We've had our red-lored Amazon (who is also named Rocky!) since 1988- he was about 4 years-old when we got him. He's a bit of a pill actually, but he *mostly* behaves for my wife
Our Amazon parrot held out the wings to get whet in the shower. For drying we used a hair dryer and the parrot held out the wings to get dry. It really enjoyd bathing procedure.
Great baby. I have a 20 year old Mitred Conure. She likes getting in her water bowl. My 27 year old cockatiel likes the mist bath. All different just like us. Yes after a bath they are shiny too
My conure,Jojo loves the shower...shower bird perch is the way to go ..When they get excited on your arm , flapping , opening their wings....the claws can dig in to your arm......
I'm jealous can you adopt me and my red lored I love your set up amd your dryer. I never knew such a thing existed. I shut all my doors and turn the heater way up to make sure they stay warm
He seems to enjoy the mist! Just wanted to let you know the extra two steps are unnecessary though, towel drying is unneeded it is distressing and it mess up the feathers, it is advised for bird to dry out naturally and preen themselves instead (that’s how they take care of it naturally, no extra work needed! 🎉). I got worried about spraying directly inside his beak like that though, it is good if he’s approaching it to drink some if he chooses to take sips, i feel like filling it with water as it is risky. shouldn’t be a risk of catching chills in nice room temperature, it takes about 15-30 minutes for feathers to be mostly dry, parrots bathe almost daily in the wild, including bathing in the rainy weather, so the can handle being wet naturally. the immune system is not going to suffer unless your bird has known health issues immune deficiency, parrots body should be able to self regulate their temperature in that time. I would just let him hang out by you and preen himself with you in the room (if you need to turn on AC that is more than advised), when you feel like he’s ready for cuddles just offer them, and he’d let you preen him. I love how trusting he is towards you, I couldn’t see any signs of helplessness or distress in this videos, I bet you’re doing so much for him!
So wonderful to see an older bird receiving the love he deserves. Warms my heart🥰🥰

BE CAREFUL. I learnt the hard way that an air dryer is NOT the same as an air fryer...

You have got to wash those stinky-bird wing pits.
I like these more than the dog and cat versions
I wanna pet him and give him mango chunks
that was pretty cool
So cute 🤗❤️
Don’t forget Rocky’s buggers.
Man I thought that was a microwave.😂
Fun fact: a birds ear is just a *hole*
Мои птицы не любят купаться, плтому что потом им холодно. Что это за сушилка для птиц? Она с подогревом?
Niceeee❤
That's great! What kind of wrap did you use? I couldn't hear it clearly in the video. Great idea!!
I think she said "vet wrap"
How old is this sweet little guy?
Would love to know how old he is?❤❤
