I purchase one with Original Floyd Rose. Thoughts, I actually hate the neck. Just not smooth. Yes they say good wood, but feels like cheap Epiphone. Fender Professional much better neck. The guitar with the Floyd Rose is surprising heavy, I did not expect that. Really heavy almost as heavy as my 59 Custom Les Paul. I also not like the Turtle shell pickguard (no problem, I will update to black, if I can find one somewhere. ) Saying that, where can I get a Black Pickguard please. It does sound lovely, but does not sound and feel like a 5K guitar. I regret getting it, but hey, I need to just get used to it, that is the problem ordering custom.
I built a, HSH parts caster from parts ordered from the internet. I can garuntee my strat is every bit as goodm with some extra features like alder sunburst body a rolling nut & Bridge saddles, locking tuners, scalloped rosewood fretboard on maple neck with kumbo nickel steel frets. My guitar looks, feels plays and sounds great The biggest difference is my guitar cost less than $400.00 and the ESP is $5200.00. What a rip-off.
I agree that the cost of this guitar does not reflect the cost of parts, and even I would hesitate at something this price, but you're paying for parts and expertise with the luthiers at ESP, not to mention labour costs. This ESP will likely hold value when sold. If I were looking for parts, I'd imagine myself paying close to $400 just for pickups. In fact, the flicker-iii bridge alone costs around $400. I'd imagine ESP (original/custom) uses high-quality stable pieces of wood, and the nicer tops they reserve for the upper lines probably cost a good amount too. As an example, Kiesel charges a couple hundred for figured tops. The difference is that you built yours to a budget and the ESP with a different budget. Yes, your guitar is better value for money, but I don't think it's really too appropriate to compare the two guitars.
I purchased ESP Snapper around month ago. I am so impressed i just purchased another. I got Gibson 59 custom and Fender custom. Both around £7,000. So i am in position to compare and let me tell you the ESP quality is 10times better. I cannot explain it. You need to see/play one to understand
I❤the guitar.
I’ve got one for sale on Reverb, barely played, for about $1000 less than the typical new price. Indigo purple
can't beat that! We had a purple one in at the same time, was slightly heavier, both great guitars!
I'd rather have the floyd rose, ??? thoughts please
I like the flicker III personally, Floyd would take this into the stratosphere!

do you!
Right, you’re as good a builder as the people making guitars in the ESP Custom Shop. Sure buddy. I’m embarrassed for you that you put this out there.
