Your hate on Armin is kinda ruining the reactions for me now. Like come on man, he's a 15 year old kid who lost his parents, his entire home, his grandfather and then watched his best friend get eaten alive. Dude is valid for being anxious and terrified. He's not a fighter, he's fighting for his friends and his innocent childish dream of seeing the outside world but lacks the bravery in terrifying situations which is completely understandable and relatable. I think you guys need to realize that this show isn't about being a hero it's about the real raw emotions of humanity and how each character handles living in a world like that. Not everyone is strong, in fact most people aren't and that's one of the things that make this show so good. It captures the realness of being weak and small in a cruel reality. It'd be really nice if you guys were more open minded about the "realness" of this show instead of expecting every character to be a hero because its an animated show. I'm really enjoying the reactions guys but please open your minds a little more.
I agree. The best characters in this show are the ones who show the rawness of humanity. I'd argue that Armin is braver/stronger than Eren or Mikasa because he is afraid and at a disadvantage but still pushes forward.
tbh, they didn't know anything that was just a genuine reaction and it's good to know that. As the story go further the role and personality of each characters.

You need to remember that they are facing death on a comparable situation to war. It is not about winning a game, it is being alive or devoured in a battle field.
The bravery action actually led Eren to the titan's mouth, lost a leg and all of that. I know that it is frustrating, but attack on titan got its fame because it is actually what would happen in a real life situation.
Just so you guys are aware - I would avoid searching up anything related to attack on titan, and be careful with the comments, as to avoid spoilers. I recommend you have someone moderate/put the comments through a filter to avoid spoilers.
Keep pumping these videos out though - They're awesome.
Also, regarding the soldiers, remember that they have literally never seen titans before. Like maybe from the top of the wall, but not up close. Only the survey corps combat them regularly and they left a few episodes ago outside the walls. So not only do the soldiers have zero combat experience with titans, their first experience was getting wiped and seeing their friends get eaten by those uncanny valley mfs. Obviously it's really frustrating seeing them so quick to give up, but it also shows really well how complacent the humans in the walls got and how unprepared they are. Really enjoying your reactions so far! Just make sure you guys don't burn out XD

- The military police: this is the one branch that you can only join if you're top 10
- The survey corps who venture outside the walls and fight titans.
- The garrison who guard the walls and do basically nothing lol
If you're not top 10 you can choose to join either the garrison or the survey corps. The majority of new soldiers want to join the garrison.. So yeah, no one really signed up to fight titans

That's what I said in my comment on the previous episode reaction, even a very emotional character like Eren can still use his brain at time like this to realize every risks and to realize that his own plan to go out by himself trusting his uncertain titan power is unrealistic anyways 😅, as Eren literally said there, he literally said his own plan is unrealistic. Just think, he just out of nowhere turned into a titan and not even concious about it, and just the 2nd time here he turns into a skeleton 😅, he can see that's a very uncertain power for the idea of surviving alone outside the wall 😅, that's why he trust Armin to decide
I get you hate to see weak characters, but I can't get how you not seeing it with logic when you're just a watcher 😅, snapping the loudest when Armin said there's no use to fight those armed people??? get your benefit as a watcher to see in a wider view bro, you're not the character inside the story 😭 how come you're the one who's not able to think logically 😭. Among these 3, Mikasa is the only character who lost her logic here by trying to threatening those armed people, understandable how she can't control her emotion anymore since she just got Eren back to life and ofcourse can't stand losing him again tho.

Since you'll be hitting the end of s1 soon it's time to consider the OVAs that came out between s1 and s2.
There are 8. You don't *have* to watch any of them but your experience with the series will be better if you watch some.
"Isle's Notebook" - I see this as essential viewing before s2. If you watch it after the end of the series, you'll kick yourself.
"No Regrets part 1 and 2" - Not essential but most people like to see this as it has Levi's backstory in detail.
"Distress" and "Sudden Visitor" - Fluff. For completists.
"Lost Girls, Wall Sina. goodbye part 1 and 2" - watch at any time after s1. you get more screen time for a popular character who doesn't get in the show enough. I liked it quite a bit.
"Lost Girls, Lost in the Cruel World" - an alt-history. What if the series had started different.

Elites of Garrison are not as good as Mikasa. Elites of Garrison are about as good as the average Survey Corp soldier. Survey Corp (guys who go outside the wall) are a different breed.
Depends, when it comes to defending the walls they definitely seem very capable, but for general titan killing, yes they are probably as good as or worse than Survey Corps soldiers.

Hey guys, another guy posted about the OVAs.
I have seen this show three times, and tmsome of his recommendations for watch order has spoilers.
There were three sets of OVAs each set has 2 to 3 episodes.
The sets are called
OVA 1
No Regrets part 1 and 2
Lost Girls OVA
The first set has 3 episodes. I will tell what order to watch them in the reply without spoiling anything.
The first episode of the first set is called Ilse's notebook. It must be watched after season 1, but if you want to be properly shocked and not be spoiled, by a crazy reveal then I recommend watching that episode after the first episode of the second season. The next two episodes of the first set, are like side stories, you won't miss anything story important by not seeing them, but I would recommend them because they develop the characters and show what the characters were doing between the time skip of episode 3 and 4. And gives character moment that the main show sacrifices to have a break neck, story pacing. You can watch both of these episodes anytime you want but I would recommend before season 2.
The next OVA set is 2 episodes called No Regrets part 1 and 2. It expands more about Levi's past. I would recommend watching it after season 2 and before season 3, because of the important characters of the first half of season 3 and how well it fits together.
The next set is 3 episodes called Lost Girls. I would recommend watching the entire thing between Season 3 part 1 and 2. Because that is the perfect place to watch them.

This is Not spoiler, I want to give you a bit information for a better understanding in the next episodes since you already see a glimpse of the Survey Corps members like Commander Erwin, Captain Levi, and the glasses titan maniac girl Hange zoe. It's about the rank of Command in Survey Corps/Scout Legion
You know already that there are 3 branch of military here which are Military Police, Garrison, and Survey Corps right? I want to focus on the Survey Corps. So here..
Erwin Smith is the Commander of Survey Corps, the branch of military that go outside the walls fighting and do research about Titan. Under Commander Erwin, there are 4 Captain which are Levi, Hange, Mike, and Ness. But Levi has different tittle than the other Captain, the other Captain being called Buntaichou (Section Commander), each of them leads a big Platoon that contains a couple of smaller teams, and each of the team has a Team Leader. But for levi, he is a Heichou (Captain) who leads only a small squad which is the Special Operation Squad/Elite Squad, so he's not the same as Buntaichou (Section Commander) but also not under any of Section Commander
Also remember to pay attention to their emblem on their uniform to understand who are they if you need it. Military Police has the horse emblem, Garrison has rose emblem, and Survey Corps has the wings emblem. And the trainees like Eren and friends here has the sword emblem in their uniform.
I'm glad you are enjoying the show but it is really hard to watch you bash Armin. Even the way you react to Jean is offputting. It's childish to only appreciate characters who are perfectly emotionless and badass in battle.
i get it but at the same time, my opinions are my opinions. Maybe ile like him in the end, maybe i wont, but I definitely am not gonna pretend I "understand what hes going through" in a video just to satisfy other peoples opinions. Other than that, thanks for the feedback! - Eoghan

@@NicAndEoghan No no no it's ok, you don't have to share emotion with the characters as like you understand what are they feelings, No you don't have to if you really just not having it for them. You just need to use more logic, because you will fail this entire show if you refuses to use your logic out of your own emotion, sorry but I still can't get over the fact that you failed to think logically that Armin totally right for telling Mikasa there's no use to threatening those armed soldiers who about to shoot them (bcs it will bring even more disadvantage) in the last episode 😭, that's the biggest point to notice that you're just too closeminded. Just please be more open minded to read situations in this show logically, because this is not a typical superhero movies, just put in your mind this is a fiction story but with a real life setting, just that, it's already more than enough.
I see a development tho, you guys even started to think how hard the 3D manuver gear would be and not everyone will be at the same level at mastering it, and that you can't just comparing these regular trainees who just finished their 3 years training, with Mikasa who clearly stated as the best trainee in the whole history of the military training there, or with more experienced soldiers with years of experience. Seeing you guys talk about that, that's a development of you guys! So yeah just always remember, however, this is a fiction story in a real life setting.

So many people here telling you what to feel is just ridiculous haha the show is setup this way so that different people would feel differently. There will be those that would like to fight, there are those would say well shit I understand that guy, I wouldn't wanna fight titans or go outside scouting as well. Captian Weilman/Woermann's actions and thinking is super real, we have those leaders that are super scared and instead of negotiating they just eliminate the threat. All emotions here are valid so just keep it up.
Also, most soldiers aim to be part of the Garrison (rose emblem) which only guards and maintains the walls, also sometimes referred as engineers, since only the top 10 can go the Military Police and very few people wants to be part of the Scouts.
Ian, Riko and Mitabi are part of the Garrison elites.
No actually most of people just hoping he can think a bit more about things in this show, just how you did there giving him more sight about what's actually those scaredy soldier expect in the first place. The glasses guy is good btw, he thinks, but the other one is way too close minded everytime, considering how this show work, moreover in the next episodes and seasons, I can't imagine how it would be if he stays like this, you sure this show designed to make people feel like this and like that? Not for people to think? Think about things people might never get to think in some cliche stories with a perfect protagonists vs perfect antagonists

Yes, different people can get different messages from the same work of fiction. But they are posting this online as a reaction to get other people to view it which means they do have an interest in what others think. And personally, I do not enjoy seeing two grown men act like little boys who see the world as "who's the strongest" and have zero emotional intelligence. I'll stop watching, and perhaps that won't matter. But if enough people are turned off by this and stop watching, it will matter. These are content creators and therefore the feelings of their audience does matter if they care about making a profit. And let's face it, that's what creating content is mostly about.
