- I spent Christmas week exploring all throghout Natlan and getting all the primogems it has to offer! After blood, sweat, and tears, I was able to pull on the new 5.3 banners and get a BRAND new character for my Shields Only account! This is the best way to start off the New Year!!!
Shields Only Rules:
1) Only Shield characters can be used. Characters whose shield can transfer to other chracters as well as characters that can shield themselves will be considered as shield characters. These characters are seen in the list below.

Beidou C1
Candace
Kaeya C4
Baizhu
Diona
Thoma
Traveller C4
Yanfei C4
Yun Jin
Xinyan
Noelle
Layla
Kirara
Citlali
Lanyan
2) I cannot use charaters that unlock a shield with their constellation until I have gotten their constellation. For example I cannot use Kaeya until I get him to C4.
3) Any sort of cheating will result in a 10 Pull on the weapon banner or any banner that does not have any shield characters, resulting in wasted primogems - you guys will decide when the time comes.
4) More rules will be added as they are needed! Have fun!

I wouldn’t consider it cheating when they lock you into a trial character with no other option.

I remember the 3.3 banner where Yelan and Hu Tao are there and I accidentally wished for Hu Tao and got her. Luckily I was lucky enough that the next 10 pull I got Yelan so don't lose hope and trust that the next 10 pull would be Citlali.

It's fine, it happens with best of us. 😢 It was painful to watch, though. That's why i'm always careful and double check everything and don't rush when it comes to pulling. I juggle 3-4 accounts (3 mine, and 1 my friend asks me to look for when he's busy or pull on banners instead of him bc he has no luck), so i get it that it might get easy to mix up accounts here and there. That's why i never convert primos into wishes bc i saw many people convert the wrong one and then regret it. Just don't panic, next time you'll be more careful. And if you'll feel better you can spend money, it's your decision. I probably will also spend some on my challenge account bc 3 catalyst characters back to back is pretty tough on my primos and grinding. So it's your choice and no one forces this challenge be completely f2p in cases like this.
I’m definitely going to be triple checking everytime from now on fr. Can’t make the same mistake twice 😅. I do plan on spending just for Citlali due to the circumstances but I’m still juggling some ideas on how to do so.

i’m so sorry man 😭 this happened to me when i first started genshin. i wished on the childe and yae miko banner for childe, lost 50/50 to diluc, then misclicked and pulled on yae and got her. i restarted my account as it was the first limited 5* got, it was horrible i cried so hard 😭 i hope you get citlali early!!

14:44 : enemie weak point is what you target with bow charged attacks to stun them. For example: hilichurl masks and ruinguard eyes.
It deals extra damage and stuns them when you hit their weakspot with a bow. (Or some characters skills - like furina, keqing and alheitham)
WHATTT how did i not know this 😧 now im kinda inclined to use bows (jk)
i've never done this in genshin, but i accidentally pulled jingliu instead of aventurine in hsr and it was genuinely devastating
I literally had to take a week break from the game and probs won’t be touching mavuika on my main account for another week cuz it’s too traumatic 😭

Oh that Christmas song you mentioned is actually a ukranian protest song from the past it’s called щедрик / shedrik with an i being like very rough, not the “eee” sound an opposite of a mild “e” but still “i”… hard to explain but still if you ever wanted to know there was a European man who stole the sound of shedrik and monetised it as a Christmas song and idk how ukrainians themselves treat this situation but I’m personally pissed at that man. It used to be a song of people begging for their freedom and well it probably is now too… but the whole planet won’t even know cause some too capitalistic to care guy has stolen the melody… ah, just the more I know the more I’m angry, this is the curse of being knowledgeable on too many facts. I know everyone who treats this song as a Christmas one don’t mean any harm, it’s just ignorance of that guy is making me feel bad

If the game locks you into using specific characters I wouldn't consider it cheating to just use them.
Besides, you hardly need the extra punishment right now 😅
Now that you have Diona you don't need to spend money on Citlali, but if you absolutely want to get her do what ye gotta do 😏
For that hydro abyss mage you might have been better of using Yun Jin and Noelle together, the extra bit of geo might have been enough. Of course, with one or maybe two cryo shielders added to your roster it will become very easy 😂

I dont think it is cheating if you are forced to use certain characters... especially if they can make shields easily (mualani normal attack plus kachina = crystalize).

In the earlier episodes we made it so that crystallize would not be considered as shield characters since that would allow me to use any shield character 🫡

Because I managed to pull for yunjin and for my account, having 3 geo characters wouldn’t be that beneficial (and not having enough primos) A cyro character like Citlali would be better for elemental reactions even tho it’s not damage inflicting 😅 plus shingling will be having a rerun!!

i would consider complaining less. just some advice, the constant complaining about being stuck in trial characters gets really annoying. obviously if its a trial and u have no other choice, it's not cheating on the challenge. get over it and just keep going

IDK actually, i'm really a big fan of genshin because of the PVP mechanics and the spiral abyss. THe story being good is just an AMAZING add on! I've found that I typically enjoy open world game with mechanics I like to play with i.e Cyberpunk and Genshin lol. But that isn't me saying no, maybe i will in the future!

Personally I'd say since this is your own challenge, you should honestly choose what you want to do🩷. If you really want to get Citlali still, go get her spending money😭 we can all just cope, pretending Mavuika didn't happen and you got Citlali with the primos you saved💀 perhaps as a middle ground, you could buy/use around the same amount primogems as you have grinded? That way, it's essentially a reset back to how it was before.

I got mavuika on my main account but I havnt played her cause it’s too traumatic 💀 BUT I gotta start cause I wanna make a video on her and I’m hoping that’ll help me move one LMFAO. I do plan on spending money and that is actually a GREAT idea!! Thanks!!
