I love that the Tale of the Nine Tailed writers saw how many people just loved the brother romance/felt that Rang deserved better & said 'alright let's give the people what they want' and MADE BANK hahahaha
Absolutely right, I didn't miss ji ah in this whole season but I had a feeling that rang deserve more and better in season 1. Rang was a teenager when yeon left him, humans attack him, burn the forest due to which he had to kill his dog which was a gift from yeon and that's all happen because of ah eum so he has all the rights to fell bad. And when yeon came back (as shown in season 1) rang was happy to see him but yeon attacked him by his sword which almost killed him but he was saved by a villain in season 1.
I really liked the ending of season 1. Rang finally did what his brother would do for him. (I didn't even think about Ji Ah for a minute) I think we shouldn't forget that Rang isn't innocent he killed and tortured so many people throughout his life, just to differentiate himself from his brother. I love Rang as a Character and Kim Boem as an Actor. Sam goes for Lee Dong Wook and Lee Yeon. But I don't think that Yeon is the bad guy. I think they where just traumatised through their past and made some bad decisions, which ended in hurting one another.
@@reselchen0075 But the show is not very consistent in its consequences. Take Yeon for example, he has also killed humans (especially in S2) for which he didn't get any punishment. Then there is Hong Joo who got some time in hell. Why did Rang necessarily have to die? and let's not forget Moo Young. Tilaupa(?) should've turned him back to stone or whatever & he killed a lot of people too by releasting the yaacha and the other fucked up shit, but he seemed to walk away fine. To me it seems weird that just Rang had to die for what he did when the other characters manage to get away with more.
@@allyqueen2927Rang didn't have to die, he died for Yeon, which is like a redemption because after all he did kill a lot of humans to rebel from his brother (don't misunderstand me Rang is one of my fav characters). While Yeon helped Tailuipa for quite some time to do missions, so it kinda makes sense(?) Hong Joo and Moo Young tho can take some more character development/backstory, but I think Moo Young definitely deserves a consequence (not dying but still after releasing the yaacha and all that) Maybe he got it after the story but we didn't get to see

This is the directors way of apologizing for not giving us the brotherly love we wanted in season 1 lol. If they make a season 3 I hope they continue with giving us this brotherly love. I want them, especially Yeon, to still be affectionate towards one another. And especially don’t just make it like they care about their partners only (looking at you season 1).
