If the US were in the soviets position and visa versa, do you think the soviets would be rushing to the US with aid. Look at how they left Poland to be decimated by the Germans. America's war was really the Pacific. They did more than enough.
Also Germany and the Soviet Union were Allies or at the very least had a non aggression pact at the start of the war. It would be like today the West fighting Russia in Ukraine then Putin deciding mid way throughout to also invade their allies China and then the Chinese being pissed at the US for not coming to their aid quick enough. Yeah we'll get there but it's dead last on the priority list.
The soviets would have done nothing to help us. They paid back none of the help we gave them either. Stalin is probably still enjoying his karmic hot seat.
As a fellow combat veteran, I respect this guys service but Iraq and Afghanistan was nothing like WW2. He can’t possibly understand. Watch that ego, guy.
The US was morally justified to fight Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany due to them declaring war on them first but not to the USSR.
The only ones morally obliged to declare war on the USSR were the British Empire and France due to them betraying Poland back in 1939 and not ensuring its independence after WW2 was over.
The bomb was less deadly then firebombing
In defense of America: (1) the Soviet Union was Germany's ally from 1939-1941; (2) it was only after America entered the war that the tide turned; and (3) the U.S., in addition to leading the Western powers against Germany in Europe, also defeated Japan / won the war in the Pacific / Far East. (4) I acknowledge that the Soviet Union did most of the fighting against Germany and lost 20+ million in WW-II.
You forgot the part about the US and UK both sending mass supplies to USSR to help keep them going during Germany's eastern-front 'blitz' attempt. Had they not, there is no stating the USSR pushes back and to Berlin without it
The Russians did it with US supplied trucks and equipment. They didn’t have what it would’ve taken to move that fast against any country in war, much less Germany in WW2.
@@Pittypatmattthe Soviets** people need to quit saying the Russians.
A good portion of those 20 million Soviet casualties were killed by the Soviets themselves.
@@AlanHinsonIt really doesn’t matter
It was Shane that said that to rogan on the pod when he was talking about Khabib
Khruschev was a supporter of Stalin and his horrific purges of millions in the 30s and 40s and was an active participant in the Ukraine version of the purges directing them on behalf of Stalin. Sad to see an American patriot and a soldier no less - trying to reframe him as some reluctant adversary and victim of US aggression. He was a monster.
Don’t mention all the materials that the USA gave to keep allies going and ignore the fact that without that help the allies are done and the fact that Japan goes unchecked without the USA
Watching Kruschev speak reminds me of my condominium board meetings. "The new washing machines cost 21% more than the old ones. I demand an explanation! These new washing machines will cost each of us an additional 35 dollars over the course of the year. This is entirely unacceptable!"
The Soviets would not have been able to defeat the Germans were it not for the extensive military aid we provided as well as the resources we provided to help them build their own military industries. In hindsight, it was a mistake. We should have let the Germans have their way with the Soviets first and then defeated the Germans.
Cold ice of reality. Logistics won WW two. Soldiers that eat well win the most battles. The P-38 was made in the millions, in America by US Speaker Co. and eventually opened most of the meals eaten by the allies that won the battles. The P-51 made by US Shelby Co. in far fewer number opened the larger containers at larger messing facilities. The P-38 and P-51 were most responsible for the winning of the war. I don't feel that there is any misplaced credit, just a bit of untreated myopia.
Nikita Chruschtschow was one of the main guys under Stalin. You fought us in Africa and in Italy and lost a lot of good man who were shoot down when they bombed our military industry and the oil fields in Romania
I’m so sick and tired of veterans tvis and thank your service men for keeping our country safe😂😂😂😂😂.
We been around long enough to become the villain and resurrect the Not see party under a new name and new location if you know what im saying
The good guys don’t always win.
History is written by the victors
So you're saying that good guys lost world war II??
russia wins due to being near ukraine which is one the worlds best farming regions.
and many countries fight for control over trade with that land. seize trade leverage through war and buyouts and bribes coups and whatever schemes even assasinations. this is the entire purpose of nato is its a subagency of dept of state and dept of state also works with international trade agencied and antimoneylaundering and antiterrorism financing. ironically usa DID launder money and heavily financed nato which acted identical to a terrorist organization and also idf.
@@ThatBoyBent there’s no such terms “good guys or bad guys “ in geopolitics
Lol you realize the nazis lost right? And if you do and you're the guy in the picture, you realize they wouldn't have liked you very much, right?
Many many Brits & Canadians died in convoys taking them aid also DDay would never have happened if the front was in ussr

Russia and Japan had a war before the First World War. Russia didn’t invade Japan
He’s talking about The Soviet invasion of Manchuria which began on August 9th 1945.
@ Well unless this clip has been edited then he didn’t give any context because Japan isn’t Manchuria
I guess that view would depend if you consider South Sakhalin as a japanese prefecture or another occupied territory. Russians lost South Sakhalin in 1905 but recovered it in 1945
@@MiguelLopez-yc2rh It isn’t mainland Japan so it isn’t Japan. You wouldn’t say the Argentina invasion of the Falklands was an attack on the British Isles or Great Britain
@@scesfiziaThe term "Mainland Japan" is used to distinguish the large islands of the japanese archipelago from the remote, smaller islands. From 1943 until the end of the Pacific War, Karafuto Prefecture (South Sakhalin) was designated part of the mainland Japan.
Geographically speaking the term "mainland" is somewhat inaccurate, as this refers to an expanse of territory that is attached to a continental landmass which doesnt really apply to any japanese territory.
I thought the same thing.
And deservedly so they funded and equipped and FED their own Army Air force and marines The European theater, the Pacific theater, the free French, the British, the Chinese, partisans and of course lend lease and red army where zhukov said himself years later in an interview that they could not have won without American sheet steel gunpowder locomotives trucks to Haul the artillery, food, 12 million pairs of army boots, how much aviation fuel. They deserve all the credit and they get all the credit just because Stalin killed 20 million people doesn't mean that they could have done it on their own
The Americans forget the British and commonwealth were fighting the Axis since 39, earlier than Russia and the states 👍🏻
getting their asses kicked. if mustache man didnt let your boys escape at dunkirk you would have surrendered with the french in 1940
Nobody forgot, they just don’t care
@@thomasmccann3679there wasn’t a “let them escape” the supply lines didn’t catch up for the Germans.. the Germans then failed to win air superiority in the Battle of Britain losing half their fighter and bomber fleet which was crucial to the tactic of fighting the Germans had.. the British and Aussies had also already turned the tide in North Africa.
@@AlanHinson mustache man purposley let the brits escape because eh thought it would make the brits more amicable towards peace talks. it was a r3t@rded decision
@@thomasmccann3679lived to fight another day and the defeated the Germans in the Battle of Britain, so more than held their own for a small island nation.
American never took the credit. The world gave them the credit, and then cried for decades that they took all the credit. They were however biggest factor in the victory
Lmfao
Why wouldn’t the Anglo-Americans delay the landings when one could instead just keep torching cities and supply chains?
But waiting may have also posed a risk of Stalin conquering beyond Berlin, etc.
‘Soviet Russia’ before and during Stalin must have been wild for Christians. Perhaps the soldiers/generals of America meeting their allies for the first time caused a culture shock for people like Patton.
Also Soviets never invaded Japan. They invaded Manchuria. Which was a big factor in the U.S decision to drop the Bomb
It really wasn’t, Japan had been in Manchuria for years. The only reason the bombs were dropped was to prevent the horrendous casualties a invasion of the Japanese mainland would have inflicted
@ They did not want the Soviets in Japan
@@MikeBronson515 Your knowledge of history is laughable. How is nuking Japan gonna stop the Soviets invading afterwards? You might very well be dimmest person I’ve ever encountered
@ And how would the bombs have prevented Russia from invading Japan? You’re a joke 😂
@ That a serious question? 😂The bombs made Japan surrender before the Russians got there. Not that hard to grasp, sweetheart 😭
America lost ww2
Like the first world war, the Americans showed up after the war had raged for a few years. Thanks for finally showed up though
I heard something that made me laugh the other day I think it was Al Murray talking about the 'surprise' attack on Pearl harbour he said "2 years into a world war yet you was surprised, really?"
if it wasn't for our aid the war would have been over in 43
Yeah, they shouldn’t have showed up at all. Saving your asses was a huge mistake in hindsight
@@MikeBronson515America is famous for picking on the small guy and showing up to fights when one side is winning
@@donsimmons2131 You weren’t wining anything. Also, showed up after a lot of begging, and pleading
Is because America own WW2.
If it wasn't for the american support the sovient union would have fall... that is a fact e everybody knows this...
the fight against Germany would have been brutal on the western side but saying that the soviets did more them they should is crazy.
The US lost about 300,000 troops. Compare that to 4 million Chinese or 20 million Russian. Also, the British Empire bankrupted itself fighting all over the world in multiple theatres simultaneously and the English cracking Enigma probably shortened the war by about two years. The US turn up several years into the war after sitting on its hands like pussies, and then they claim all the credit. Pathetic.
Maybe, but the only reason they were in a position to support is because they were an isolationist power that was mostly out of range of their enemies and entered the war after a few years
This is a US perspective. The rest of the world understand the reality.
the soviets would have lost without lend lease
Well we stop Germany and Japan so ya we won.
Look up when WW2 started, who involved in the fighting ,when the US officially joined the war and when it ended. The Soviet did most of the fighting. Cut down on McDonalds and read some books lol
@@Zov631 Not to mention they probably wouldn't have even gotten involved directly if Pearl Harbor didn't happen.
@@Zov631ok what about Japan? The US defeated Japan pretty much all by itself. Why didn't europeans help out with Japan?
@@mesicek7Europeans: Why does America always join wars that aren't there's? Mind your own business!
Also Europeans: why didn't you join our war earlier? 😂😂😂
@@Zov631 ww2 was far more than just fighting germany. Im not from the US. But lets be real, they did the lions share of the fighing in the pacific. The Russians didnt have the navy to do any of what the US did in the pacific. The US also played a huge hand on the western front, not just fighting but supplying the allied armies including Russia. Russia played a huge role in ww2 but lets not pretend they could have fought the Japanese and germans at the same time.
