One time back in 1962, my parents were driving home from a Drive-in movie and saw a woman be pushed out of a moving car. My parents stopped to help her. While waiting for an ambulance, my dad provided an army blanket to cover her with which went with her to the hospital. My dad took my mom and sisters home and then went to the hospital "for his blanket". I assume he was worried about the woman. Shortly after my dad got home and into bed, he discovered that the bed was wet and mother's water had broken. This was the day that I was born. I'm the only one of four children who was born early. I'm assuming it has everything to do with the stress my mom was feeling from what she witnessed.

I saw a guy cross the street at night and get hit by the car in front of me. He died. It was very traumatizing. It felt like I was in a movie. I was the first one up to him and he was in a pool of blood.
Had a panic attack three weeks later when it finally sank in. But I totally get it, Joy!
This happened to a girlfriend and I when we went down to Florida for spring break our first year of college. We came upon a large car pile up, I think 11 cars or something, and almost everybody was dead. It was horrific ! I will never forget going up to the window of one of the cars and the man was still alive, but the steering wheel had gone into him. He was bleeding to death and his wife was dead next to him and so were his kids and he couldn’t turn his head ,he kept asking about his wife.
Maybe the greatest story I have ever heard.

Whoopi knows there is only so much time in the program for Joy's story and it's her job to make sure everyone stays within their time allotment. She hates that part of the job, as we know, so I think her irritation just bleeds through.

I saw a man being dragged by a car i don't know if he fell out the car or what but everybody was screaming for the car to stop it was traumatizing and i still think about that man today

It is common for 911 operator to ask if you want to provide your name and phone number. If you were the first car behind the incident. Authorities may want to follow up with additional questions. You also could be summoned in a trial. So sorry Joy and Whoopi, you are both incorrect concerning the interactions with a 911 operator.

@@Masikabarbie I suppose that's possible. It's also possible that Joy consistently runs over her time allotment and Whoopi has to rein her in. Joy loves to talk, and I love listening to her. Unfortunately, the limitations of the show require that each person has only so much time to speak, and it's Whoopi's job to maintain that.

My favorite story about Joy is her lawsuit against Ryan Reynolds! You see Joy has a contract with Disney for Ryan to appear on her low rated show for $10 million dollars. In an effort to get publicity for the new Deadpool 3 movie! And who would knows what Deadpool audiences want better than Joy! I don’t think it’s going it’s going to go down as she expects it! Be prepared to sued by both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman! Who was also to join Joy on the show in and out their costumes for Eight appearances talking with and play fighting and taking with joy! 🤮. As a speech teacher, the interruptions make me insane. Why does anyone feel she has to interject what she thinks is cute in the middle of a storyline we’re trying to follow?
Because the basic itinerary of the show is determined beforehand. There is only so much time for each person to speak on any subject, and then they must move along. As the moderator, it's Whoopi's job to keep things on schedule, and she gets clear signals from off camera if that isn't happening. I wish they had more time for certain subjects, too, but it's the nature of the medium.
