22:25 That tanuki interaction looked incredible for some reason. The sudden appearance of the tanuki, coupled with the smooth zoom of the camera felt like a side quest in a video game!
I think my favorite thing about these videos is that while you don't go too fast to catch a lot of detail on the way, I can always go back and pause/look closer at things if I feel like I missed something. :)
A small piece of information - Nerima City, a central, yet beautifully green neighborhood, is well known among anime fans as the birthplace of the industry. It's home to multiple production studios, and evidence of that heritage can be found throughout this part of Tokyo. The surrounding area has several parks and gardens, including Hikarigaoka Park and Makino Memorial Garden.
Lovely work as always, Rambalac! I cannot wait to someday see these streets for myself, but you do an excellent job of sharing it with the world in the meantime.
With the countless hours of Rambalacs walks that I have enjoyed, it still tickles me that Japan still has community notice boards for people to put up flyers and other notices, like the one on the corner at 25:12
@@CasualTS Here, in Australia, there aren't many left, which ones that have survived are in some of the smaller supermarkets that tout themselves as "supporting the locals", and typically you need to hand in your flyer to the service counter to get it pre-approved to go onto the board. Though yeah, it is mostly tree trimmers, electricians and mobile car mechanics.
Thanks to you we explore lots of nice interesting places we'd hardly ever see as visitors, Japan as it really is 💖! Amazing sky in many shades of blue, even the first twinkling stars🌟✨, natural light transitions...👍, and yes, a bit of Hitchcock is o.k.😉 ! Wow, the cat was in a hurry, but - Tanuki, nice to meet you 🙀😅!!
Love how peaceful your walks are. And I love that you saw a Tanuki! :D Funny enough, to this day, when I see Nerima I still think of the manga/anime Ranma 1/2. In fact, Shakuji-Koen Park is what inspired the artist for her park scenes. Very awesome. Thanks for this!
Another great walk through Japan, thanks to the good work of Rambalac, sometimes he asked me watching your videos, from the information I have collected, Japan has 125.8 million inhabitants and in the case of the city you walked in today's video , Nerima, has about 700 thousand inhabitants and here is my question how on several occasions I see that you walk through streets absolutely alone with very few people and cats playing around... So that mystery is another thing besides beauty of its constructions and nature call my attention to Japan. Greetings Rambalac...🇯🇵🇨🇱
The first place I moved too when arriving in Japan in 2007. Not much has changed save for the huge Life supermarket and a big UNIQLO. Only thing that sucked was the 3am alerts to fly out of YOKOTA . I had no car so I would stay on base due to lack of transportation after 12am, it was so worth it. Great restaurants and night life. Now I’m on the Chuo line by Nakano it’s a lot easier.
Lived in Nerima for 3 years (1979-'82) and loved it. Haven't seen this entire video, but will do so later. Looking for the Mister Donut shop on the main street by the train station. Guess it's gone by now. As is the old Nerima police and fire station just a block away. Fond memories indeed.
From one cool cat to another; I think they will try to profit from desperate tourists the first months, so don't get your hopes up too much. Thailand did the same, but now it's back to normal without entry restrictions, quarantine, insurance certificate, PCR etc.. I'm going back to Japan this winter and hope there are no expensive "if's" by then.
We stayed here in Nerima (airbnb) when we visited Japan last 2018 before pandemic. This area is far from the city center of Tokyo but because the trains are very efficient, it only takes about 30min or so to get to center Tokyo from Nerima. 😁
That poor tanuki was almost bald :( Scabies? Did you notice there was a black cat at 22:11 exiting the same path just before the tanuki? :) Maybe he didn't want to catch the scabies.
Hi. I am curious. How can you show the picture in the video thumbnail, of the live walk you are going to undertake few hours later? Or you are just publishing the already recorded and edited video on the scheduled time. Sincere question. No criticism here. I am a subscriber.
This man and cats! Will somebody PLEASE! Over there in Japan, buy him a cat?! I sware, he’s going to come back as a cat in his next life. He probably was one in a former life that’s why he loves them so much now. With good reason, cats are the best. Lol

I love your walks from day to night very much 👍
Wow, a tanuki! Very special to see!!
Bonus! Cat and tanuki! Thank you for another interesting walk
To me you are the best most valuable channel on youtube, i'd trade everyone else's content for yours :)

I look forward to your Sunday walks. Love Japan. Thank you from Scotland.
Tanuki!!😱how cool is that👍. I’ve walked a bit around this area but never would expect to see a Tanuki in a residential area!

Is this why the residential areas reminds me of scenes from old Mangas I used to collect 😍❤️ (cozy Japanese neighborhood and houses).
that dolly zoom was perfect

It always seems so nice and peaceful
Lovely walk!

If my neighborhood had one of those it would be full of home remodeler and tree trimmer ads :/

Definitely going to watch it tonite with my cat love your walks.🙂🚶♂️🚞🐈🍵💐 Always watch them. plus watched every one now.
Nice trippy effect at the beginning
A number of Tanukis DO exist in the Imperial Palace, which Mr. Rambalac visited several times. It is just incredible, is it not?
Seeing you pass by all these food places made me hungry.
2022 and this dude is still walking! I hope he reaches his destination soon.
Another nerima walk, wohoo! Your other nerima walk is my favorite vid of yours

Beautiful
Thanks @Rambalac the 🐱🐱lover。
This is so beautiful! I really glad Japan finally open its borders! Can't wait to visit Tokyo one day!
“Fineally” opened it’s boarders?

waaah.. the dolly zoom in the beginning! Hitchcock Rambalac 😀
I love the hardworking salarymen!
Thank you too!
Just one tanuki. I would have expected another one or two. Some of those Alleys are aweful dark and overgrown.
Great videos + great channel 👍
These videos are beautiful
Wow a tanuki sighting! Is that rare in Tokyo?
Really nice video.
Awesome place
Well this is a surprising encounter 😁 So surprising that even you seemed to have been surprised, haha
The graphics in this game are amazing
1:12:24 did you guys hear that? I don’t understand Japanese. Can you please translate and opin as to what it is?
Verry nice Video 👍👍
Love your video's 👌👌
Hey @rambalac I’m inspired by your videos
I would love to get some info and insight into how you go about doing this. I want to do same kind of videos on my channel.
The Tanuki was sweet little fellow, shame he didn't hang around for a bit :)
Could you maybe drive to a lake like Biwa or Kasumigaura ?
Deixando meu like abraços e valeu meu amigo!
Hello! Greetings from Monterrey, México! What's that animal from time 22:33?!? He seemed kinda shy hehe
tanuki!
That poor tanuki was almost bald :( Scabies? Did you notice there was a black cat at 22:11 exiting the same path just before the tanuki? :) Maybe he didn't want to catch the scabies.
Them small roads must be why I don't see any Hummers parked beside people's houses
Great video, im your fan , im a UA-camr too , both walking and driving base in California

It's not live stream but prerecorded video played in sync between viewers plus live chat, for more detail you can search "UA-cam Premieres"

If I was a cat needing to take a walk in order to calm down.... this is the route I'd take
It look fantastic as always. The reds, and greens look very vibrant in places, what colour grading do you use, if any? Thanks.
I would love to see how you look from other peoples perspective :D

Hello Rambalac , What watch are you using ?11:36 Thanks
everything is in the description
about the dolly zoom, I think that if the effect is about 5 or 6 seconds, it could be better defined.
That's too long for an intro
so cool thx
Tanuki 22:45
wow ! real tanuki (it is wild animal which is supposed to live in countryside)
I want to go :)
Today I learned tanukis exist, never knew about raccoon dogs.
I can't figure out what the blue nets on sidewalk railing is about. Does it catch blowing trash and leaves?
That's trash collection spot. The net is to cover trash bags to keep them in one place in case of strong wind.
screen-shot of the black cat @22:11 or it didn't happen lol (I cannot find it)
Behind the guy sitting in the park
what kind of animal was that at 22:27? It looked scared.
I feel like I've seen the thumbnail somewhere... 💀

What was your old Sony lens? How do you like your new lens compared to the old one? Really been thinking about this for the PZ.

What kind of shoes do you wear when you go out for a walk like this?
Montbell trekking shoes.
1080p? Or will it update to 4k later
Oh, it's still 4K in HDR but after premiere 4K in SDR is gone :( I will report to UA-cam support.
