moves.
Isn't "The Darkness" a Top Cow property?
Kaan Ünal yes
Yes but initially published under Image. I guess it's only tangentially an Image game because of the Silvestri connection.
@@PanelstoPixels Thanks! I just checked it and you're right. My bad.
I was just thinking of Spawn the Eternal yesterday. Game wasn't great... but i loved Spawn so much i played the ever living hell out of it. Though i couldn't get past Medieval Spawns area.
I always thought the guys at Santa Monica Studio should take a crack at Spawn, with what they've done with God of War in the past, i feel like they'd do him some justice.
Honestly, seeing how badass the Spawn model in Mortal Kombat 11 is, I'd take ANY modern Spawn game. A God of War style romp through Hell would be awesome.
@@PanelstoPixelsFacts💯Or Spider man & Batman Style Gameplay🔥🔥
almost every cartoon and game was a glorified toy commercial in the late 80s and 90s
Dude ! What about Spawn on Dreamcast and I believe XboX?
You don't say shit about Wildcats! I still like you though...
No but seriously, I always loved that series (especially the cartoon). There's one thing I can agree with you, the SNES game is shit.
Knowing what we know about Tommy Tellarico, he probably had nothing to do with the music.
No Spawn Armageddon on the PS2?
Not a 90s game. Maybe a part 2 one day...
Hey, who you calling a fragile player?!
I would like to do a part 2 that covers the 00s games at some point. I also missed off Spawn for the GBC because I don't really do much handheld stuff. We'll see if I get round to it.
Wasn’t there a The Maxx game that never got past the prototype stage?
The best Spawn game was "Spawn: in the demons hand" for the Sega dreamcast.
That & Spawn Armageddon Both Are🔥🔥💯
Here I was thinking I'd be all snooty and tell you that there was a cancelled ShadowHawk game. As if!
Many mediocre Spawn games? He's only had 5 games in general lol.
And all of them were mediocre.
@PanelstoPixels I definitely wouldn't say that. The Super NES version was OK, it was the controls that were terrible to pull off moves and they could have eased up on the difficulty at times as it felt cheap. Spawn In The Demons Hand on Dreamcast was fun as hell.
Last time I checked that James Rolfe would disagree about Spawn Armageddon and the Dreamcast game being mediocre 😉
@@jediknightgeo& Spawn Armageddon Is It The Best Of Course Not But Definitely Had A lot Of Redeeming Qualities💯🔥
You mention Spawn on the SNES being "the best Spawn game" and then you didn't even cover Spawn: Armageddon or Spawn: In The Demon's Hand which are both pretty great Spawn titles. (Also my money for best Spawn game is on ITDH but that's just my opinion).
Eh... SNES is still the best, if you ask me.
Hey. Panels to Pixels! Have you played any of the Christopher Nolan tie in games? I believe the only two I played was Batman Begins for PS2, and the mobile game for The Dark Night Returns.
Shadow Hawk aka Not Wolverine
Dude @17:03 you literally unlocked a memory from my childhood that I didn't even know existed. That arm advertisment haunted me as a kid when I saw it in a video game magazine but I had a morbid obsession with it as well lowkey. Didn't even know what game it was for.
Wildcats was never shit
My little brother doesn't know the pre arkham world, where almost every licensed game ranged from unplayable, to at the best mediocre. Most often just terrible.
You didn't do a great job explaining why that last Spawn game was bad... I kinda wanna play it now...
Oh man, I may have to hunt down that Shadowhawk rom. He was always my favorite of the Image characters. I also get distracted by shiny covers.
I never really owned any image comics other than the walking dead, spawn had that killer HBO show tho ran 3 seasons, cool that they give the creators full rights to their creations but I always preferred dark horse to image. Great vid guy, I see the effort u put into your videos😁
The guy wearing the Malcolm X hat is so nineties! Bootleg caps and bootleg clothing!
This video should be called “Image comics videogames that were never published”
This is such a great video, loved it!
Thanks, Owen! Means a lot.
Didn't know there were attempts to get a Gen 13 game off the ground
Great stuff as always! Fun Spawn SNES fact: It was copublished by Sony Imagesoft (with Acclaim). Probably the last Sony game published for a non-PlayStation console. Also, I think it deserves a lot of credit for feeling like a new Spawn story that I think could have been an actual issue (minus Billy Kincaid, who should have been dead). You didn’t get that very much at that time in comic games, so much as you got levels taped together by strings of rogues gallery characters without much thought as to why.
Oh, and you forgot to mention Not Jean Grey chiming in all the time. 😀
Damn, how did I miss that?!
Soul calibur 2 was in 2002 and Spawn Armageddon was 2003
spawns been done dirty in other media other than comic books
Dude i love Rob Liefeild comics and characters man, I really do.
We need a image comics PITT game or invincible game
17:27 Wait a minute. How did you find out my oddly specific way of playing Doom on the SNES?
Shadow hawk were some of my fave childhood comics, so rad : D
Spawn Armageddon was pretty badass for PS2
