I was in a business for 45 years and learned over and over, provide value to the customer. Your videos are definitely doing that for the Kubota family. That is why I do business with you. Thanks so much.
I've had a Sawhaul for over a year and it's been worth its weight in gold. It's very easy to install and it keeps your saw safe and secure and available at your finger tips.
I made my own out of a HDPE cutting board and mounted it to the front grille guard on our green 5320. I thought about mounting it to the side of the loader, but we bush hog trails and stuff that are tight and thick with briars and branches that would grab it pretty bad. There is plenty enough room out of / rear of the loader RoM for my 372XP or my 572XP in it, and the loader protects it from branches and such. We literally just keep my 571 on it all the time, because it's so handy.
When I mow edges next to thick brush I tend to put the left side of the tractor next to the thick brush. I mounted my SawHaul on the right side instead to avoid my saw getting racked with limbs, etc., and I encountered no interference with the loader valve or hoses. It's not quite as convenient when getting on and off the tractor, but I see little difference given i have to get down and cut something anyway.
Neil, after watching this I showed it to the wife. I guess she ordered it for me for Christmas cause there was a Messicks box on the doorstep when I got home before her. Can’t wait to put it on the Mx4800!
I've purchased 3 of these. 2 are welded to my loader arms of my L3430 and I also installed one on my SxS. I love them since I had always struggled to find a place to carry them into the woods when I had forks on. The downside of them is the top flange edge of the scabbard part has broken on all 3 of them. Hasn't changed performance so far, but is starting to look ragged.
Great video, as always! One question; I'm not sure why you'd want to mount it on the left side. My thinking is, that's the ingress / egress side, and if the Saw Haul impedes that in any way, why not mount it on the right side? Generally, I'm not taking the saw in and out of the scabbard many times while I'm using it, but the mounting hardware will be in the way all the time. Just wondering about this. Thanks.
This thing is way expensive for what it is. It looks like it sits in front of the grease points. The scabbard only works for bars of a particular length. I'm pretty sure a saw will wear through the scabbard before too long. I think a folding cargo carrier is much better. Cheaper. Not in the way of maintenance operations. Works with any saw, and it will hold anything else that fits in it. You can only use it when your receiver is available, however.
@@minnesotaoliveranddeere5919 Have you tried Ebay and just Googling around? Lots of old parts available here and there. There is a place near Harrisburg, PA that is a huge salvage yard for used lawn and garden tractor parts. They may have the part you are looking for or have a lead to a source. Haldeman Supply (717) 957-3300.
Parts lookups all begin with the machine itself, not the engine. The engine companies don't track how the manufacturers use their engines. So it depends on what it is.
Other than ruining your bar and chain, that is a brilliant idea. Why didn't anyone else think of that? Hey I have another great idea, just tie your chainsaw to the back of the tractor using rope and drag it along. Problem solved.
I made my own out of HDPE cutting board, and with the cutting board and all the hardware, not counting the couple hours of time I had in it, it was probably around $50.

Thanks for the business. You'll like it. I was just using mine this last weekend.
Just what I was looking for. Thanks Neil for the advice about the ROPS mount, good advice.

Oh that's pretty cool. Thanks for showing us that Neil. And yeah, that's a damn fair price for what you're getting.

You can tell Neil’s a young feller. Squattin’ like that would kill my knees. 🤠
I turn 40 Thursday....
“Neil from Messicks here today to tralk to you about a sessary for your talkter” 😂
Hi great videos I have a b2650 with cab and want to get a backhoe would love to see your comments on this thanks great work
That's a pretty good price for what you get . Just making a mold for the plastic sleeve would cost a bundle for the manufacturer .

@ 4:15, you neglected the obligatory "That's not going anywhere"?!
Looks like a nice easy option for hauling a chainsaw!
How big of saw will it hold and can we get a video of removing the loader with it installed ?
removal is no different than it would be without it on there. Fits up to 20" bar.
@@MessicksEquip Thank you .
Cut the u bolt off so you don't get impaled or reck your favorite work clothes
@Kenneth Boyer a sawzall or even just a hack saw would work equally as well
Neil, is there any reason this wouldn't work on a cab tractor, specifically the L3560 LE?
Works fine
Can you bolt this on kubota 3560?
Yes
I just ordered two
Will this fit ROPS on zero turn mowers? ..... like my z251???
yes
Hey Neil I was looking at one of these for a gift. Would this fit around the upright of an LA723? It looks tight on the LA534 you have there.
Yea, it should fit. You can return it if it does not.
Messick's valid point thank you.
dude!! Thanksgiving was good to you!
Any for a JD E180?
I have one on my tractor and I love it.
Very much worth it
Cool accessory if you use a chainsaw a lot.
Made my own
Do you guys stock parts for older kholer and Tecumseh engines? I need parts for project
You can go on the Messick's website and look up parts.
@@eosjoe565 yeah I don't know if they can find a starter from the late 60s

@@MessicksEquip that's the problem it's a 112 John deere and I don't think you do service for the green machine. I'll give you guys a call tomorrow.
Wow I cant believe the comments on the price. I hit my saw with a limb and the repair was $250.00...
neat little invention, pretty cheap too
You seem so unimpressed at 4:17...
4x6 timber. Plunge cut a slot with saw. Bolt timber to tractor in convenient spot. Problem solved.

@@sloppyjoe6243 how is that going to ruin a saw? Go back to the city.
Something for the suburbanite tractor weekend warrior geardos !
ouch $!
It's a lot cheaper than fixing a chainsaw you drove over. Happens a lot.
Ouch? Are you kidding? This is a pretty good deal. There is a well-known Kubota guy on UA-cam selling a similar item for $500 !!!
You could take a regular bar cover or some plywood and just make your own and bolt it on.
For $125 I would probably look at making my own first. It’s not a cheap item

ROPS. 🙄
So basically a saw scabbard and u bolt for 125$ ... plunge cut a 8/4 board 8” wide and buy a u bolt
too much money.
