Hello Dave I have long followed all the Dave’s Picks and own many of them. This week o have been going thru some 78” Dead shows and one really stood out to me that does not have any type of official release. It’s the

Yikes, the lady in the background is going swimming! DeKalb is a great show. It seems they hit out of the park practically every night in '77. Great set list, everybody is happening, and I can't say I've ever heard Phil play more brilliantly from start to finish on any other performance. At one point he says, "This is the happiest night of my life!"

Surprised he didn't mention how unique the Eyes is for the era with its slow tempo, it's really one of a kind. While it's been some time since I listened to it, oddly I don't remember much about the first set, only vague memories of that Let it Grow being a good one. For me this one was always about that Estimated>Eyes/jam and the Stephen/NFA.
David, what is the date of the Grateful Dead concert Joseph Campbell attended? You all must have photos of him with his wife Jean or some documentation to nail it down. It would be amazing to know the myths involved with his show. Inquiring minds want to know.

There's not one doubt in my mind that if it's a money 💰 thing then we'd pull it together. Weir quite full of hustle and grind and ain't never met a Shakedown ST we didn't like. Ive never seen soundboard copies of 6/13/94 Seattle? I know there's sbds of 6/14/94. Could you circulate those shows? I would guess you where at that one too? Was my first both nights and Eugene were my first 5 dead shows. Still haven't changed from that experience lol.

Sound quality of San Bernardino is phenomenal. One of the best. Hoping that this rivals that.

I joined in the "listening party" in the early hours of this morning (I'm in Scotland) & thinking what a great job on the sound & choice of tracks. Then "Let It Grow" came on as the 3rd choice. Wow ! Just WOW !
This is one show I would definitely want in my collection but have little chance f finding the disc over here. Could you please upload that individual track to the Tube. I need to hear it again ....& again .....& again.

Still can’t get my head around the fact that people would still choose to buy and collect physical CDs. Seems totally ridiculous. Laptops and cars don’t even have cd drives anymore do they? Mine don’t. Why would you want a physical disc? Young people discovering what it’s like to own vinyl and sit around and slow down and do all that ritual - I get it. But CDs .... they never had any aesthetic appeal on any level ... unless your other option was a store-bought mass produced cassette. 😂
